The table legs have rusted in six months. IKEA refused to change it under warranty. It turns out that the warranty does not apply to this table. https://www.ikea.com/ae/en/p/torsby-table-chrome-plated-high-gloss-white-s39931845/

We bought the FRIHETEN Corner sofa-bed with storage from Ikea for Crossrail Cottage - our beautiful serviced apartment in West Ealing, and we are super happy with it. Our guests love how stylish it is. The blue gives our place real a pop of colour! It is also super comfortable, the perfect place to relax and sleep! And the storage is brilliant too. Our guests like to curl up and relax on it after a long day sightseeing in London! Great sofa! Thanks Ikea!

Placed an order for urgent delivery. Package is split into 2 delivery days, not ideal but okay. Second delivery date comes and the order doesn’t arrive. The Ikea website just says it’s “getting ready”. Ring next day and get loads of apologies and reorganisation for delivery. Delivery day comes and goes and again no delivery. Apparently there was a problem with the vehicle, hmmmm, but that doesn’t explain why I didn’t receive the day before notification that usually comes. Did they mean their vehicle broke down the day before or they are psychics who didn’t send the notification message the day before because they already knew the vehicle would have a problem?? Impressive. Ring again, get loads of empty apologies again. So now my order is apparently going to be delivered 10 days after it was placed - for urgent delivery. As for compensation, after taking 3 working days off as holiday, 2 botched deliveries, and hours spent on the phone I had the choice between receiving £10 back that I paid for urgent delivery OR £30 Ikea gift voucher. I pointed out that I should be refunded the £10 anyway as I had not received urgent delivery, which was agreed, but then I would not be offered any further compensation for my ordeal and my time wasted by ikea. Come on Ikea, If you are already offering me a £30 voucher do you really despise your customers that much that you can’t refund them £10 extra they paid for urgent delivery - that they didn’t get??? Doesn’t seem like very fair customer service to me.

They opened a case for me and said that it would be resolved in a week. Here we are two months later, and it is still not resolved. Their customer service told me to STOP contacting them for updates, as if there are any, they will contact me. So if there are none, I should just patiently keep waiting till I die.

Pics of an #IKEA BRAND NEW wardrobe, arrived today. I mean... seriously, #IKEA UK? Seriously?!? Left me speechless and considering today's quality of life, this world is heading for a fall indeed. Just to mention - in my parent's house in Poland there are still pieces of furniture that survived 2nd world war, looking way better than this. Happy New Year everyone💩💩💩🤮🤢🤢🤢

I meant minus one star rating! Horrible experience in IKEA Dublin. I saved for years to buy a nice wardrobe and it has been the worst decision ever to buy from IKEA. Issues with delivery, broken parts been delivered adding to the delay. Paid over €300 for assembly to get even a eorst costumer service and shabby work. A hole in my ceiling and the place was left like a pig sty after assembly . Several issues with sensory lights and wrong panel door. One month living with my clothes in boxes and half of a wardrobe assembled. Ikea, never again!!!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! I made a purchase last June at Wembley store worth almost £1500 to furnish my new home. Among some of the products were the STRANDMON Recliner chair. After the delivery stuff left my property, we realized that the floor was damaged, my new floor has holes in the chair area and in the corridor. One of the delivery stuff pushed the chair to leave it in the placed and as a consequence the floor was damaged. It came with not legs, but still I don't understand how ´this happened. I called Ikea straight away to complain and I sent them pictures. They apologized and asked me to complain myself to their delivery company, which refuses to do anything about it. I have spent a lot of time, money and effort furnishing my house. This situation is stressing me, we are planning to take them to court if they don't give us a solution. Absolutely terrible! They left us down

We came to Memphis from Little Rock to buy stuff two weeks ago. Some of our purchase was back ordered. When it came in, we came back to Memphis to pick up the shelves from our Pax order out at the distribution center. There is no sign anywhere on the building at the address IKEA gave us indicating it was an IKEA pick up center. We drove around for at least 20 minutes trying to find the place. We finally found it in a loading dock area and below is the only signage. We got here at 4:30 and there’s no one here. Door is locked. I called the resolution center and they were absolutely no help at all. Told us to call back Monday. We called the number on the hand written note on the door and the guy said they’re supposed to be open until 5 o’clock. He said he left early as he didn’t expect anyone to come today - yet he was supposed to be here until 5. He said he would come back to give us our shelves in 15-20 minutes. He did about 30 minutes later. But do you think he apologized. Nope. Sadly, I’m so frustrated with Ikea I’m not sure I will ever shop there again. Mario at the Memphis store is great. The rest of our experience has been horrible. How is it that such a large and popular international company can be run so poorly?

I have a guilty pleasure. After careful consideration, I decided to buy my bed frame from IKEA SA. I was excited as it took almost a month to decide on the design and hard-wearing. I bought it, assembled it, and was as happy as one non-Swedish person could be. Then it happened. Eight months in, the bed broke. Cracked down the middle. The beautiful bed frame that I so painstakingly chose and assembled had broken. And all I did was sit on it. I knew this was going to be a challenge. After communicating with customer service. They told me the product is not inclusive of the warranty policy !!??

VERY POOR customer service! I ordered some book cases / display cabinets. One of the shelves was (what looked like) water damaged, one of the glass / wood doors was warped and there was a ‘screw fitting’ missing. I phoned customer services who told me that to get a replacement shelf, they would have to send the whole unit out, then return what I didn’t use. I decided that it wasn’t really worth doing that, as books were hiding most of the damage anyway. The customer service assistant said she would send a new door and ‘screw fitting’. One week later, I had a delivery of TWO new doors but no screw fitting! I swapped one of the doors for the warped one, and contacted customer services again, this time on Twitter as I couldn’t get to speak to them on the phone. I asked them to collect the two doors I now had (one walked and one not damaged) and asked again for the missing screw fitting to be sent to me. Dominique said “I am sorry to say that due to the value of the items, we are not able to facilitate a collection for you in this instance, and we would have to ask that you dispose of these items”. I told Dominique that my car is too small to fit the doors in but that I was expecting another IKEA in a few days time, so could I just send the two doors back with them? She said “you'll not be able to hand the doors back to the driver. Unfortunately they are only able to take the items that are listed on their docket for insurance purposes.” I could not make Dominique understand the stupidity of the situation, so asked for my complaint to be escalated. She said “I am the social media team lead, and the highest point of escalation available to you in regards to this matter.” I still have the two doors and will NOT buy from IKEA ever again!

As a Swedish person it hurts me to put down my country's pride; IKEA but I have no other option than to inform others about the risk. I bought a new 20K kitchen plus a £3000 quartz worktop made by Sheridan. Sheridan makes worktops for IKEA, Wickes, Benchmarx and Magnet. Sheridan pretty much has a monopoly on luxury worktops. And I would have to pay a huge price for this, both financially and mentally. Sheridan delivered a worktop that was REPAIRED leaving their workshop- hoping I wouldn't notice it. They damaged the worktop further during installation but would blame me. Since I had paid for the worktop through IKEA, IKEA was legally responsible. IKEA promised to help me but failed again and again. In their defence, Sheridan didn't even reply to IKEA! But IKEA didn't follow up and left me hanging week after week. I lost count of how many phone calls and emails I sent. And some people at IKEA were lovely but they never found a solution, even after I myself suggested 3 different solutions. I had no working kitchen or a promise of a new worktop even after 2 months. And Sheridan didn't care- and why would they? They have monopoly! When I wanted to contact a manager at IKEA, the person at the IKEA worktop department refused to give it to me. I eventually contacted a solicitor who then contacted the CEO of IKEA UK. Then things started happening. The subcontractors to Sheridan came to fix the worktop, they fixed one damage but the other one was like mentioned earlier, a repair. Even Sheridan's own fitters were in shock at how Sheridan could send out a repaired worktop. IKEA's manager had assured me that all worktops were inspected before delivery, which was a lie and she didn't even apologise for it. In the end, I had a working kitchen. It wasn't so much living without a kitchen for two months that hurt, it was being ignored, and no one cared. I will never ever put my foot in an IKEA store again. And if you do buy a kitchen, make sure you buy things DIRECTLY from the supplier so when things go wrong, that company has to fix the issue. IKEA gave me £400 cash, and £200 vouchers (companies actually make money on giving out vouchers since it brings customers back in-store). Sheridan gave me £100 as a 'goodwill' which was even more insulting- they put me through hell and they got away with trying to deliver a REPAIRED worktop. There were more twists and turns in this story but it would be too detailed, again, it almost broke me mentally not being heard, respected or offered a solution- until a solicitor contacted the CEO It's disappointing that a customer in a civilised country like the UK could be treated like I was.

BUYER BEWARE! I always thought IKEA was a reputable company. I found out the hard way they are NOT! I ordered a dishwasher because it came with a 5 (!) year warranty. Unfortunately it arrived with some cosmetic damage to the door. I immediately called for replacement. The representative offered me a 30% “as is” discount to make it right. I even got it in writing. So I paid my plumber to install it. Three days later I got an email saying sorry no “as is” discount, you must have the unit uninstalled for us to pick up/we will deliver another but you must pay to install again yourself. Wait…what? If you don’t you get no discount and no warranty. Wait… what? Be extremely cautious dealing with this company! They lie and don’t honor their written resolutions. Now I have paid full price for a damaged dishwasher and paid a plumber to install it and I get NO discount and NO warranty. In order to get the warranty I have to pay a plumber to uninstall, wait for IKEA to pick it up, wait for a new dishwasher to be delivered, pay a plumber to install. OMG I just wanted the new dishwasher with the five year warranty! They delivered a damaged dishwasher, offered me a satisfactory resolution IN WRITING and 3 days later reneged! I am livid, have been on the phone, email for a week! I can NOT get to a manager..what a MESS!!! NEVER again—IKEA damages items, makes false promises and then dumps their mess in your lap, at your expense to fix. I do NOT recommend

What a horrible experience after collecting live plants from Click and Collect. First of all, they gave me garbage live plants! Plants have holes, broken stems, clearly, you couldn't use these plants at all! I can't return them because of the stupid IKEA policy. If you have that kind of policy that it can't be returned because it is live, that doesn't justify giving us crappy plants! The quality of the products and services is so disgraceful.

My order number is 1251559799. The worst experience ever. IKEA mess up my plans. What was supposed to be a smooth relocation from Glasgow to London turned into a nightmare because of your worst unorganized services. I made my order on 28/12/2021 and delivery is scheduled for 21/01/2022. Then rescheduled on 23/01/2022 and guess what again rescheduled on 25/01/2022 but this time with more surprises from IKEA, I even received a confirmation message about delivery time from 7:00 AM till 7:00 PM. And guess what I waited until 6:30 pm before I call IKEA customer service which is the worst service in the universe advising me to cancel my order which is almost 5300£ because all my items are out of stock. Which I did. Then again I was surprised because I discovered that all my items were available from click and collect. I am talking from the top of my lungs, I hate IKEA services because I had to live on the hill for 2 weeks with kids aged 9 and 8 years in an empty flat because of your stupid, bad and unorganized customer services. I hate IKEA

The representative tried to help but how do you pay $250 plus $149 shipping after taxes and fees $409 but only received cotton covered wood. No instructions and no chaise cover. I call its on back order we can get it to you after the new years. I call I lost count of how many times. We are going to get it to you and give you half of your shipping. Now I call back and they say nope no one has them in we are going to refund you $50.00 for chaise cover but what do I do with this cotton covered wood with no cover?

Another Negative Post on Ikea Singapore. Spent almost $7k on a small kitchen. From duty manager at Ikea Tampines, Benjamin, Harry & Xavier at Ikea Jurong. Raised complaint to Benjamin, no update, no response and call in to asked on 26th December 2021 between 3pm to 5pm but seems like talking to the AIR. He took notes but didn't revert to me. It has 4 days already. Don't even single call me to update anything? At Ikea Jurong, the worst customer experience I ever had. Harry & Xavier, Kitchen planner. Both of them never communicate. Has instructed Xavier on requirement but Xavier never shared with Harry at all on in December 2021. Harry careless, as a kitchen planner should remain all possible steps to your customer before the contractor dismantles the cabinet like disconnecting gas piping. He's failed to do so!! After dismantling the old cabinet, he didn't for seeing the new cabinet size whether can to fit in even though the contractor has taken the photo and reverted. Has talked to him (Xavier) to remain Harry to book installation for me but ended both of them never doing it. This step after I talked to the main contractor called Chee Siong and found out Xavier & Harry never followed up. I have to coordinate by myself. Till now the installer installs halfway and waiting for the measurement of the marble top. The Ikea installer (appointed agent) told me today, Harry & Xavier nor Benjamin was following up for me. It has been delayed more than 1 week. Overall, I would like to urge who's ever wants to change, build a new kitchen cabinet. Don't spend money on Ikea Singapore. They really don't know what is customer service, urgency, and ownership to serve their customers. You will regret it. They don't care about Brand Image, you can complain to them but they choose to ignore you. You try to call them (64272915) numerous times, no one picks up at all. These persons who are dealing with my matter, unprofessionalism and lack of skills to handle. Here, I wish my kitchen can be solved soon. It was a nightmare for me and my wife.

I purchased a cabinet from ikea Tampa store (An hour’s drive) It was a Regissor cabinet and I had to take the item number to a service desk to have an employee pull the boxes. The Employee pulled the wrong boxes I wish I had been allowed to pull them from the shelf myself. Instead I have had to call customer service number 10 times to try to get this corrected. I have been given 3 different cases numbers One marked resolved when nobody did anything. Then when I followed up I got missing hardware but no cabinet sides or shelves. The 2nd case number the customer service rep figured out the weight and dimensions of the box I was missing and sent a request to the Tampa store to have the missing box shipped to me. I received nothing. When I called to follow up they had no such case # on record.POOF. Case #3 the representative sent another request to the Tampa store giving the weight and dimensions of the box to be sent and said someone would contact me from the Tampa store and I also requested a call from a customer service manager. I received no follow up whatsoever. I called customer service today and was lied to and told that the box was on the way and even given a dhl tracking number that was generated “yesterday” When I plugged the number into the dhl site it was for the parts that were delivered back in November. I called again. The customer service rep couldn’t make sense of the notes that were written re my 11:30 a.m. call. Hmm was the person who told me my box was on the way on drugs ? Illiterate? Or just bsing everything. This company has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE HISTORY OF HUMAN COMMERCE!!! I was told by another customer service rep this evening that my case was moved forward After pressing for the exact meaning of “moved forward”, I was able to ascertain that an electronic communication was sent to the Tampa store requesting that the correct box be sent to me. After explaining to the rep that this had already been done several times to no avail he called the store manager and relayed to me that the resolution department at the Tampa store would call me tomorrow to get it resolved. Tomorrow being Saturday I’m not holding my breath.

This is my VERY FIRST & LAST time purchasing anything from IKEA. I purchased a glass cylinder vase from IKEA & it arrived to my home TOTALLY SHATTERED. How STUPID, LAZY & IRRESPONSIBLE is it to pack a GLASS VASE with absolutely no stickers, no stamp, no writing, NO NOTHING, to indicate the contents of the delivery box are FRAGILE, and to pack a GLASS VASE with only ONE PIECE OF SHRIBBLED UP BROWN PAPER & no protective material INSIDE the box whatsoever to protect the vase from damage while being handled & while in transit. I will definitely be requesting a refund & will never EVER purchase anything from IKEA again.

I bought a sofa from the Cardiff store this week, a really nice yellow landskrona. The actual sofa is amazing, and the people in store were so helpful that I’m a bit sad to have to put a 1* review. But on delivery, the sofa turned up completely ruined. They warn you beforehand that there may be a few nicks but I wasn’t expecting something that made the sofa look like it had come from a skip. I’d recommend the Cardiff store as they’re really great in there - just don’t use the awful third party delivery service they offer!!

Collected Havsta cabinet today. Now assembled but very disappointed with paint finish. On the doors, at least 6 knots in the wood are visible through the white paint finish, a nasty mark is very obvious on one door which also has a vertical line running along its length. The top is also chipped. I know contact by telephone is affected by Covid constraints but I'm not even offered the chance to wait in a queue; not being able to complain immediately is very frustrating. This is my first, and very likely my last, IKEA order.

Ordered a large tv unit and took 3 weeks to be delivered to a store near me but it was incomplete and services said they would deliver the parts(which would’ve come in another month). So drove to the store and gave them all the goods back they promised to refund which never happened till a week later when I opened a case with PayPal who got my refund the next day! Do not order online with Ikea as you’ll struggle to get your money back and may get incomplete packages!

Waited patiently for 2 1/2 months for a few shelves. Was not given any tracking information. Arrived unexpectedly and had to go to the post office to pick up the parcels. They were completely destroyed by the time they got to the post office outlet. They had been packed with NO padding and extremely poorly (just thrown in, heavy on top of breakable, too much extra space with no packing) so that the boxes broke down, the tape was ripping, and there were gaping holes all over the boxes. I am shocked there was no missing hardware! However, the metal rods meant to support two of the shelves were all snapped in half and thrown into one of the other boxes. Have not been able to get in touch with customer service as phone is busy, chat is busy, and e-mail communications are suspended. Extremely disappointed, especially as a past fan of Ikea store offerings. Will not be recommending and will be telling anyone who will listen about this horrible experience and complete lack of care! Ikea- you should be making this right!

We bought the plexyglass Tobias chairs. They look great - but 2 of them broke backwards when we were sitting straight, leaning with our backs against the back part. We are not overweight 180 and 130 pounds. Very dangerous. My husband hurt his hamstrings with a deep cut by falling backwards and slicing up his skin from the broken seat part of the chair. I tried to contact Ikea in April - it was not possible to send an email with our photo of the broken chair. I tried to call - they did not take any phone calls because of Corona. We drove to Sunrise Ikea in Florida in June - the line was standing outside in 105 F around the building. No, we did not return the two broken chairs and we did not get our money back. We just gave up. Very disappointing!
