“Whilst the plants were fine I was not happy that I had to collect them from my post office sorting office. You said that your courier would try to deliver for 3 days. Not so, An Post tried once and left a card telling us to collect. I will not be ordering from you in future if that is going to be the norm. Regards John Blood”

“I recently purchased 10 hedging plant. Delivery was very quick and over all I was pleased until yesterday when I got the same hedge for the same price but better quality and more mature.”

“While the plants where in good health,the wait for them is very long,waited over two weeks from ordering, any other online plants I order are delivered within 4 days,I had forgotten how slow your service is.”

Hi David, we take great care in packing our plants for safe travel, and this cannot be rushed. You received your plants within 2 weeks of ordering on a busy bank holiday weekend when several hundred other people also ordered , staff need a day off and delivery days are fewer. As the plants will be in your garden for many, many years, we would rather do it right than try and rush pack your order in 4 days

“My experience was mixed to be honest. I rang 10 days after I ordered as I wanted to see would I have the trees before the wkend so that I could get them planted. First time I rang I was met by a guy who was less than helpful saying that I would have them in 14days. he did not bother to check my order just in 14 days I would have them. I was annoyed by his response considering I was spending nearly 200euros on the order. So I rang the next day to see could I get any more info & was met by much more helpful people who checked my order & told me it was going out that day & I would have it the next day. He also put my on to another member of staff who was really helpful with regard to planting & caring for the trees. The delivery came the next day but to my disgust I could see that the larger tree - acer sango kaku - had been shoved in to the van as apparently the other van (larger one) was broken. The tree was a little damaged at the top & the bamboo shoot had broken at top too.”

“I wrote a review last time I shopped at the Centre and I was exceptionally pleased and gave you 5 stars. Although fairly satisfied this time I was disappointed at the very small size of the Geranium Rozanne I received. I realize of course that the plants couldn’t be in growth yet but the size was disappointing.”

“Recently bought elephant garlic, delivery very quick but didn’t realise it was for 2 “cloves” of garlic, thought it was for 2 full bulbs so bit disappointed as I think it’s a bit expensive and had priced 3 full bulbs in another shop for same price but they were out of stock.”

“Hello I ordered 4 Valarian plants They were delivered well packed in a very tidy box by An Post They were delivered on the day I asked. I had expected them to be red but the label says they will be white. Red would have been best. red and white would have been second best. One of the plants is in bad condition and looks to be beyond resuscitation”

“As a regular customer I was a little disappointed with the plants that i received, they arrived much smaller than the images on the website and the descriptions were not very clear as to how small they would be. The plants & trees were not of the quality and standard that I expected from Johnstown Garden Centre”

“Even though you had clearly marked box must lie flat the driver left it standing up so a few plants were damaged”

“Tree despatched but took almost a week to be delivered inspite of the couriers tracking stating that it was delivered and signed for. When the tree arrived it was dried out having been without water since being despatched. The service from Johnstown Garden Center was regrettably affected by the poor service and lack of care by the couriers.”

“Very pleased with the ease of ordering and efficiency however the plant was very wet and dishevelled upon arrival and had obviously not travelled well. It has recovered slightly so overall I'm happy enough but the packaging and or shipping method needs to be looked at as it did not protect the plant sufficiently and alot of the soil had come out of the pot.”

“The plants were fine; but it took quite a while to fill the order; The courier you used broke the top of the Stake in the plant pots " putting them in his van".. Luckily the plants appeared unharmed!”

“Everything about your website is well presented from plants and equipment to information on planting and maintenance of same. I am not so happy with your dispatch service as I am still waiting on my stake and ties which was added to my first order.”
