“We bought clothes in the store in Brussels. Got the VAT receipt as we returned to home (outside Europe).
We got the stamp in Brussels airport and then used Vattfree.com to receive the VAT back as the counter for receiving the money back on the airport was closed.
Despite several messages from both Vatfree and myself there is no reply/positive reply from Massimo Dutti.
They keep sending standard messages that we can buy online or go to the shop.
When I finally got in touch via WhatsApp with the customer service in Spain, the answer was that I had to go back to the shop to get my money back.
I informed him that this doesn't work like this and that they are according to EU regulations are obliged to refund the VAT. He then said to write an email, I did and off course no answer apart from the stupid standard answer.
When I approached them again the answer was that I had to go get my money in the shop.
The communication from customer care Massimo Dutti is absolutely outrageous and stupid.
Vattfree is starting now a legal procedure against Massimo Dutti.
Anyway their behaviour stinks and is fraudulous.”
“I am very disappointed with the quality of these shoes, both men's and women's. I purchased a pair of sandals, and after just one wear, the heel fell off. These shoes are overpriced considering their poor quality. I'm never buying shoes here again. They are also very uncomfortable.”
“I purchased several items that were on sale. Nowhere during the purchasing process did they indicate that some of these items would revert to full price if I didn't subscribe. Upon checking out, they highlighted and scratched out the price, replacing it with a exact same one in yellow as if they are on sale. However, if you pay attention, you'll notice they crossed out the old price, wrote the same price, and highlighted it in yellow (I even have a screenshot). This led me to believe it was still the sale price, but in reality, it was the old price. They don't disclose that these prices are pre-sale.
When the box arrived, there was no receipt included, making it difficult to notice. I intend to return all the items, but unfortunately, I wore the shoes I bought and only noticed afterward how deceptive their practices are. When I contacted them to discuss and request applying the discount on the shoes, they were unhelpful and rude.
I've been a loyal customer for 25 years, but this experience was so disappointing that I will never shop there again. This is fraudulent and completely unethical.”

“Absolutely appalling customer service experience after purchasing a jumper that fell apart after just one evening's wear. Multiple issues including snagging, the label constantly showing, and bobbling were dismissively attributed to 'wear and tear' by the company. It's shocking and utterly disappointing how they showed no intention of trying to resolve the issue or acknowledge the clear faults. The lack of responsibility and disregard for consumer rights have left me utterly disgusted.”
“Just to put things into perspective I don’t usually leave reviews or complaints as life is complicated enough and in the scheme of things buying an item of clothing should not be an endeavour.
However, I have been compelled to as I found the bar is set biblically low in the Massimo Dutti store in Bluewater.
The staff avoid eye contact and interaction of any kind as if it were in a zombie apocalypse.
I picked out a suede jacket for my son ( which I hasten to add is one of the most expensive items in store)
I stood by the vacant till and eventually a chap in a suit ( I’m assuming from his attire that he was the manager) arched his eyebrows upwards as if I had given him some adverse medical diagnosis reluctantly came over to serve me.
I appreciate that this chap was not going to discuss Femat’s last theorom but there was no “hello” or retail small talk. He proceeded to shove the suede jacket (no folding or tissue paper) into the bag as if I had purchased a fake designer item in Wembley market.
Now, I get it Mr Manager. Your childhood dream of working in Loro Piana has been dashed and you now find yourself interacting with us mere mortals in Bluewater
Do not expect a whiff of customer service in this store. It made for a laughingly bad experience.”
“I ordered a coat in the Black Friday sale for £179 instead of £299. After 4 days I was informed that it was on its way. Aday later I was emailed to say that they were sorry that i had decided not to have the coat and that a refund was on the way. I had not done his. I finally spoke to someone who said she would look into it but never got back. I rang again to be told there was nothing they could do and the coat was unavailable in my size. I went back online and ordered the coat for full price £299 it arrived the next day. I rang to try and get a refund and all they would offer was express delivery on future items. They will not put you through to anyone in a higher position. Appalling service! i will not be using them ever again.”

They didn’t refund me and can’t explain why. Two emails and two phone calls later and one report to the better business bureau and they STILL are giving me the runaround and ignoring communication. I had a terrible experience with Massimo Ditto shop in Mercado mall jumeirah this evening 07/05/2023 The staff the toll men I forgot hes name ,he was was very rude the customer service was extremely poor, and I was treated disrespectfully by him When I asked for help to buy a suite I took it by my self and I did everything by my self he never respond to any request I ask both staff they were unresponsive and uninterested in assisting me with my purchase. I paid the suite of around 1878 dirhams they don’t even bother to explain about the tailoring that they don’t have or try to assist even I told them that I will write a bad review or I will talk to your manager tomorrow he was laughing at me and was not even care about writing a review or complain to he’s manager it looks he’s also frustrated warming there or maybe they don’t pay him I feel extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience and will not be returning to this shop again.
