Hi,
The refund was as a gesture of goodwill for the delay in the postal service. Unfortunately, this is out of our control where we experience delays with Royal Mail. It's likely that your paper copies will arrive from Royal Mail.
The digital versions of the deeds were sent to you via email on 2025-08-12 08:26:05 (Under 2 hours from you placing your order with us). Please email us on info@landregistryuk.co.uk if you need us to resend the email to you.
“Absolute rubbish jargon used, most people will not understand the the technical terms used, will be confused by the jargon and will pay money for a service or documents they did not want. Then pay again and again to get the documents that they require. Please sort out the the wording of what you are providing. It is not hard to put civil lawyer jargon into simple, understandable words, it it? Many people loose out because of the language you use in your service. The rich understand, the uneducated miss out.
Please sort it out. You say you are not a government body. Who do I complain about your organisation?”
“I tried to contact Land Registry without success and have emailed to request a refund as it was titles deeds and map as registered on Sassine Register. No reply so very disappointed.”
“I urgently needed official copies of my title because I was concerned that scammers might be misusing my address in some way. I was therefore anxious and applied for official copies online, as fast as possible, even though this was very expensive.
The official copies arrived very promptly, but almost immediately afterwards a further email came headed 'Alert ! New Documents Found For Your Search'. This suggested that something had been found which I needed to know about urgently which had not been included in the information provided a few minutes before. Because the heading of the email.had alarmed me when I was already in an anxious state, I went straight on to purchase the 'Conveyancing Pack' for a further £44.95.
When that arrived, it only contained a copy of a 1983 conveyance, which is clearly not a 'New Document'. The heading of the email.was therefore factually misleading and the use of the word 'Alert' is clearly intended to spook.people into making further purchases.
Whilst I have received responses to my emails of complaint they have not been helpful and I haven't been advised how to escalate the matter, which I had also asked for.
People are anxious about the title to their property. The Land Registry is a public body which should not try to capitalise on that vulnerability by pressurising them into making further purchases, probably unnecessarily.
I have requested a refund and the Land Registry's assurance that it will change the misleading heading of its automated email,. My next step will be to post reviews online and to approach the Advertising Standards Authority. I havebeen left feeling scammed, and I don't want others to fall into the same trap.”
“Although the response was quick, the plans were not true plans to my property, only the suggested boundary. Doesn’t even show neighbours land.
Don’t use this service if you are having issues with boundary fences as does not show the information.
To be honest, the £60 I paid was a waste of money.”

“The wrong deeds were emailed over to me. I also paid for a printed hard copy version of what I thought would be the original deeds. The printed deeds that are posted out are just copies of the PDF files that get sent by email so not worth the cost.”
