“This was the second time I ordered from The Lakeside Collection. The first time was in beginning of November for a Christmas gift. I didn't receive it until late January.
Second time I ordered and was told I would receive my order on April 16th., again nothing and now told I will receive it on the 22nd. Never again.”
“I ordered plants. I received them very disappointed. Three were very very small, the other plants I ordered were dead. Called customer service was told Lakeside expected plants to arrive dead and it was my responsibility to bring them back to life. What the hell.”

Had I known, I never would have ordered anything. Unfortunately, I placed an order. Two weeks later, I had heard nothing from them, so, I called. I spend the entire morning being shifted around the globe. Finally spoke to someone supposedly in the U.S., they hung up on me. I called back and selected place an order, then spoke to someone in sales who claims to have canceled the order. But there is no confirmation of that, yet.
Not happy. Not happy at all. Do not order anything from these people. It is not a real company, it is shell company brokering for other scheisters.”

“Watch out buying from this company. Make sure after you purchase your items they don’t automatically sign you up for a subscription and take money from you every month. The only reason I found out was I they my PayPal. If I sign up for a subscription a person would think you would get something in the mail or internet I never received nothing they just stole money out my account for months. Then when I tried calling they blamed it on my wife and she has her own account with them and her own banking. So they think that’s a reasonable answer and people will just except that. Well not me we don’t bank together and we don’t even have the same PayPal. They will steal from you and not even care about it.”

“Wow! Wish I had read these reviews before doing any business with this company. Some of the stories make my gripe seem pretty small. Bit I will relay it anyway. I have ordered from this place in the past and, although I had some annoying "back-ordered" issues, on the whole I was OK with them. For a while now, I've been getting bombed with email promotions - 2 or 3 times a day! My inbox was getting deluged! I did not relegate them to my spam folder because I did not mind getting an occasional email from Lakeside. So I emailed the company and asked that they simply limit the amount of emails sent to me. I got an immediate email response - well written and polite (I have no complaints with the attitude or demeanor of the author of their reply email, other than I was not satisfied) - saying they could not honor my request because all the emails were automatically generated by a "system" Well, I'm no tech guru, but I do believe a simple tweek on a keyboard could have accommodated my request. Instead I was told to unsubscribe! So they would rather lose business altogether than to please a customer. Instead, I told them to remove me altogether from their mailing lists - no catalogs, no emails, no nothing! And after reading some of these reviews, I'm really glad to be done with this company. Terrible business attitude - but they must figure there are enough vulnerable suckers out there to keep buying, even with this terrible review rating.”
“I ordered 2 couch covers for my cabin. Because of heavy snow this winter I was not able to try them on until the melt. They were too big. I was not allowed to return them because it was more than 30 days. I am a frequent customer but not any more. My lake cabin does have lots of their products though. I'm very disappointed.”
“I placed an order for 2 couch covers for my cabin. Because of snow I cannot get to the cabin until the melt and so it was past 30 days before I could try them on for size. They were too big. I tried to return them but because it was past 30 days they wouldn't take them. I order a lot from Lakeside for my lake cabin but not any more. I have 2 couch covers still in the packages because I can't use them. So disappointing and a waste of $50.”
“I bought some Men's Cargo pants in a variety of colors & then I check those pockets & 3 different pairs of pockets were not sewn up & that not cool at all & I also bought some 8pr. slippers soft socks I wash them 2 times & they have a big hole in all of them & so I take it there quality of the merchandise is total junk & since I don't bother with them & ask them to remove me & I still receive the information on a hourly & daily basic & enough is enough just leave me alone find anther SUCKER 4 real”
“You get what you pay for. This magazine sells stuff that is cheap. Don't expect too much. Bought a slim cabinet to put stuff and toilet paper into in bathroom. I believe it is made out of styrofoam. LOL! I put it together in about 10 min. NO screw gun needed. I don't think it will last, it is so light when you try to pull toilet paper out it tips over. But it may work if I put something heavy. Very funny. I knew it couldnt be that nice because it was so cheap. I just hope those who can't afford better quaility stuff and are expecting something nicer won't be dissapointed.”

“Have ordered from Lakeside for over 2 years now and never have had any problems with orders or being charged for something I didn't order. I have had their credit card for 1 year and prior to that used a debit card. I have found the merchandise to be comparable to Walmart quality and found items not available anywhere else.”
“I liked the products this co sent just fine. I paid on my balmy twice. Both times even this I had proof with bank statements and they confirmed my money was shown paid to their co via phone and gave me confermation. Umber at last payments. Yet they are now acting like it never got paid but are acknowledging the fact I did make two payments yet the balance hasn’t went down one cent just same valse as before I made payments. I called CS asked why? Can’t get an English speaking person with no noise in back ground. Little alone some truth when I asked where do I email proof of payments to head Corp he just repeated saying I owe more money. I know this is bunk but at this point. I’m wondering if their not commuting fraud and audit needs to be done to this co. If their acting like my first two payments didn’t go through and over half the bill one one payment. “I ordered something in November and recieved it in December. I started getting collection notices saying I did not pay my bill. I have called 7 times and given three different cards and each time they have reassured me it's taken care of each time. Long behold today get anothet collection notices. No notes to go off of over there, what are you guys doing over there? I've been given reference numbers to confirm the payment was successful but here we are again. Worse company I have ever dealt with. Additionally even when I try to make a payment online, it says I've nevered ordered from here...clearly I have based on the collection notices. I am mailing in my payment today, let's see if you screw that up too.”
