“I was one of many who was misled into becoming a 'member'. Regardless of what Luxplus say becoming a member is not clear especially when making a purchase via a mobile. The first I knew of this was a deduction of £8.99 from my bank account. If Luxplus were fair about this they would alert new 'subscribers' when a subscription payment is about to be taken and/or issue a refund if customers did not realise they had unwittingly become 'members'. As they do neither this is clearly a deliberate ploy to gain unsuspecting members and take subscriptions by stealth. From looking at the many poor reviews lots of customers have fallen for this and I wonder how many have paid months of subscriptions without realising. A nice little earner for Luxplus. I wonder what % of their income is from unwanted subscriptions? And how many people really get value from paying over £100 a year to access discount prices?? Someone needs to put a stop to this - eg Trading Standards - so many have been caught by this that it must contravene some law or guideline. And please dont bother replying Luxplus - we know what you are up to”

“I only found out I apparently agreed to a paid monthly membership when they pulled £9 from my account a month after my purchase, with absolutely nothing in return for this £9. It's incredibly misleading as they don't make this seem obvious when you place the order. Absolutely not worth placing an order here and risking this! “Be careful. They cunningly set up and charge subscriptions without asking and/or informing you just before you make a purchase. PayPal only mechanically responds to it, so your money is taken by PayPal as an 'Authorized purchase.' Therefore, it cannot be refunded.”

“ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY! They are a fraud company. They made me subscribe for a free month and then refused to refund it when it automatically subsribed for a second month. After a month of pleading and requesting for a refund, they refused when it was not even done by choice. I explained to them in multiple emails that i was abroad and that i was not aware of the automatic rolling on fee for their membership. They continued to refuse it all and failed to satisfy my requests. They have bad customer service and refuse any sort of leniency to listen to customer needs. Stick to The perfume shop or the Fragrance shop or Beauty base. They are the companies to purchase from.”
“Ripped subscription fee regardless cancelling on last minute.
I have remembered to cancel this recurring subscription on the last day of the renewal after free trial, but they have already billed me. I have cancelled the membership within couple of hours after seeing the charge. When I asked for a refund of the subscription fee they refused.
They are posing and pretending to be a customer-oriented company, but they have trash attitude towards customers. Any other customer-focused business would provide a refund if their recurring fee if you cancelled even 1-2 days after renewal, and I have done it within couple of hours.
The business is based on ripping the recurring subscription fees which is already explained in all their other reviews all over the internet.
