About JENZA:

Who is JENZA? Can I trust them? And why don’t you ever answer our calls? (Mum??). So, (mostly) legit questions to ask before you book. JENZA is the travel love child of USIT and BUNAC – two originals of the work and travel world founded by students in 1959 and 1962. Yep, we’re old AF. But with that, comes a ton of wise old owl expertise and trust. Basically, these chaps may be so new they chafe – but it’s not our first rodeo. Working as one global team, JENZA has the backing of 65+ years of work abroad experience, but has been built for today’s travellers. Shaped by our Youth Advisory Panel and given the stamp of approval by our roadtesters, it’s all in our logo: You Shaped Travel.

“Just great, giving you an easy start without having to worry about setting up a bank account and getting to know people. Shontelle and Louise were super friendly and helpful in all regards and organized cool tours.”

“They were very well prepared and told us a lot of tips that were very helpful, especially when it comes to safety tips which I would not have known otherwise. It is very helpful in the beginning when everything is quite overwhelming and confusing to have some support to help you choose how you are going to start your adventure. Additionally, it is easier to meet new people that are just as planless as you.”

“We loved the amount of information, we now are well prepared for our Work and Travel in NZ. Chontelle and Louise are so sweet, nice and helpful. WE liked spending some time with other Backpackers and the dinner at the Patriot was a perfect get together. WE also appreciated the private session because it was quite helpful. “The experience with JENZA was very good. I felt super safe, the orientation gave a lot of confidence, and the hostel was very nice and clean aswell. The kitchen devices are quite used making cooking an adventure and the included breakfast could use a little more enthusiasm of the hostel staff.”

“So far I had a good experience with JENZA. Everybody is so nice and helpful, that makes the customer feel a lot safer on the journey. They try to answer any questions you have as soon as possible. You can say, they were very helpful, especially the orientation days helped me get used to the new environment and helping me feel less lost in my journey.”

“I am really happy to be traveling with JENZA. The customer service is great, both Shontelle and Louis do a great job here in New Zealand. You can always call them, even at night. They explained everything to us and I think I am well prepared for my Work and Travel year. The price is ok but you get a lot of things like a shuttle to the hostel, 4 nights in a clean and good hostel, some socializing events which are pretty cool. I'll let you know when I have more experience but for now I'm really happy with the organization and would always recommend traveling with them.”

“Ive booked a work and travel trip through jenza and so far everything went really well and ive had no problems whatsoever. Im really thankful for the help and advice they offer which is extremely helpful especially in the beginning. Id definitely recommend jenza for everyone whos doing their first solo trip and is a little bit unsure about some things or would like a helping hand for the first few days.”

“I discovered Jenza through a family friend, that's done something similar to what I'm doing now. When I started organizing my trip there was always some sort of help or guide that could help you with planning everything. When we arrived, everyone was very helpful and understanding. It's a very friendly environment and you'll feel very welcomed. I had a great time.”

“Took a program in Auckland, New Zealand and they were very nice and super helpful. They took their time to answer every question anyone may have and also offer us constant help while traveling if something happens. I think it made everyone have a better feeling about traveling alone far away from home.”

“JENZA really gave me assurance about my travel journey, we can always text them and get information or text them when we are in trouble, you're never alone. There was also some information about unsafe situations and where we have to be cautious. The Hostel is very nice, and you meet many people through the activities. They not directly help with SIM cards and jobs, we just got a few information and internet links where to get them, but it was fine with me. Thank you for helping me getting started.”

“At first I was a bit unsure about why I had spent the money for this, but it is well worth it! I was really nervous about getting here and not knowing anyone here or anything about NZ, but the team has helped me to feel confident to get out there and see the country, and I've met loads of people already through the orientation and the socializing they set up, and I know I have contacts here for my whole time here. I was skeptical at first but it is well worth it!”
