I purchased an area rug for my foyer and didn’t bother to unroll it since I was traveling. Unfortunately after I arrived home, I found that it was crooked at both ends. Poor quality and I will never buy from this company again.

Looks like they dont offer deliver to the room service so if you have ordered somethinv heavy and needs to go up the stairs. You dont have somone helping you, you are on your own. any elderly, disabbled or live alone individuals should find the muscles before they order. I would have gladly paid for them to go right to where they need to be.

Buying packages with missing parts and then going through hell to get some customer service to get the parts needed. At the store they have no system to find anything, on the phone it's even worse. I'm waiting over 4 weeks now for parts and everyone you talk to has a different answer.

Great products but customer service not good at all. I’ve been waiting for 30 minutes now to get some help to put a wardrobe in my car. Took me 5 mins to get the product and grabbed someone to put it on a trolley but now there are 2 people at the desks and about 25 people waiting. It’s terrible service

PS 2014 Pendant Light. Impossible to get the dome to fit firmly to the ceiling. Had to cut a bit of batten the length of the diameter of the dome, remove original rose and terminal block, screw batten to ceiling and fasten dome to batten with 2 screws thru' the lip of the dome.

Constant delays, inaccurate emails and constant revisions to back ordered items. Most of the staff are great! If only their reliability was as good as the people who work there.

Very time consuming to order online, many things not available, you realize after selecting. Selected 7 items browsing for 2 hours. While making the payment, though entered PAN no., tried uploading PAN, keeps on showing 'the site isn't working'. Amazon is much more convenient.

I ordered a Norden gateleg table, the birch option. The good points: 1) The material itself was impressive; it claimed to be solid birch, and it certainly seemed much more solid and heavy than any plywood or fiberboard I've worked with. 2) The instructions were fairly clear, though not without some uncertain spots. 3) The overall design seems good. The bad point: 1) Assembly was a nightmare. It comes with 42 short machine screws, and almost none of the pre-drilled holes could accommodate more than half of the screw. As a result, the folding leaves are unstable and the table seems generally unsafe to use. I'm giving 2 stars because of the good points cited above and the possibility that this was an unusual manufacturing defect. However, given that they don't allow product reviews on the US site, I'm guessing they know this is status quo.

I am rating Ikea as Poor due to their customer service. I specifically phoned to discuss the delivery of some furniture to my 92 year old Mother-in-Law who is moving into a 1st floor apartment & wanted to confirm that the delivery would be OK as there are 14 straight steps to her apartment. I was advised that they could not guarantee delivery and the driver would make a Health & Safety assessment at the point of delivery. When asked for a copy of the criteria I was advised that they didn't have this and it was 'down to the driver'. I then asked how a 92 year old lady was potentially going to have to move the delivery from the bottom of the stairs they could not answer. It will be interesting to see what occurs when the delivery is made, or not as other companies have delivered such items as fridge freezers with no problem!

Bought the "Billy" bookshelf in dark brown about a year ago, and it's been slowly falling apart since then. The back panel separated, and the shelf started leaning sideways a few months ago. Lower shelf finally gave out: the rivets that held up the shelf had snapped clean off. I have heavy books, but I rarely move them around and it's a low traffic unit. I knew buying the shelf that it wouldn't last forever, in fact I knew I probably wouldn't be able to move it after it was put together and installed. The materials are cheap, and when you construct the shelf it's obvious that you won't be taking it apart (unless it's to the dump). I'm disappointed, however, that it felt apart so quickly--it was a good size for the space. I'm writing a review here because the IKEA website doesn't seem to accept reviews unless you bought the item under your account--and I can't help but be suspicious of the numerous positive reviews regarding this product.

Collected Havsta cabinet today. Now assembled but very disappointed with paint finish. On the doors, at least 6 knots in the wood are visible through the white paint finish, a nasty mark is very obvious on one door which also has a vertical line running along its length. The top is also chipped. I know contact by telephone is affected by Covid constraints but I'm not even offered the chance to wait in a queue; not being able to complain immediately is very frustrating. This is my first, and very likely my last, IKEA order.

If you want a divorce, buy and install an IKEA wardrobe because the instructions are appalling, it’s like the Krypton Factor, follow diagrams no written information? MDF Plywood is easily breakable and as for the 1000 pieces are they really necessary? IKEA have the cheek to say it will cost you £150.00 to assemble - It took 10hrs to but a wardrobe together never again will I buy any of there flatpack furniture again!

Maglarp light: I’ve Installed light fixtures before. I even did a refresher course on YouTube before attempting to install the Maglarp pendant lamp. Things started out smoothly, then everything went downhill. The pictoral in the instructions showing how to hook the lamp made no sense. Was I really supposed to be able to hook the lamp onto the plate? I couldn’t tell but was unsuccessful. I eventually used cable ties to secure fixture to plate. As for the very top part that goes to the finish ceiling, the one minuscule set screw provided to secure the base into the cord up to the ceiling is inadequate. I screwed it as much as possible but it wasn’t enough to keep the base from sliding down the cord. All I could do was use duct tape and it’s not perfect. Should I try a longer set screw? Adjusting the chain was tricky too. I know your instructions are minimal and I guess I need more. The S hook provided was inadequate and kept flying off. I used a sturdier one I luckily had. I think I got it up, but it is rather inelegant looking and I’m not sure the whole thing is really safe and secure. Sorry to be a whiner but I was hoping the installation would be easy like some reviewers said. I tried to leave a review on your website but could not figure out where the prompt was to do so. Had I known the hassle I was in for I would not have chosen this lamp. What would be helpful is if you provided video installation instructions for almost all your products on your website. Maybe that sounds crazy but it would really help slow learners like me.

I am reviewing Ikea Draper UT only and the only reason I am giving giving them 2 stars is because of their wonderful employees. Otherwise it would be no stars if I could do that. All the employees were very good and I have no complaint with them. Apparently they have a robotic device that retrieves items from the warehouse instead of the customer getting it off the shelves. Draper is the only Ikea with this robot. If you choose an item that doesn't identify where you pick it up you have to wait in line to get an order number to take with you to check out. After you pay for it you wait in a line for the robot to retrieve it. Well we waited from 12:35 to 1:26! The robot was broken which we were told happens on a daily basis, making employees deal with us customers that can wait for long periods of time. This was after waiting in line to get in, then waiting in the checkout line for about 15-20 minutes. Both of those lines didn't bother me. This store was the testing ground for the robot, and from what was explained to me Ikea refuses to get rid of it and can't fix it because those who installed and should be maintaining it are now gone. The item I bought did not fit so I had to return it. Went to the returns desk, waited for about 5 minutes, was then told I had to go outside and wait in line to get a number. Went outside, waited about 15 minutes, when I got closer to the front of the line I heard the employees calling out names. What I never saw or knew was that you had to use a bar code or a text to get a number in order to process your return outside then bring a number inside to get a credit or your money back. A number of people did the same thing I did waiting in line without knowing about the bar code/text. Again the employees were very good, these ridiculous procedures are not their fault and they seem to handle upset customers very well. I guess they have lots of practice. I really like Ikea but this experience will make me question whether to shop there again and I will definitely not buy an item that uses the robot to retrieve it.

Too many customers. Too many customers not distancing or wearing masks. Not returning until masks are mandatory.

We purchased the pack of two shoe storage boxes. Whilst we like the product, packaging or material issues may need to be addressed. We ordered online delivery. Unfortunately the in first pack one of the doors was cracked as was the base box on the second unit. We phoned and ordered a replacement. Good customer service as a replacement was sent straight away and arrived within two days. Unfortunately when the second pack arrived, despite this time being sent in a cardboard box rather than just cellophane, the corner of one of the doors was broken to and even worse extent and broken pieces were in the box(see photos) We managed for salvage two complete units from the four units despite still a few hairline cracks, which hopefully don’t develop further. Unfortunately good quality customer service and a good product is not matched by the quality of the material used or the packaging process.

We used to Look forward To the 45 minute drive to IKEA because we knew that we could find exactly what we needed by exploring the design floor and then going downstairs and finding what we liked. That is..until..our last two visits to the Conshohocken, Pa store. All five items on multiple displays upstairs were sold out downstairs. 1. Remove items sold out from display OR mark tags as sold out! It is clear that payroll has been slashed and ordering curtailed, but all items sold go through the computer system and a simple sold out flag attached would alert customers of the sold out status. I heard customers all around me complaining of the very same thing! Come on IKEA, get with the customer Service you once had. We will no longer visit.

Product purchased was what we thought, relativley cheap but quite good quality for the price (2 settees). HOWEVER, the delivery process was a nightmare and caused loss of earnings with having to rearrange timeslots. Also, original delivery, product received was saoking wet due to be sat in water for some time so was declined on first delivery attempt
