“The Moisturiser is fine. The cleanser is a good texture and creamy, but has rather an ‘antiseptic’ smell which is a little off putting. It would better to scent it with something natural or make it unscented.”

Hi Elaine, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you do not like the scent of the cleansing cream. We’ve formulated the skincare with no added fragrance because we understand how sensitive some skin types can be. You will still get a hint of the natural aroma of the ingredients used, which is perfectly normal as we have not deodorised the ingredients. “Lovely soap with no nasties, somewhat marred by plastic wrapping hiding under the paper wrapper! Why spoil such a nice product”

Hi Alison, thank you for your review. To protect the unique formulation of our soaps, these need to be wrapped in a recyclable PP plastic sachet/flow wrap, which we then pack in an FSC recyclable, compostable and biodegradable card carton. Soaps are normally made from palm oil and a soap made entirely from coconut oil, as ours is, is uncommon. With its better foaming and lathering qualities than soaps made with palm oil, this unique formula means the soap can sweat, which presents something of a challenge to us in storing it, hence the use of flow wrap. Please be assured that the packaging weight is minimised. We always aim to avoid plastic and to be as environmentally-friendly as we can - this is an area that we passionately care about and, as a small business, we are doing our very best. We are working on trials using a new biodegradable flow wrap, which we hope to use for future productions. Many thanks, Rian

“The three soaps I ordered arrived well packaged and in lovely boxes although I was disappointed to then find a plastic packet which I presume was not recyclable? However the fragrance free soap was for my Niece who says it is lovely to use and we have been using one of the other soaps which is also really lovely and smells really nice.”

Hi Wendy, Thank you for your review. The flow wrap is recyclable and though we're not fans of plastic and avoid it where at all possible, it is used to wrap our 100% coconut oil soaps out of necessity. “Iv been buying Lucy Bee products and following her on Instagram since 2017. Iv always loved the coconut oil/ cocoa / turmeric/ Himalayan salt and even the baths salts etc. As well as feeling inspired by her workouts on Instagram. So once I saw the beauty products were back in stock I was excited to try the skin care range.”

“I love these products, I bought the skincare set and my skin feels wonderful after using them and doesn't react badly with my sensitive skin. My only moan is not having the muslin cloth supplied when buying the whole set together. I think for the money spent it would be a nice gesture to offer that as that's what's recommended to remove the cleanser.”

“I bought the cleanser and tonic, as the products are much more expensive then I would usually spend. The cleanser is really good, my skin feels nice after using it. But never removes all of my make up. The tonic is quite strong for my skin, if I have any breakouts (which my skin is prone to) then it really stings, so I use very carefully. Overall I think the products are great, just perhaps not completely suited to my skin type.”

“Products looked amazing in their packaging when they arrived next day. Was super impressed with such quick delivery! I’m over a week into using them and my skin feels clear and pores appears smaller. I love the tonic!”

“Service very good and products beautifully packaged. The soap was lovely and lathered really well. The fragrance, Ylang-ylang, Jasmine and Cedarwood was very nice if a little faint. Could have been stronger I think but it does last throughout the bar, if not on the skin. Both my husband and I found our skin did tingle on occasion, not sure why this should have been as neither of us have any sensitivities. One bar lasted us about 3 weeks i.e. hand washing and in the shower. A rich, creamy handmade soap, a luxury.”

“Am new to these products! Have tried many before. Ive given a 4 as only been using them for a few days. The cleanser, the tonic and the cream. Am impressed so far, much clearer on the chin area. Quite expensive but from what o see so far, worth it..thanks Lucy!!”

“lovely creamy cleanser. Doesn’t feel like a wash at all, its more like putting some cream on your face and rubbing it in and then washing it off. Does leave your skin very soft. My face is always very clean so I’ve got away with using a tiny amount however I think if you have make up on you would need to use triple the amount. If your after a face wash this isn’t the product for you! Face cream is a bit different to other creams I’ve used. It’s oil based so I struggled with applying it at first but now got the hang of it. You have to apply tiny amounts on parts of your face and then rub it in. It you take to much and apply to one area it will get absorbed too quickly and end up making your skin feel very tacky. I don’t like the texture of the cream but I will continue using it because I have seen a positive difference on my skin. My 14 year old teenager however has reacted to the products and has come out in spots all over! If the face cream was cheaper I would buy it again because 55ml for £35 is very pricey. Previously when the face cream was launched I think it retailed for £25. Please lower the price or at least sell 100ml for £35.l so it’s more affordable. If you have sensitive skin then this product is perfect for you.”

Thank you Janet! It's important to us that our products are as effective as they are ethical and this includes the ingredients and packaging too. We're a small, family business and always respond to queries as quickly as we can, as we know how frustrating it is when waiting for a reply! “I love Lucy Bee products, and was really disappointed when I found the skin care range did not work well for me. After three days of using the products my skin became irritated and I broke out. However, I asked my mum if she wanted to try the products instead. She loves the range. It works really well for her. And we’ve both seen a huge improvement in the glow and brightness in her complexion. As for the soap range, myself and my daughter love them! We settled for two bars each, lol. For me the Spearmint Basil and Clove, is my favourite! Will definitely be purchasing more. I haven’t yet used my coconut flour or coconut cream, but I’m sure they will be a great. Keep up the admirable work Lucy. Thank you! X”

Hi Chantelle, we're sorry to hear that the skincare range didn't work for you, although we are having some amazing responses from different skin types, it doesn't always work for everyone. However, it's brilliant to hear that your mum is enjoying the range and it's working for her! The soaps really are so lovely, our Spearmint Basil and Clove Exfoliating Soap won Silver, and our Fragrance Free Soap won Gold in the 2019 Free From Skincare Awards for Soaps, for how well they lathered, lasted, and left the skin feeling after use! It's really great that both you and your daughter love them!
