“We are in our 50’s and had a real challenge on our hand to get mortgage protection insurance as my wife had type 2 diabetes with a really high HbA1c reading and high blood pressure of 155/90 along with very high BMI of 36 and I had elevated cholesterol 7.1 and white coat syndrome for high blood pressure at 165/82 if I got my blood pressure checked at GP with a BMI of 32. John Hourigan at lion.ie was amazing to work with and gave us precise advice on how to approach the insurers for getting our mortgage protection in place. He took our blood reports and other Medical data and approached the underwriters in advance securing pre approvals which was amazing as we had got a lot of postponements due to our tough medical health .He then guided us through the PMA process whereby our GP had to fill out our medical reports. When John went on holidays Kathleen Sammon and Hannah McGowan provided amazing support and coverage. I was anxious , nervous & frustrated and would call and email multiple times asking questions and following up on status and was always responded to courteously and in a timely fashion. We have secured our mortgage protection which enabled us to buy our dream house. I am delighted we chose Lion.ie for our mortgage protection”

“My partner and I are in the process of buying our first property and needed to arrange mortgage protection insurance. We came across Lion.ie and had the pleasure of dealing with Richie. He explained everything clearly and made the process straightforward. As we’re unmarried, he highlighted the benefits of taking out separate policies. Richie was always available to answer any questions we had along the way and was quick to respond to emails. “I applied for Mortgage protection insurance and during the application process mentioned everything that I could think of, however this prompted many questions and further clarifications to be asked from the insurer. Richard did a spectacular job getting the insurance with as little hassle and he went far and beyond what I expected to get it over the line. This shows a customer centered mindset in an industry that seems to be very set on making you feel like just a number. 10/10 to lion and Richard.”

“I decided to go through Lion as I have a long term illness and required expertise help. We had gone sale agreed on a new build and everything was moving very quickly so we needed someone to assist us right away. John couldnt have been more help. I was called right away and he got to work getting quotes and offering advice about our options. This really put our minds as ease especially with the fact I had a long term illness that can slow these things down. All of our questions were answered along the way, we had to make some small adjustments and John was able to get on it within the hour. I couldnt recommend Lion highly enough.”

“I have been dealing with these guys for couple of years. I had had mortgage protection plans set up by the bank and thanks to Nick's knowledge of the industry and valuable insights I made a switch to more manageable plans. I have recently switched my income protection plan, this time it was Richard who played the major role in setting it all up. Big thank you goes out to him for handling this on my behalf. Bottom line is I have no reason to go to any other broker for all life insurance matters. Lion.ie is the place to go and I mean these guys sort out any issues you may have timely and professionally. “I made contact with Lion on Tuesday afternoon, and received the mortgage protection policy schedule by Thursday morning. I was concerned I wouldn't get cover as I have Crohn's disease and have had a DVT in the past. I dealt with Richie who was absolutely excellent, he had no issue securing cover. He made everything easy and stress free.”
