“I ordered an air conditioner through the B&Q app, and it turned out to be a disaster. The product arrived faulty, and only after chasing support did I discover it was sold by a third-party seller, MH Star UK — even though the listing did not state this clearly at the time of purchase.
When I contacted B&Q, I was left on hold for 45 minutes, then abruptly disconnected when they tried to transfer me. When I finally got through again, they told me to contact the seller myself. MH Star UK was incredibly slow to respond, and after I sent them two videos as proof, they refused to accept a return. I didn’t buy a damaged item — I expect a proper refund.
To make things worse, I was told collection would happen on Friday, 11th July, between 8am and 6pm. I took the day off work, stayed home all day — and no one showed up, no contact, no update. Now I’m being told that “the courier isn’t guaranteed to call” — seriously?
Both B&Q and MH Star UK are refusing to take proper responsibility. MH Star UK was rude, unhelpful, and dismissive, and B&Q is pretending it’s not their problem, even though I purchased through their platform. I’ve sent them all the evidence, including screenshots, videos, and email trails — yet nothing.
Absolutely disgraceful service from both companies. I will never buy from B&Q or MH Star UK again, and I strongly advise others to avoid them completely.”

“Bought a dog stroller a year ago. When I reached out to customer service they are unable to find any details and the frame is broken we don’t even use it daily however had have to pay to have it fixed privately as the dragged their feet unable to find our order. Unfortunately I cannot find my delivery receipt. Our dog is about ten kilos under the recommended weight This product isn’t even used daily but is clearly poorly made as others I know which items from other companies have had them last years and years with no issues. I wouldn’t recommend using them to anyone not wanting to pay a lot of money on top of the expensive initial outlay! We have had screws and bolts fallout before this and fixed it ourselves it’s just not worth the expense for such a short lifespan of the product”
