Nightmare to get parked in short stay.

the short term parking site is a joke... (I) badly laid out (ie you can go up an aisle but then have to turn around in no space if no spaces (iI) pot holes everywhere (III) poorly lit (IV) damages car with loose stones.. Get this sorted, it reflects badly on what is a great airport to use

We recently used the Mid Term car park at Luton Airport for two weeks and I was very disappointed with the standard of the car park. I always use official car parking for airports and I believed you get a better standard and the car parks are safer etc. Upon arriving and leaving the car park it was the middle of the night so obviously it was dark as expected more lighting is required in the car park. The car park is not proper tarmac and is more gravel making it rather difficult when you have suitcases and a buggy to try and push over it after being able to finally find a space as there is no clear lines for parking and when there was nobody stuck to them so cars were parked at all sorts of angles. Upon arriving back at the car park early hours and having to trek to the end of a row for our car again my partner twisted his ankle on the badly laid road on a large rock that was difficult to see when navigating suitcases, a buggy and a young sleeping child, as a result of this he is now on crutches with a bad sprain, to top this off when we did get back to the car the doughnut in the car next to us obviously got fed up looking for a space so squeezed in between us and another car making it incredibly difficult to access our car from the passenger side, something painted lines would really help avoiding! I am really disappointed with this car park considering the money it costs to park at the airport and we will certainly not be using your "official" car park again nor be recommending it to any friends purely because of the safety level of it.

Not enough buses at peak hours in the morning. Had to wait 10 mins then bus was full as too many people waiting. Bus stop b filled bus. I was at a. Decided to walk and lucky I did as bus only going back as I arrived at terminal. For the money would have expected enough buses to meet demand even at busy periods. Luton really needs to spend some money to improve all it's services for the prices charged.

The bus stops are hard to see if you're not close to one. They get very full and it's stressful trying to get on with luggage - the buses are not well designed for multiple stops and passengers trying to move past each other. They are not as regular as advertised - we took 40 ,minutes which was also stressful. The website should advise customers that baggage reclaim can take longer than expected - we took 90 minutes to get back to the car so could have been stung with a late pick up payment

I arrived at 6.45am, based on the information you provide 15 minutes should have been enough to get me to the terminal. I arrived at the terminal at 7.15, 15 minutes late. What would have happened if I had missed my flight as a result of this?

Short term (premium) car park with pretty dreadful road surface and badly marked areas. The absence of signs for the exit was ludicrous if not potentially dangerous

Pre booked ticket wasn't available at arrival had to take standard ticket. when leaving the car park took a while until I could get security to let me out !!!!

Prepaid for parking. When trying to leave the car park my ticket came up with an outstanding balance. No answer from the help button at the barrier. Tried repeatedly and finally got through. Very poor experience.

I pre paid for my booking on line with a VISA card several weeks prior to using the car parking facility ,however, when I departed from the car park , as per the instructions ,I inserted my ticket into the machine at the exit barrier and strangely a cost was displayed - £169 !!! I pressed the button to speak to an assistant who was rude and very dismissive and not apologetic at all - He was really awful and like i said it was a pre pay and I should not have had to waste my time ldealing with this when I should have been on my way - then as I say i had to deal with this cretin who eventually let me out of the car park Overall a dreadful experience

whilst it very convenient . it is getting extremely difficult to find a space ! A few months ago I would drop the car off easily . the past few months it has taken quite some time to find room and if it carries on I will have to start looking for alternatives .

Mid Term Parking - took ages to find spaces in the lot as traffic flow poorly signed/managed. Longish walks to the Bus stops from the far end of the carpark. No "next bus arriving in X minutes" displays. Long wait at terminal on return leg (nearer 20 minutes).

Whilst the long term carpark is near the airport, it only has 2 x buses per hour. This is clearly on the light side when you see how many people cram on the bus when it arrives. Medium term would have been worth the extra pounds. I reckon in added a good 45mins onto overall journey.

Sign posting needs to be improved and the pedestrian crossing is a pain early in the morning as people leave the main car park.
