Patricia & manuel October 11, 2017 at 5:26 pm Your comment is awaiting moderation. Hi. We purchased for our first time ever in your Florida IKEA store. We thought things went ok. Little did we know they were far from ok. The young lady Roxanne ordered our sofas. We told her three times two of one and one sectional. She even ask us how many of the single sofas and we repeated TWO. So when the delivery of one sofa and one sectional came I was so mad. What the heck. How many times do we say two of the EKTORP sofas. Omg. The. My husband went to the store today afternoon delivery and they blamed us for not double checking her ordering skills. REALLY! Your orders are so confusing and broken down into pieces who would have known. I added 2 sofas for $395 and one for 1299 and then took 15% off. That came to the total we had with the delivery and put together fee so we figured she was correct. What the heck SHE ONLY ORDERRED ONE IT WAS HER MISTAKE AND YOUR STORE BLAMED HER MISTAKE ON US. AND THEN WANTED TO CHARGE US ANOTHER DELIVERY FEE SND PUT TOGETHER FEE. RIDICULOUS. what ever happened to customer service and the customer Is always right. What a horrible first time experience !!!!! What have we learned ….we learned that we cannot trust. Your customer assoc to add or order correctly no matter how many times they ask or how many times we tell them, what we want. Andy we cannot expect any customer service to back us their mistakes and that they will always blame the customers. How about they not blame the customer! When a mistake is made by an employee how about owning it instead of taking it out on the customer !

As always, IKEA provides good value products and you can rely on their quality. I'm very happy with my order, which all were true to description and easy enough to assemble. The only downsides were that I couldn't get a few products as they were not available online, as well as the relatively long delivery time (around 2 weeks for me).

I needed a sofa bed that I could take away in the day. The sofa bed looks good and is reasonably comfortable. On the downside the boxes it came in were huge and the warehouse staff wouldn't help me get it into the car. Also the covers don't come off to wash and in hindsight I wouldve bought a one with removable covers.

Visiting the Ikea store in Tampa on a recent vacation was fabulous. We got some great ideas and some great deals. However, one of the products I purchased was sub-par. Specifically, OFTA unscented candles, which smelled like rotting meat. I never even burned them. The odor was so bad (even after I wrapped them in plastic) I threw them in the trash. It took weeks for the lingering smell to leave the house. I found no way to review the great products, like the rolling cart I purchased, and no way to comment on the candles. My research also led me to tons of reviews on sites like this one (not at IKEA) about problems with delivery, etc. Poor business model if you ask me. The best way to keep the cash rolling in is to keep potential buyers in the dark? I don't think so. The bloom is off the rose and this shopper is much more leery about IKEA purchases now.

Fintorp Rails... ARE TO BE AVOIDED. The designer of this product has/had NO IDEA how to create a hidden mounting system. I have installed hundreds of different hidden mounting rack and rail systems for clients, and this one is just a waste of money, time and material. The series needs to be redesigned.

Some people have a knack for online shopping. I do not. I love some of the items in Ikea, but it's one of those stores that I need to actually be in because some of their stuff is great and looks more expensive then it is and other stuff just looks cheap. If you can tell which products you will be okay with or are not that picky, then you'll be fine, shop away. I on the other hand need to go in the store and it's not that close to my house :( I just had to return several items (although I kept a few as well) because they weren't up to par with what I wanted. It's not really Ikeas fault though so I gave them 3 stars.
