“They cold-called in our road which is designated as a no-calling road and then used a hard sell to convince us to take a free trial between 12-18 months ago. The hard sell, the milk quality and delivery were all poor so we did not open an account with them. I've now received a threatening debt collection letter to my house with someone else's name on it chasing £4.58 and claiming they have been communicating with me and trying to resolve the debt which is a complete lie as I've had no calls or letters? Next stop for me will be trading standards.”

“Somehow managed to sign me up to a "free trial" then proceeded to harass me for payment. Tried to cancel numerous times, but absolute nightmare to get through - then had to explain myself a million times as to why I didn't want the milk...”

“They missed one of my orders then still tried to make me pay it. Then they cancelled my account without telling me someone was meant to call me to sort it out which no one did they don’t care about their customers. Would never recommend and I was a loyal customer to them.”

“Macqueens Diary are harassing me for a bill that I did pay straight away by bank transfer, I have proves, I did send the proves to them more than once, but still they are keeping emailing me with the bill that was paid last year, on the first day that I received the bill letter.Disgusting attitude from this company, my next step will be contact a solicitor because this is distressing me daily.”

“Dunno if it’s just my area, but the milk I’ve been getting for the last year has been extremely poor quality, at best lasting 3 days from delivery before starting to go off, most deliveries being nicely “dusted” with the delivery guys cigarette ash and to top it all off when closing my account today after having enough, being threatened to be taken to court as they had to take payment of the last £4 (yes 4) for what I’ve had delivered, not even willing disregard this even with the issues I’ve had and gallons of milk I’ve poured down the sink over the last 11 months and the 100’s and 100’s of pounds they’ve had out of me for it Absolutely disgusted!!”

“In our case, we have had a damaged 2ltre container of milk left on our doorstep for 2 weeks running. We are new customers and today was our 3rd delivery. Last week, when I collected the milk, I found the container had only 1 litre left in it, the rest had leaked out. I rang to report this and felt satisfied when told we wouldn't be charged. Again, this morning, my partner found our milk had almost leaked away. There is clearly some problem with the plastic containers which makes for unreliability. We have cancelled our D/D now and it's back to the supermarket for us. Such a shame as we liked to think we were supporting a co-operative.”

“Set up an account with them and decided it didn't suit us, in fact the first order was a "substitute due to breakages" which became a "supply problem". Called to cancel and was highly and continuously pressurised not to cancel, asked why several times, and could we not take apple juice or eggs etc. The operator would not take no for an answer. I eventually insisted he cancel and he did. I only wish I'd seen the online reviews before. Would NOT recommend at all!!!!”

“This is like a scam. such bad experience and has been harassed for so long. So the guy say you get a free trial getting milk and can cancelled anytime if you don't like it. We cancelled because they sign us up for 4 bottles of 2L milk every week, no family can consume that amount of milk. Then they are not very happy we cancel it and harass our ass off to pay the two bottles they gave. I mean its not about the money, 2 bottles of milk worth nothing, but it is just disgusted us how they do this, and we called the customer service agreed to not charge us then keep sending us messages say if we do not pay they are going to take further action. Is this how they sell their milk? By scam people and harass them? unbelievable. Avoid in anyways, cause as long as you wanna cancel with them, they will show who they really are.”

“Absolutely appalling customer service!! Everything was fine for a few months until they randomly stopped delivering, no explanation, I tried to get in touch to no avail so I cancelled my direct debit, willing to forgo the 3 x4 pints of milk or £7.77 they owed me! Until I start getting demands from them for the £7.77 they reckon I owe them! Anyway madness has ensued and I've flipped my stack once more at them as I'd eventually been told it was sorted and the account was closed (without apology or refund I might add) only today to get an email and text AGAIN threatening me with small claims court! I email back asking if they're having a laugh only to be asked once more to send the info I've already sent to prove I had missed deliveries. Short version is they're absolutely rubbish, avoid.”

“Tried to Trick me into so called free sample, so cancelled before arrival over phone as I wasn’t happy which they offered a true free sample so I agreed, then proceeded to subscribe me to their subscription without my say so. Now I am forced to pay them. Bunch of wrong’uns.”

“I've been getting milk eggs and orange juice delivered every week for a few years now the products are always fresh milk is delicious and the service is amazing. I can't recommend McQueen's enough if you want fresh products delivered to your door at reasonable prices then give it a try you will not be disappointed.Thankyou McQueen's”

“What a nightmare from start to finish.....and they arent done with me yet!! Multiple calls per day to set up a direct debt that I had already set up online, via a link they had sent me. They couldnt see the direct debt but it was showing on my bank. After another call, I set up another direct debt on the phone and cancelled the one I had done online, cue phone calls for me cancelling the one they didnt have. Call last week to settle my balance, so I cancelled and paid the outstanding amount. And it rolls onto today and I have had more calls about the balance that they are now wanting. If I was elderly this would be enough to tip them over!”

“What's the hell? OMG, so many complaints and I just guess that I agreed tonight for the trial.. Tonight in dark time one man knocked the door and offered me to try theit milk delivery for 1 time per week. I agreed in sympathy for farmers and he gave me the Customer number. Already got two messages with very obsessive demand to set a Direct debit for the delivery!! No one delivery yet but already a Direct debit need to set!! Unbelievable!! I just guess that something wrong and started to find any information about the Company!! And what I seeing... They are scammers and bustards!”

“Knocked on our door on a Sunday night, advising that we could have a free trial and would deliver later that week, milk was delivered followed by my partner being called several times a day to set up our account details for a direct debit even though we never agreed to set up an account or that we wanted milk delivered. My partner than rang to have the phone put down on him, rang again and went through and explained that we never agreed to a subscription and it was a free trial which the lady on the phone explained that they don’t do free trials and said “ I’ll take your word for it” which sounds like she was accusing my partner of lying. She said she would cancel our account to which we never had one set up in the first place. from reading other peoples reviews and our own experience this company is best avoided. Will have to report them if they try and deliver more milk.”

“Rude, unhelpful staff. Tried to cancel multiple times, couldn’t get through on phone. Emailed and had replies offering oat milk etc, I made it very clear I just want to cancel, on multiple occasions. Then after months, they left milk again and now demanding I pay £1.90 as they don’t accept online cancellations. I will never use this company again. Avoid!”

“Thieves. They knocked on the door and told me they would be leaving a free bottle of milk to trial in case I then wanted to set up an account. Now they won’t stop delivering even though though they were not asked to do so.”

“The subscription system doesn't work, you cancel it or pause it they will still send you milk and charge you. The deliveries arrive probably 80% of the time, and they are terrible at taking responsibility for the 20%. They don't have a straightforward complaints procedure. If you challenge them on this or try to leave completely, they will harass you on the few quid they think is outstanding. The milk is somewhat average, nothing spectacular, good enough for my cappuccinos, and you will be paying a lot for it, just support the local store. A subscription for milk isn't something that makes a whole lot of sense. I was using them for well over a year I only had the issue when I paused the order before going on holiday, they still sent the milk out and charged me for it. I never turned the subscription back on due to these missing deliveries, and I've been harassed by them ever since. I'd steer clear. What others say about them going door to door basis is also valid, they lie to you.”
