Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

Tengo unas botas Le Chameau desde hace unos 20 años, con forro de tela, suela de vibram y cierre ajustable. Son fenomenales, puedo caminar hasta 20 km con ellas por terrenos montañosos sin fatiga en los pies. Y siguen siendo impermeables. Pero las suelas ya están muy gastadas. Así que compré unas lo más parecidas posibles, el modelo Vierzon jersey lined, aunque la suela ya no era Vibram. Al probarlas me resultaron incómodas porque hacían un pliegue en la zona del empeine. Al sujetarlas en la mano vi que la caña se doblaba y caía de forma que no se sostenía vertical. En cambio las que tengo se sostienen incluso moviéndolas. Por ese motivo las devolví. Si hubiese a la venta unas iguales a las que tengo las compraría sin dudar.

Compared to the original Mouflon Plus, the 12" Lite boots are very inferior. I've had two pairs now, and in both cases the cushioning layer immediately above the sole just starts disintegrating seemingly for no reason, rendering them pretty useless as the sole starts detaching. The original pair of Mouflon Plus I had lasted for many years, but these lighter ones are more than disappointing!!!

Sadly we are unable to offer a resolution under warranty for your boots as they are from 2020 they are sadly too far out of your 2 year warranty period to cover. Love the boots but not sure that I love the company. I purchased my first pair of lined boots for $150 in January 2024, and when I looked in December of January 2024, thinking that I’d purchase a pair of boots for my son, the price had doubled to $300. Inflation can’t be the reason. I read that the company closed is factory in France to focus its operations elsewhere, perhaps where labor is cheaper. So, lower labor costs but double the cost to the customer. Please explain.

Bought the prestige chasseur leather lined boots in september 2020. Did not use them in the rough, worn them about , say, 20 days a year , took good care of them. four years later, a crack appears around the heel, not waterproof anymore. Bad quality for such a price, my last pair of wellies from the other leading french brand lasted more than 15 years.....

Very disappointing experience. I purchased boots that turned out to be too large, but the sizing issue was only clear after a minimal test outside. Customer service refused a return or replacement, claiming the boots were “worn” due to light scratches on the soles. If such minor use can scratch the soles, it seriously raises questions about the product’s quality. Their rigid and unhelpful response shows a lack of care for genuine customer concerns.

I’ve been a customer of yours for 30yrs and have over the years purchased about 6 pairs of ladies size 38 vierznord with the neoprene lining. Historically these boots were the absolute best, they had a full cushioned thick sole and I wear them r dry single day and all through the shooting season, I’ve done all the countryside marches in them too! Wonderful … AND THEN … you’ve sold your sole … they’re not made in France anymore with the original quality and WORSE of all, you started putting this horrendous rubber ‘anti slip’ (which is terrible) in the heel inside where usually it was neoprene lined throughout. You NEED your heel to move with your foot these awful things completely eat and ruin every single pair of socks leaving massive holes, then resulting in horrendous blisters. I’ve tried everything to compensate for this terrible ‘design fault’ and have spoken to many original old school Chameau owners who now but Aigle instead. Please STOP putting this awful rubber inside the heel it is terrible, go back to having the neoprene completely throughout the boot! Trouble is, all your original customers who’ve worn and purchased le Chameau from the 90’s won’t be your customers anymore.

I am really sorry to hear how disappointed you are with your Neoprene Lined Boots, this isn't how we want our customers to feel when purchasing our boots and so we really appreciate your feedback. This rubber heel cup is important in helping improve the lifespan of Wellingtons, this heel finish helps prevent premature wear to the neoprene which can cause discomfort when it has worn away. We do hear of customer's having success in alleviating any issues they may have with the heel cup by changing their socks, applying a thin layer of our cleaning spray or by using a heel insert. Updating my review from two plus months ago. Laura responded to get in touch with her and she would help me. I did reach out where she told me to by e mail and left my contact information. In over eight weeks I have heard nothing. Cricket’s It seems talk is cheap at Le Chameau in dealing with their mistakes.

Ordered boots and they put the wrong sized boot In a box with the correct size marked on the side. Called and they have no one on the live lines emailed and asked if I could exchange and they responded with “did you try the on?” After asking if I could do an exchange AGAIN they said they only do returns and want me to reorder. Why would I reorder when you didn’t send the correct size the first time. If I’m paying 200 for boots I expect to get the item I order or at least for the company to fix their mistake. Literal waste of my time, not ordering from this company again.

Customer service takes so long it ends up being out of warranty period before they get around to dealing with you and then they claim that they can’t help as outside of warranty. Boots split after 18months on sole and started leaking, no help no support. £200 boots should last longer than 18 months, not good enough.

Was given a pair of Iris boots for Christmas 2023 and am a size 8 shoe. The opening into the boot was so small I couldn't get my foot into them. My daughter, who wears a size 3, could get her foot in comfortably so left me no option but to return them. However, customer service was brilliant and offered a full refund even though out of the normal period.

Mon expérience client est désastreuse. J'ai essayé les chaussures et après quelques mètres les coutures du dain ont cassé à deux endroits d'une des chaussures : au niveau de la "dentelle" en daim beaucoup trop fine. Je n'ai pas renvoyé le produit car il n'y avait pas d'étiquette préafranchie et le colis était trois fois plus volumineux que la boite à chaussures... Je vais essayer de faire réparer la chaussure chez un cordonnier. Les manques de qualité de fabrication et de responsabilité écologique expliquent la note minimale.

One of the worse costumer services I had to deal with. I exchanged a few emails trying to understand the sizes that would fit me better. Then I called and wasn’t able to talk to anyone. A person called me later, but hung up on me when I was trying to explain my case. Very frustrating experience :(

Bonjour, j'ai été tres décu par cette paire de chaussure. En effet, cette taille 44 doit avoir un gros défaut. Elle est trop petite pour un 44. Il doit y avoir une erreur de fabrication. Si je la mets, j'ai tres vite mal aux pieds et particulièrement au pied gauche. Ce qui ne m'était jamais arrivé avec un 44. Que puis-je faire maintenant ? Cordialement Arnaud de Louvencourt, France

In December 2018 I purchased LADIES CHASSEUR NEOPRENE LINED BOOT. These have a good fit and are easy to walk on. After three years the sole of both boots developed a crack and my feet have been getting wet ever since. I can show pictures of it.
