“I am happy with the condition of the plants I ordered so far but was extremely disappointed in the excess unnecessary plastic wrapping . I would have expected a more earth friendly solution to transporting your plants from a garden centre. This would make me reconsider ordering from you again.”

HI Ross, The only plastic we normally use is to cover the wet soil on the plants, to prevent the moisture destroying the boxes of our plants and also any other deliveries the courier may have in their van. Couriers will not accept wet items that will damage other packages. The only way around this from an environmental point of view is to call and collect your plants.

“While the plants where in good health,the wait for them is very long,waited over two weeks from ordering, any other online plants I order are delivered within 4 days,I had forgotten how slow your service is.”

Hi David, we take great care in packing our plants for safe travel, and this cannot be rushed. You received your plants within 2 weeks of ordering on a busy bank holiday weekend when several hundred other people also ordered , staff need a day off and delivery days are fewer. As the plants will be in your garden for many, many years, we would rather do it right than try and rush pack your order in 4 days

“My experience was mixed to be honest. I rang 10 days after I ordered as I wanted to see would I have the trees before the wkend so that I could get them planted. First time I rang I was met by a guy who was less than helpful saying that I would have them in 14days. he did not bother to check my order just in 14 days I would have them. I was annoyed by his response considering I was spending nearly 200euros on the order. So I rang the next day to see could I get any more info & was met by much more helpful people who checked my order & told me it was going out that day & I would have it the next day. He also put my on to another member of staff who was really helpful with regard to planting & caring for the trees. The delivery came the next day but to my disgust I could see that the larger tree - acer sango kaku - had been shoved in to the van as apparently the other van (larger one) was broken. The tree was a little damaged at the top & the bamboo shoot had broken at top too.”
