bought a coat on internet went on holiday before it arrived when i returned the coat did not fit went to local store to ask for an exchange told no out of time , complained to head office told no again company policy . great customer service for a long term customer never again . give them a miss they dont care !!!!

Denied statutory rights Refunded for wrong items Refunded in wrong format (not original payment method) Passed around 7 different advisors All will dodge your legitimate questions and line of argument They DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CONSUMER RIGHTS So they can keep the goods and pocket your money too, fobbing everybody off with illegally administered e-vouchers DO NOT SHOP WITH THIS CROOKED BUSINESS

I have just put a previous review through that i was extremely happy with the service i received today in Meadowhall. However i feel it is important to mention after leaving the womens dept after spending over £200, we arrived in the mens shirt area. We were struggling to understand what the sizing in mens shirts are. As my husband was browsing the shirts i asked the only male assistant i could see putting stuff on a rail. He was quite young and thin in build. I asked him to explain what the names meant ie. moderate etc., he mumbled the details out and to be honest i didnt really understand the sizing after he spoke to me. My husband and I continued to look at shirts bewindered by what would actually fit him (he is a fairly broad size) A second couple came up to the assistant and asked the very same question i had, to which he sprung into action and explained to him more slowly the sizing. He then took him into a fitting room whereby he started to try shirts on with him. I couldnt believe the difference in service. If my husband had been supported in this manner perhaps maybe we would have found what we were looking for and purchased a shirt or 2 that fitted him. In disgust we left the department. Not long after we saw the same couple in Marks as were us and we all managed to understand the clear signs explaining sizes. We noted that not only did we find 2 shirts so did the other couple. What a shame we had to go elsewhere, so on this day the service on the mens dept let us down.

I went to Meadowhall today with my husband to look for a guest Wedding outfit. The staff from phase eight were simply amazing. I was looked after and supported by helping to choose the dresses, and this excellent service went on whilst trying them on in the fitting room. Staff chatted with my husband and helped us all to make the right choices by giving their genuine opinions. I couldnt make my find up on 2 of the dresses so bought the 2. I just want to say that these 2 staff who contributed in the service deserve to me thanked in the form of a review. In addition i would add that its simply lovely that the staff pack the items nicely and take care to place them in the bags. It makes one feel extra special. Thankyou for the special touch. HOF.

Darlington House Of Fraser "I have had the most AMAZING experience at The House of Fraser today, Eseyoma their personal shopper found me with arm loads of dresses, and invited me in to her fitting room for a private consultation, I must admit i was hesitant, however i don’t know why! I am going to a wedding in April and have been so stressed looking for the right outfit, Eseyoma was so helpful advising me on the best style, shape and colour to suit me and gave me her honest professional opinion. After discussing my requirements Eseyoma found the perfect dress for me including shoes and accessories although the chosen dress was not available in my size, Eseyoma found a perfect alternative online. I would never have found this dress and accessories without Eseyoma's help. I highly recommend Eseyoma, she made my shopping experience fun and much less stressful than trying to find it all for myself! Thank you Eseyoma YOUR AMAZING

House of Fraser customer service policy = ‘THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG”. My wife bought me an expensive toilet bag for my birthday via the HoF website. Just before my birthday a random Farah t-shirt turned up. So random no connection was made with the bag and we assumed it was a gift from a friend. When we eventually made the connection a few weeks later (having opened and binned the packaging) we called HoF who conducted a ‘warehouse investigation’ and emailed (rather than called us back) to tell us that we had definitely been sent the toilet bag therefore we would receive no refund. They posted back the t-shirt we had returned and hadn't ordered. Take the customer’s word for it? No chance. My wife has since spoken to you three times to try and explain what happened. You believed your warehouse rather than us and as a result you have effectively stolen £155 from us and left us with a worthless t-shirt we couldn’t give away. The inference from you is that we are trying to steal from you. Warehouses / distribution centres never make mistakes do they? Yeah right. Try putting your customers first for a change. This is appalling customer service. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. We won’t ever again. John Lewis would never behave in this manner towards their customers, which is why John Lewis is a thriving business and this one isn't.

We bought a very expensive Sisi Italia 4 seater sofa bed. The metal structure which supports the mattress is too weak and after 6 weeks of regular normal use as a bed by a non overweight person it has now a dent and taken the shape of the body. I have contacted House of Fraser and so far they have been very unhelpful, dismissive and rude. Be aware if you buy this sofa. Looking at other feed back it looks like it is a common treatment of customers by House of Fraser....I assumed they were a good and reputable company!

HOF is by far my favourite place to shop, I spend, for me, a lot of money in there over a year. I’ve never had cause to ever complain or be upset, their deliveries are always prompt not damaged and if collected in store served by friendly staff. There shopfloor staff have always been very good and helpful. This all changed today 4th March 2018. I had reason to return 2 dresses. I had purchased one in store from the Oasis department, when I’d got it home I found a small hole in it so I planned to return it, the same dress then a few days later on line was reduced by £5 so I thought I’d take advantage as I was returning the damaged one anyway. When I collected the online order I tried it on first before I returned anything, only to find, although the same dress it didn’t fit quite the same the top was a little too tight. Today I went into my local store Solihull. To explain and see if there was still one in store. The contempt I was dealt with by 2 very young, obviously inexperienced girls was quite frankly awful. You can change it I was told but we’ll refund the online on exchange the one you bought in store. No I said it’s not my fault and as I bought the online slightly reduced I want to keep my discount, you can’t do that I was told you must keep the full price one. Again I challenged as I said if I had returned the faulty one first, and then bought online and needed to exchange there wouldn’t have been a problem. I was just being honest and telling the whole story. The huffing and look on their faces was quite frankly disgusting and not the service I’ve come to expect from HOF. I sincerely hope this was a one off and these members of staff get to go on some form of customer service training as I certainly would never employ them to work with customers. They in the end did do the transaction as I had requested, so it obviously was ok they were just being difficult, which is not what I want from my shopping experience.
