Scam! Thieves! Don't care about their clients! Avoids hundreds of calls and emails! No response! Leaves you hanging! The manager David has completely ghosted me! He has wasted so much of my time trying to get a hold of him and writing emails, now he's going to waste more of my time to take ILK to small claims court. He recorded our phone call, as did I, and I have provided all the documentation & medical notes needed to break my 1 year contract that I paid for upfront without hesitation. I went to maybe 5 classes when suddenly I needed an emergency surgery and could no longer punch for 6-12 months. Every punch was slowly damaging me, and I didn't know it til I blacked out and cracked my face open. They will screw you over! Highly recommend finding a company that keeps their word and honors their contracts. Horrible communication. Horrible management. AVOID ILK!!!

Scam scam scam. They took $315 from me AFTER I left the gym. Now I gotta waste time going through my bank to get my money back. The owner called me and swore I'll get a refund after the $145 and $25 I was charger AFTER I left the gym. Then I only got refunded the $25 and i was ghosted. Then I went through my bank to get the $145 back, changed my card and everything. Then as retaliation they charged me again an additional $145 and $25 on my new card. Mind you its now months later and they manually signed me up for another membership. I haven't been their in months. DO NOT FORGET TO CALL YOUR BANK TO BLOCK THIS RETAILER. THAT WAS MY MISTAKE. So that's $315. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE. Also the reviews are fake. They force you too write 5 star reviews in order to win the 6 week challenge or any other challenges they have. (P.s. it took them over 4 months to refund me my $500 i won from the 6 week challenge. 4 MONTHS. And the only reason why i got it back was because i kept telling them otherwise I'd probably still would never have gotten it back 'till this day.) And of course they only tell you that at the last minute. If they had of told me that in the beginning I would have never signed up because that also would mean all the positive reviews I read before signing up weren't genuine. Which they aren't. They also force force you to write positive reviews on yelp and Facebook along with Google. Scammers. Funny thing is there is a negative review i read describing this exact scenario. P.s. I recorded the whole conversation with the owner telling me I was getting a refund. So he can't lie about that. Thank God for call recording apps.

There are only 2 wonderful instructors left, but not enough to fill the scheduled classes, manager will not respond to members, people show up for classes with no instructor present and the place shut down, he will just take your money and no interest on your success, I have been a member for about a year and it was great but he has run it in the ground, very sad, do not waste your money

This Company is Not active duty military or Covid friendly . Signed up then found out to do Covid restrictions phase 1 in Washington State that her command placed restrictions on her and she was not allowed to attend a single class . To this day she has never been to a single class and after many attempts to resolve they still demand payment for a service she can not receive

Terrible!! Very expensive and don’t teach proper form. You might as well join the gym and do the group classes. It’s basically the same thing. And you would only pay 30 bucks a month. My daughter got Covid from her class and the studio does not even care. Now if I want to cancel I need a doctors note for my daughters which is a violation HIPPA I will be calling the attorney general

Beware - this is a total scam. They were closed for months due to Covid restrictions but continued to charge our credit card. We called each month to get them to stop the charges but not only will they not refund the fraudulent charges, they won't stop charging without closing the accounts. They were not vigilant about cleaning before they were closed down and I would not consider it a safe place to work out now. If you join, you will be paying for nothing.

I was lied to by my local ILKB branch about payment options. I was told I would receive 3 free classes, but I was forced to sign up after the first class by shoving paperwork and payment options in my face with extreme pressure to sign up. Everyone I’ve spoken to said they were never able to complete their 3 day trial. She lied when I asked if there were more convenient and lower priced memberships, she said no. After digging through some reviews online I found that there were actually more options. They lied for their own financial gain. When I got injured in a car accident and was unable to participate, I called and told them in advance I would not be able to attend anymore and I will bring a doctors note to cancel when I am able to walk and drive comfortably. They continued to charge my account and claimed they had offered me a “freeze” (which they absolutely did not). So I was charged for 3 months I did not attend. I was also forced to disclose personal information in order to cancel my account. Upon coming into the branch to cancel, they tried sending me back to my doctors office to get a detailed note explaining my exact injuries. I believe that is a violation of HIPPA and I refused to do so. I told them verbally. This company is lying to consumers about prices and company policies. Not to mention they are ethically wrong for pressuring me to sign up and disclose personal medical information, but that’s a whole different issue. This particular branch recently changed their name to ATCK Fitness. I’m not sure if that affects anything. The “kickboxing” they “teach” is also less than satisfactory to say the least. None of these employees are professional, they look like high school kids. They do not teach correct kickboxing as advertised. They refuse to refund me. I’m Currently still seeking a refund for the months I did not attend due to injury, also for lying to me about the price options and terrible “kickboxing lessons”.

The classes were fun, but the support was not there. I went with a friend for the trial period and she had been a lot and knew the instructors so they were super helpful and I thought that it would always be like that. Not so much. After I purchased my 65 class package (which is not the one they want you to buy, but it was what I could afford), I went once a week for 3 months (All my schedule would allow). I may as well have been invisible. The instructors were chatting and helping everyone else, but very rarely came over to help/coach/encourage me. I'd go typically the same days - as my schedule allowed - but was not feeling like I was actually welcome. And then I found out they were never even entering in my classes. When I had reached out at one point to find out about a "challenge" they had (which would've cost an additional $250), it took 4 attempts and the manager contacting me on FB, stating she'll have someone call me, and I found they'd never documented I was there. (In retrospect I should have left it at the 65 classes, but I'm too honest and had them adjust to the correct number.) I always thought I'd go back, after all I spent over $700 on the classes, but I never got over the lack of support. I would see all the interaction in the FB groups, but I got the feeling of if you don't go 3-5 times a week, you're not worth the effort. Then I moved from VA Beach area (where there are 2 locations) to Maine - the nearest location is 3 hrs one way. I get that I signed a contract and paid in full for the classes, but after 2 years and the relocation I decided to ask about selling my classes - I had seen that fairly often on FB. So they told me the only way that would be possible is if I were there in person with the contract in hand to sign it over with the other person - and they don't keep a copy of the contract. Now, I must say, that rubs me the wrong way. If they don't keep the contract, how can they keep my money? And they actually would force me to travel 750 miles for a signature in person? That's insane. The VB area has tons of military, and I know that some had deployed/relocated and weren't forced to go in. It was a massive waste of money, I learned my lesson and I will forever have classes I can't use there, unless I'm travelling near a location, or if some (hopefully supportive) people open a location reasonably near by.

Fraud!! Signed up for classes in Dec. paid $500. Got an email 2 months later that my location filed for bankruptcy. Point is. You might pre pay and loose your money. Don’t do it. A few people I know personally got burned.

I would first like to say that I absolutely loved ilkb and All of the instructors and my FIT fam. However, one day we all got a message saying that due to unforeseen circumstances are gym was closed effective immediately. I think that that was absolutely awful. It even blindsided our instructors who all of a sudden water out of a job. People are not getting responses to their messages and emails asking about refunds for memberships that were just renewed. It's the most disappointing situation. All of us were a family that really enjoyed going to the gym everyday. To just have that ripped away with no warning was a terrible way to treat people who've been loyal to the company. I would never go to another ilkb in the future, because as I've read reviews it appears that this happens often enough that I never want to risk it again.

Bad experience! I signed up after staff told me I could bring my children when I took the class- a necessity for me, and there were other kids also there at the time.. BUT when I came to class with my child they told me no because their policy changed. Originally the manager apologized for the change and said I would be reimbursed but I have not been.. I was told to try to see if I can make classes without them but I can’t because of their limited schedules around having children - nor should I have to find a sitter when I was told they could come! I call them every week and either get no answer because they’re teaching class, or I am told the manager will call back which no one has! VERY frustrating considering I paid almost $400 for nothing!

I am a single mother, work and go to school at night there is no surprise that I am not able to go to the gym often. So when i go i like to build up a sweat. I enjoyed the first session where they worked with you one on one and explained to you the right position. After that initial class it is all on your own. If you get it great if not then try to keep up. It is very high paced and they do not explain to you the terms they use so you spend the class just looking at what others do. Then when it comes to trying to leave it is the worse. I didn't mind paying for two months due to the thought that I would have time to go but out of those two months i didn't even attend 5 classes which was the trial that I bought. When trying to cancel the owner acted direct and tried to sell me on another deal which I would obviously not be able to attend. They did not say anything and so i left it at that. Come to find out two months after that conversation I got a text saying that I owed for two months and if i wanted to cancel I had to pay around $197 plus the two months with a handwritten note. You should be ashamed of yourself. You pride yourself on customer service and that is the least i got. People pretty much pay for the "free" boxing gloves when trying to cancel. Complete waste of time and money should have read at the reviews before buying.

DO NOT pay into this scam. I purchased a package of classes in Kanata, Ontario for $899.48 and had used only one class when the studio closed. I have been communicating with iLovekickboxing since then and provided all required documentation on February 8th and they continue to make excuses for not refunding my money. The studio closed on January 31, 2019 and today is April 11th and I still haven't seen a penny. DO NOT join, this is a total money grab and scam.

ILoveKickboxingSpring is a waste of time. It’s all FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. My husband and I signed up for the six weeks free challenge which we both paid a deposit of $500. it was promised back to us if we lost 25 pounds or if Improvement was visible. All they really wanted was before and after pictures for promotion.I lost 23.1 pounds and 4% body fat. I was denied a full refund by RJ. RJ and I agreed before payment, that I would receive it in cash not towards a membership. So I saw now that This was his way To force me into a membership. I also referred my cousin to this place she signed up for the three classes and attended 1 only after she paid her money because RJ refused to allow her to sign up for the second class until she paid for a full months membership. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT..

I moved more than 25 miles away and they would not refund my money once I paid in full. The contract does NOT state they will keep my money it states I can give a 30 day ‘written notice via email’ In which I did. No one got back to me so I went into the club, there was a newer employee working and she wasn’t sure and was going to have someone call me back. NO ONE called me. 12 days later I finally get a response because I wrote an email stating I was going to write a review. This is POOR customer service. Not to mention keeping my money for services not renendered.

The owners of the business in fort mill, sc are the most inconsiderate money hungry people I've ever met. They act concerned about wanting you to be in shape but as soon as you start stuggling with the expensive monthly payments the snake within them shows. Instead of just allowing me to cancel my membership with the fee she kept telling me i had to pay or they would continue to run my card. She was so rude vs when they were rushing me for weeks just to become a member. They are complete hypocrites and I'll NEVER recommend ANYONE to sign up for that reason plus the terrible customer service i received. It happened to me it'll definitely happen to you.

I would’ve rated Ilkb 4 stars but to cancel with them is horrible. I canceled with Ilkb in Aug. I had to start working 2 jobs to take care of my bills so I never had the time to go to any classes. I decided to call in a week before my payment and tell them I can no longer continue paying monthly. They told me I need to give me 30 days notice so I still need to pay for Aug. The manager told me once I pay then I can email her to cancel. I paid my bill for Aug and emailed her. After a couple of days she then sent me another email address. I had to email the corporate office to tell them I want to cancel. Corporate had responded after a few days to tell me I would need to pay 195 and pay for the month of Sept. I advised them I paid 195 just to enroll and now I have to pay an additional 195 to cancel? I also told them when I signed the contract their employees never gave me that information. Corporate responded and said it’s on the contract I signed. They also said I need to give them 30 days noticed so I would be responsible for the month of Sept. I explained to them I contact Ilkb I told them I wanted to cancel. Corporate said they go based on when I emailed them. They are mainly after the money. When I tried to contact Ilkb they kept telling me they don’t know nothing about it and I would need to talk to corporate. Ilkb is nothing special. You are better going to a different place for kickboxing that is more affordable. They would never get another dime from me.
