About Le Chameau:

Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Très belles chaussures, mais trop petites. Le guide des tailles est incomplet, il faudrait ajouter la longueur du pied correspondant à la pointure. Je dois commander la pointure au dessus, après avoir effectuer un retour.”

“The first pair of these boots were an extravagant gift. Thirteen years later, when they finally wore out and I replaced them, I had revised my opinion from extravagant to essential. Of course, they are my barn boots, especially appreciated the deeper the mud and the longer the hours. They have also become my year-round hiking boots! Some of the rough country through which I hike is just game trails through forests and meadows and WEEDS. As hot as it gets where I live, the protection and comfort of jeans tucked into these boots are priceless. No scratches. No seeds and burrs to pick out of my socks. It must be the leather lining that enables them to stay cool and comfortable for miles. The thick rubber soles are cushioned and supportive and the tread is dependable. I love these boots.”
