Purchased some lightbulbs that was clearly priced £0:10 each, later at home checking the receipt I noticed I had been charged £1:50 each and buying 10 meaning £14:00 overcharged, I contacted IKEA customer service who were a waste of time, they even asked if I had taken a picture of the price on the light bulbs (who would) they then said they can not do anything and said go back to the Sheffield store to see if they can help but this would cost £10 in petrol to have an argument. This is a trading standards issue that IKEA customer service are not prepared to address

Worst company to deal with- Customer so called 'Care' could not crare less - Our oder didnt arrive at pick up point - Nobody showed up leaving everyone waiting in the rain - its been days trying get a refund NEVERMIND any kind of compensation. NEVER again.

Ikea kitchens- DO NOT FALL FOR IT! 9.000£ spent and we are on 7th week of the kitchen which ment to be done in 7 days! Design team in Sheffield branch really good nothing to complain about however kitchen team which now apparently is moved out of stores to one location shocking! They told us kitchen we choose is being discontinued so we will have issues with sustaining all the parts so we redesign all and choose different product. Take a guess... we are still waiting for missing cubets and it's 7 weeks since first delivery! They sent wrong oven £200 cheaper than the one we've paid for! Kitchen counter came damaged 4 times this delayed whole project by weeks again! We still waiting by the way... as simple thing as handles where missing back ordered! Kitchen fitting team coming whenever they want but not when scheduled! There's no complain team I've tried trust me! I've been told they do not monitor their emails which is a absolute joke! If you are ringing kitchen team (because that's what they will direct you to do) you on hold for 40 min and they still can't help you! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING WE ARE STARTING PROCEDURES WITH TRADING STANDARDS AS NO OTHER ROADS TO TAKE, DO NOT TRUST THEM! DO NOT BUY FROM IKEA! And merry Christmas to us from IKEA without kitchen!

🛋️ IKEA Complaint — An Unacceptable Experience Two weeks ago, we bought a sofa at IKEA Avenida da República (Lisbon). Since then, we’ve been living through a complete nightmare of failures, rescheduling, and total lack of respect for the customer. 🔹 The delivery has been rescheduled three times, always due to “unforeseen circumstances” with no credible explanation. 🔹 We spent hours on the phone with customer support, even agreeing to skip the assembly just to finally receive the sofa. 🔹 We even received a confirmation email for the new delivery — only to have it canceled again a few hours later, with no explanation. Two weeks later, the sofa still hasn’t been delivered, the payment was made in full, and IKEA keeps repeating that they “regret the inconvenience.” We feel deceived, disrespected, and completely ignored by a brand that claims to put the customer first. Ikea ordering service is severly broken 1, Order placed to value of 12k euros 2, items advised as not available at time of order are not paid for or reserved to forfill customers orders .- and as a result customer has no contract with ikea to supply as its not part of intial order . 3,the items that not available are only advised to be delivered when ALL items are available and cannot be reserved as no order is in place as per item 2 4, supply chain issues may result in over 3 month wait for items not on original orders as they are not resereved untill paid for by client and may not be available if not paid for the same day and may become unavailable as customer confirms delivery date . 5, delivery of unavailable items is only confirmed by logistics team and only on confirmation of delivery date by customer can order be fully placed see item 4 6 restart whole process of ordering items as order will be cancelled if collection of delivery to ikea design shop location by customer is not made on agreed time - this is not a shop pickup but customer is to meet driver and collect from delivery company van - you do have a 2 hour window for van pickup privided driver is on time and your happy to go collect and wait the 2 hours during your allocated slot . In summary ikea uses third party delivery companies to deliver and they set times and dates for delivery -ikea are not concerned about any unavailble items and delays caused when customer cant complete thier kitchen ,wadrobe or any project you may have that consists of unabailable items as initial order is completed i Order placed sep 25 Various emails advising customer items are not available without any follow up .. November 25 -Still awaiting doors and end panels to complete a 12 k euro kitchen.. Several calls have still not resolved issues Ikea.pt ....unless you are customer who can collect or order a complete project.. do not order ...you may end up with a half finished project awaiting doors panels ..

Horrible customer service as well poor quality. Their customer service agents promised to ensure results and customer satisfaction. That didn’t happen. I had to call their customer service dept 4 times in the last 2 weeks. They also partnered up with task rabbit to work on the assembly. The task rabbit assembler flaked on me twice. Overall, the worst experience

Extremely disappointed with IKEA Dublin’s service. I ordered kitchen doors online — they arrived damaged three times in a row. Each time I returned them, waited for replacements, and they were delivered damaged again. I even brought the damaged ones back to the store myself, but the replacements still arrived with defects. After weeks of delays and frustration, I’ve lost confidence in their quality control and delivery process. I expected much better from IKEA. I hope they review their packaging and handling process — customers shouldn’t have to go through this multiple times for the same order

IKEA returns is not customer friendly, in fact, they have no care for customers! I started my exchange process September 3rd and have submitted photos of the issue 8 different times at this point (It is currently September 23rd)! Every letter I get now, asks for photos, which I have provided. They are either inept or just stalling. Horrible experience! NEVER AGAIN AT IKEA!!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THERE.

If buying anything from IKEA, do not rely on their delivery service. They change delivery days by whole weeks on the day of delivery, without warning or apology. Totally messing up installation plans for kitchen. Very amateurish organisation.

Would give 0 stars if it was an option waited on an item for 2 weeks delivery day came and went a week later I rang customer service only to be told the item was out of stock! No email or communication if I hadn't have rang they would have just kept my money for an out of stock item awful.company

Llevo más de un mes intentando montar una cómoda ALEX (pedido online nº 1530136589 realizado en IKEA.es) y mi experiencia con la tienda online de IKEA ha sido frustrante e inaceptable. Todo parecía correcto, pero al llegar al montaje final descubrí que las seis piezas laterales de los cajones grandes eran del mismo lado (todas izquierdas), lo cual hacía imposible terminar el mueble. Contacté con el servicio de atención al cliente online el 16 de junio, pasé casi 40 minutos en el chat, y me prometieron enviar las piezas correctas. El paquete llegó el 28 de julio, más de un mes después, pero para mi sorpresa contenía piezas para cajones pequeños, no para los grandes. Otro error. Tuve que volver a contactar con el chat (otros 40 minutos), enviar fotos, explicar que el mueble ya estaba montado y anclado a pared, estantería y mesa, y aún así me insistían en devolver el artículo completo y bien embalado, algo físicamente imposible en ese estado. Tras insistir una y otra vez, por fin aceptaron la única solución razonable: enviar una cómoda nueva y recoger solo las piezas erróneas, sin desmontar todo. Agradezco que finalmente entendieran el problema, pero me parece inaceptable que una marca como IKEA haga tan difícil una gestión posventa sencilla, especialmente en un pedido online. He perdido tiempo, energía y paciencia por una falta de control de calidad y una atención al cliente que no escucha ni resuelve de forma eficiente. Ojalá mi experiencia sirva para mejorar el servicio. IKEA tiene buenos productos, pero la gestión postventa online necesita una revisión urgente.

The 90-day return policy for mattresses is absolutely ridiculous. We tested the mattress, then completely wrapped it in plastic, towed it in a minivan, and what happened? At the right angle and under the right light, the woman at the counter found a stain that was just barely visible. Nothing can be done, it's not possible to return it. Then we had to laboriously repack it there and transport it away, and now we'll probably throw it away at our own expense. For a 90-day "test" period, I want to see a mattress where I don't find a tiny stain somewhere. Then you just tell me you can't return it.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with IKEA. I received the wrong item, and after calling customer service, they arranged for it to be picked up. However, I never received the correct order afterward. Each time I called, I was told that my order was on the way — but it never arrived. I feel like I’ve been lied to repeatedly, and there has been no real effort to resolve the issue. This experience has been frustrating and unacceptable. The delivery service they used is unreliable, and the overall customer service has been very poor. I do not recommend shopping at IKEA based on this.

I purchased a chair from this company for delivery on the 29/5/25. I then received an email on the 2/6/25 saying that your order is on its way and has left the building scheduled to be delivered between 08:00 and 16:00 on the 9/6/25. The delivery never arrived and I was not provided with any updates or explanation. I called on the 20/6/25 and waited for over an hour only to be told the order was never sent and had the order refunded. All I can say is do not order online for delivery, click and collect. At least you might get what you ordered and won’t have to wait over three weeks to be told it was never sent. Absolutely appalling IKEA !!

IKEA charged us for a table on store and they told us we have to collect it from their depo next door. We are in the depo now for about 30 minutes we didn’t even manage to speak to anyone, just waiting around like we not sure what to do. We are by the reception staff walks by and ignore us.
