“I have been going to Kozy's in River North for years for my mechanical needs. I brought my girlfriend to the shop and she purchased a road bike in 2019, and I have always had a good experience. I recently purchased a new Cannondale Road bike a couple of weeks ago. The bike was on sale at a significant discount from $6500-$5200. I had not intended to spend that much, my original target was a bike around $4200, but I did extend myself and make this purchase as I think it was a great bike at a really good price. Luis was super helpful, he let me test ride the bike I purchased, and the shop had the next model down bike delivered from another location so I could do a test ride comparison. I tried to negotiate a small discount on the bike fitting and or the extended maintenance plan at the end but they would not budge on either. If you buy the extended maintenance place (which I did for another $200), you get 25% off the cost of the bike fitting (which is another $250) so their rational was I was already getting a discount. Also, there was also a noticeable scratch on the handlebar of the bike that I called to their attention. This is not the end of the world, but when you buy a $6,000 bike you want it to be flawless. If the shop had worked with me and gave me a small break as a gesture on the bike fitting, and or the extended maintenance plan, this would be a five start review, and you would have me as a customer for life. I am not saying this was a bad experience that would prevent me from coming back, and I understand this is a business. I am in sales myself however after spending $6,000 all in with tax, I feel like the shop could have worked with me in some small way as a gesture of appreciation. I am shelling out almost another $500 to get this maintenance plan and fitting. From my experience in sales, I try to take care of good customers and work with them within reason and know that I will have customers for life.”

I bought a bike Ruby sport last year 44, I remember I got a club members .I call yesterday to asks about tune up and the guy said if I bring my in few days I get back my bike until 16 of August . Is more the 15 days . How can training ? Why don’t take my name and give me a schedule for bring my bike and take just one day to tune up . Or if they have space call me and I can bring my bike to the early . But not take my bike for so long . Very disappointed.”

“I purchased a Yakimah handcuff to go with my Ridgeback rack. One of the employees helped me find the lock. The box had been opened before and perhaps returned because even the plastic bag inside had been ripped open. We checked and it appeared that all the pieces were there. The night I bought it the cash register computer was down perhaps for physical inventory that I believe was going on. Luis had the other employee look up the price online. Luis was calculating tax and everything on his phone when I realized he was under-charging me, so I corrected him. When I got home and tried to install the new lock core on my Ridgeback I found out that the core was missing a piece that keeps in installed. I worked with Yakimah directly and got a new core shipped to my house the next week.”
