About JENZA:

Who is JENZA? Can I trust them? And why don’t you ever answer our calls? (Mum??). So, (mostly) legit questions to ask before you book. JENZA is the travel love child of USIT and BUNAC – two originals of the work and travel world founded by students in 1959 and 1962. Yep, we’re old AF. But with that, comes a ton of wise old owl expertise and trust. Basically, these chaps may be so new they chafe – but it’s not our first rodeo. Working as one global team, JENZA has the backing of 65+ years of work abroad experience, but has been built for today’s travellers. Shaped by our Youth Advisory Panel and given the stamp of approval by our roadtesters, it’s all in our logo: You Shaped Travel.

“We really liked that we talked about sensitive topics such as homesickness and culture shock, because it affects us all. Moreover, the videos about the Maori culture and the other examples that we were shown were very helpful to imagine and immerse yourself in these traditions. Devonport is a great location and the restaurant was good too. The one on one was a good conclusion to the orientation as it gives the possibility to ask some more personal questions that you wouldn't talk about in front of the whole group.”

“All the information you get during the workshops is so so helpful and made me feel far more comfortable and excited about the months ahead! Everything was covered and Shontelle is a great host who is an expert when it comes to what to do in NZ or how to get by, what to be aware of, etc. She is so knowledgeable and super super nice, and told us numerous times to just give her a call whenever we encounter some problems during our time here. Its so comforting to know that help is available at any time, even though I feel very prepared after the workshops!”

“Kia Ora, I am absolutely suprised at how great they both did. With their personalities they gave me the feeling that everything would be fine. They took away the fear I had in the beginning. Helpful information and a good guide for the start in New Zealand. The places they shown us, were absolutly stunning. Thank you so much for your help!”

“Shontelle is a very sweet lady. Shes very helpful and eager to help us having a good time in NewZealand. It was helpful for us because that way we had some orientation and were not that lost. Devenport is a pretty nice place and that trip is good to meet and get to know other people. Again Shontelle is very nice and you can ask her anything.”

“So thankful to Jenza for a smooth experience. It was so nice to have the visa application handled for me. As a solo traveler, to have Jenza arrange my transfer from the airport and my first few nights accommodation took so much pressure off. Louise and Shontelle ran two brilliant work shops to go through everything from tax number and accommodation to water safety. Being in a group of other people all doing the same visa was great to get other peoples perspectives and ideas, and to feel less lonely after all the travel to get to Auckland. Louise and Shontelle was so friendly and approachable, I would recommend Jenza to all.”

“They were very well prepared and told us a lot of tips that were very helpful, especially when it comes to safety tips which I would not have known otherwise. It is very helpful in the beginning when everything is quite overwhelming and confusing to have some support to help you choose how you are going to start your adventure. Additionally, it is easier to meet new people that are just as planless as you.”

“We loved the amount of information, we now are well prepared for our Work and Travel in NZ. Chontelle and Louise are so sweet, nice and helpful. WE liked spending some time with other Backpackers and the dinner at the Patriot was a perfect get together. WE also appreciated the private session because it was quite helpful. “The experience with JENZA was very good. I felt super safe, the orientation gave a lot of confidence, and the hostel was very nice and clean aswell. The kitchen devices are quite used making cooking an adventure and the included breakfast could use a little more enthusiasm of the hostel staff.”

“So far I had a good experience with JENZA. Everybody is so nice and helpful, that makes the customer feel a lot safer on the journey. They try to answer any questions you have as soon as possible. You can say, they were very helpful, especially the orientation days helped me get used to the new environment and helping me feel less lost in my journey.”
