“I requested that the caviar be delivered on December 21 but instead it was delivered on December 8. Why do you have an option to choose a delivery date if you are not going to abide by it?”
“The gift was fine. I have a complaint about trying to get information about when it would arrive. I waited on the phone for 25 minutes before I talked to an agent, and then I was told she was not customer service, but could just take orders. She then would pass on my question to customer service. Why not have a phone number directly to them? It was exasperating! Good service would not work this way. I did receive the gift card a few days later. I like Mackenzie' products, but not this side of their business.”
“The food was excellent but I haven't actually tried all that I ordered. (Neither has my extended family)
The macaroni cheese casserole and garlic bread rolls are worth a four star record. The quesadillas- well can't really speak to those yet due to personal appliance issues.”
“First time customers. Order came quickly without incident. Ordered 4 different appetizers. 2 big hits, 1 good, and 1 would not order again. Guests who ate the appetizers said they would give Mackenzie a try.”
“Shipping was right on time. Cheesecake was delicious, lasagna appetizers were good too but bourbon bacon bites were awful. Too expensive for what you received.”
“Overall, Mackenzie products were tasty except for the Stilton Cheese. I have ordered Stilton Cheese through Mackenzie for the past several years and have never been disappointed, but this year, I was very disappointed. It seemed to be lacking in the rich Stilton flavor and texture that the previous years have had, and it essentially crumbled into very small pieces that made it very difficult to eat. Again, my other food choices were very tasty and enjoyable, but the Stilton was a HUGE disappointment.”
“Sorry, this is not a review you can publish. I chose the cranberry/apple stuffed turkey breast from the catalog because there was no mention of flour. However, when reading the ingredients on the actual frozen item I saw flour. Since I have celiac disease I eventually just threw it out. The lemon soufflés had a nice flavor, may not freeze too well. I just ate the lemon part, not the base which would have had guten. Maybe you should indicate gluten-free or not on catalog items.”
“The seasoned carrots were terrible. I had planned to have them with two different Holiday dinners. Never made it to the 2nd one. Tasteless, tough, and just Blah Blah”
“My food gift was very much enjoyed. I sent the Smoked roasted salmon, lobster bisque, and chocolate lava cakes to a small assisted living facility for a dear friend who loves really good food.
The only problem I had was that they didn't enclose my message and he called MacKenzie business but they couldn't give him any inform who ordered it. Luckily, I called him on Christmas and asked if he received the gift and he said "so you're the one that sent it"!!!”
“I had received a Mackenzie catalog in the mail. I ordered several items which we enjoyed. The AuGratin potatoes did not meet our expectations as described. I baked them for the total amount of time and still came out cold and hard. Added another 1/2 hour, still a bit better but still hard potatoes. Other wise the other items ordered were wonderful. I have referred many of my friends to Mackenzie.”
“Disappointed with the asparagus, the tips were broken on many of them. And they didn't crisp up as they usually do, I have ordered them before and these were not as good.”
