About Le Chameau:

Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“I love this boot. However after wearing them for several hours, my feet are super sore. I have ordered a arch support insoles from Amazon. Hopefully I am able to get things worked out. For the amount of money spent, I would have thought Le Chameau had some insole options which I couldn't find”

I am sorry to hear you haven't found the boots to be immediately comfortable, using insoles to offer ach support often makes a difference for customers who need the support in their footbed. “Commande livrée en temps. Pour 300€, je regrette que le cuir ne soit pas de la pleine fleur avec un tannage végétal ! Je suis déçue du rapport qualité / prix ! Je ne recommanderais pas Le Chameau.”

“The boot looks amazing in real life and they are vary comfortable, only problem they came a bit dirty which is not ideal but they are easy to clean”

“Just received mine. I had great expectations of these wellies, but am a bit disappointed as they are so narrow. Even with the gusset I think I'll struggle to get jeans, thick welly socks and waterproof trousers into them.”

“Die Größe 39 fiel etwas klein aus. Wobei es beim rechten Fuß noch ging, aber der linke Stiefel war definitiv zu klein. Normalerweise passt mir eine Größe 39 gut. Beim Umtausch zeigte sich Le Chameau unkompliziert und kulant mir gegenüber.”

“Pied droit serré en bout (petit pour un 42), pied gauche trop lâche en largeur. Liseré sur le devant de la botte mal collé. Loin de la qualité que j'ai pu connaitre par le passé. Déçu”

“Ordering and receiving the boots was fine. The problem was returning them (wrong size). Having entered all the information for my chosen return method, I got an email with a QR code etc - but no address of a shop to which I could return them! And when I asked, you gave me a list of shops that do not accept returns on behalf of Relais Colis. Not impressed.”

“top material is a bit stiff. low cut on the sites. Not comfy as such. Im not convinced. Return was smooth. Got Timberlands in the end.”

“I have purchased the older product in the past. It has become my go to boot for hunting. The new boot lets me down because it does not have a side zipper to access the boot without having to Pull like crazy to get your foot in. The new boot has a side strap that doesn't do anything to help with access. They have these small side straps to aid in getting the boot on. the staps do not look sturdy enough to last very long. I am disappointed.”
