Hardly any free spaces in Short Term Automated barrier never recognises that I've pre-paid

In spite of my booking, the machine said I owed £190 when I left...

Entering and exiting the car park was a pain as NPR did not work. Poorly marked ,uneven ,badly tarmacked parking bays. Buses to airport not as frequent as advertised.

A good service with booking and buses was let down by long queues at the exit barrier. Despite pre booking and paying we waited twenty minutes to get out. Then when arriving at the barrier the ticket was not recognised. The person who eventually answered the call said "he was having to do everything" very poor service.

Although I prepaid for parking and followed the instructions to the letter, I still had to press the help button on exit as your system wanted me to pay again. In addition, I had to wait about 20 minutes for a bus from the terminal to the car park on return. I could have walked there faster. On a positive note, I found parking easily and only had a short wait for the bus from the car park to the terminal (about 5 minutes)

The parking itself was fine but the connecting bus service was a major disappointment. There are simply too few buses meaning each one is packed and they are around 25 mins apart. On both occasions our 16 mth old got quite upset being jammed into a bus in his buggy alongside strangers stood beside him and surrounded by bags. The journey to the airport was heavily delayed by congestion at the terminal entrance - there is insufficient space for the number of buses. On the return we had to wait half an hour for a bus, alongside a growing crowd of about 150 people, all looking to get on the bus when it finally came. As an indication of the frustration some pele chose to get a taxi from the nearby rank back to their car rather than wait for the bus and the inevitable crush. When it came it was more akin to Getting on a tube train at London Underground during rush hour. This service needs improvement and will make us think twice about using Luton again (not helped by the one hour delay before the baggage arrived).

Pre paid but when I returned and put the ticket in to exit it said I owed £84! Pressed for assistance, waited a very long time and then attendant was quite impolite. Before I could even finish my sentence he just said "Name?"...I waited and waited.....and then he said "ok" then the barrier opened. No apology, just rather rude.

I prebooked short term parking and when I arrived at the gate I was expecting it to recognise my number plate, however this was not the case, with cars behind me I just took a ticket, there was no one to assist me so I drove to the exit gate and pressed the buzzer for assistance, the member of staff was very helpful and advised they have had issues with this and advised me that upon leaving press the buzzer again and provide the booking reference and I could leave. This is why I gave the poor review as I was very confused, doubted myself that I was in the correct car park but again as I've mentioned the staff member was very helpful.

Luton are you listening? Please get the short stay car park resurfaced. At £37 a day to park in a pot hole this surely is the worst value for money car park in Britain.

I had pre-booked the short stay but went to the long stay by mistake. Unfortunately i didn't have time to go back and had to park there anyway and got charged £59 for two nights. My two day parking at Luton ended up costing me a staggering £85 (including what I had pre-paid). I have e-mailed Luton airport parking and asked for some clemency and a refund of at least part of the money but have heard nothing yet.

There was a sign directing us to spaceses which were full up, had to drive round and round looking for space to park. The ground is poor markings are hardly or can't be seen at all.

It didn't recognise my booking when I left and asked me to pay 60 pounds.. I rang the intercom from the car at the exit and had to wait 5 mins to be allowed out

For the price, this car park is poor. The surface is poor, there are many potholes and filthy puddles - hopeless for wheely suitcases. Poor signage for pedestrian way to terminal. Many cars parked out of spaces which narrowed the way in & out. Generally dirty and unattractive. Compared to Stansted short stay car park, this one is very poor.

Hardly any spaces, looked like a bomb site and poor directions. If you are going to pay £40+ I expect better.

pre booked short term parking, But when arrived number plate recognition not working caused hassle in entering car park. Same problem leaving late at night waiting at barrier to get out.

Very congested. Small spaces. Not properly marked out. No direction to available spaces. Potholes and pools of water. No circulation at the ends of aisles - had to back out!

The biggest problem that we had was actually finding somewhere to park. Having pre-booked short term parking we had expected to find a designated area for pre-booked customers. the car park is very poorly signed and at one point we had to reverse about 200 yards as we had found no space, the end of the row was blocked and there was no room to turn around!

Car park surface was very poor with large puddles of water and broken up tarmac. Poor reflection on the Airport.

I got charged £21 extra for leaving the car park 7 hrs late - given that 1) the delay was Ryanairs fault and 2) it originally cost me £61 for 5 days, these seems like profiteering. I think you should at least charge a fare hourly rate, or better still pass on the cost to the airline.

When I arrived at the airport I was sent from the correct area to the short term car park only to be sent back again. On calling the Customer Service I had confirmed I was in the right place in the first place. When I finally checked in, the service was at best surly. Rather than admitting a mistake, they tried to push the blame onto me for arriving later than expected. Any time I might of saved by valet parking was lost in the scenic tour of Luton Airport car parks. Will not use again.
