As an international student attending a university campus that's fully cashless, I really needed to get online banking services quickly. It was bad enough when Monzo told me I'd get my card delivered to my address more than 10 days after I applied for it, but the card never arrived. Intransigent when I contacted them about it too. Horrible services

Don’t use them, they will take your money and hold on to it for up to 8 weeks, in the meantime your bills can’t get paid and you incur further late payment fees for these.

Disgusting. My salary gets paid into my monzo and I am a Father of 3 children. They have frozen my account completely giving me know reason or warning. After 48 hrs they have failed to honour a call back from a manager and I am still in the dark.

I was seriously devastated after I felt played by this BANK, They took all my funds , They have wonderful ways to make you deposit all your hard earned money in the hope of withdrawing , I reported to Aixa LTD.COM and I got all my hard earned money back from them.

This broker is a scam!! Please guys avoid them. I was only a victim to them because I believe it will be the best for me but am unable to withdraw from them and they keep on asking for more deposit. Worst bank and customer service, after been scammed I reported to Monzo, after 2 months reviewing my case they didn’t return my money. I provided all evidence to them, and they told me next time I must be more careful

MONZO BANK is a completely phony online banking. The largest trappers, and they don't trust anyone. They have fictitious official emails and profiles and operate like gangs. Additionally, they lack regulation and nearly lost £15,000. However, AixaLtd. c o m intervened and ensured that I recovered all of the stolen Funds Back.

I cannot even begin to express the nightmare of this app. Installing and moving money into it is, naturally, very easy. Using it in any other way is a nightmare. Once I realized I couldn't send money to a UK account from a US one, which was the point of me getting the app, I wanted to transfer my money back out and cancel. This all happened within minutes that I knew I couldn't use the app as intended. But they cannot reverse the transfer of funds into their app for you. You have to connect another account to them in order to transfer money out. I had to give them access to MORE of my money just to get my money. Only I can't do that either. I connected my PayPal TWICE, I can see my PayPal balance even, but selecting to move money never shows my PayPal account as an option for sending the money and finally being rid of this awful experience. Chat ignored me and took DAYS, close to a week the first time I tried to get help. Now, they're escalating my issues again and not responding. They clearly do not care, and just want to keep your money as long as possible until you give up and call it a loss, I guess, and keep your money for themselves. Do not use this app or transfer in any money. You may never see it again. Right now, I am still waiting for them to fix the "error" that continues to prevent me from getting my money and closing the account, but even if they eventually pull through and give me the money back, 1 star is still too much.

Promised £5 for referral Monzo to new customers and then did absolutely everything to deny payment of that £5, including lying that my friend's Monzo account exist. Not worth the hassle, stay clear. Oh, and if they deny that my review is true and asks for taking it down, I have all the evidence to prove I am right.

Take caution not to fall for these cunning con artists! They entice you with deceptive claims of excellent account performance, but when you want to withdraw your money, they slap you with unanticipated costs, leaving you with nothing. MONZO is a large Asian criminal organisation operating in the UK, claiming to be an institution that deals in money and its substitutes and claims to provide other money-related services, while restricting their clients in accessing their accounts and withholding their finances, for their own criminal activities.

Set up a new business and was into my 3rd month of trading, received a large payment from a client and they closed my account without warning or explanation, meaning i could not pay staff, my bills or direct debits, impossible to speak to a human being, can only chat via the app which is a robotic reply, kept my money for over 2 months, had to get the FCA involved to get my money back, worst experience of my life! so if you need a bank that will destroy your life and your business then choose Monzo

Monzo has a lot to offer in terms of a quality app, innovative products, and ability to respond rapidly to customer demand. However their service quality is lacking, without the history of an established bank they quickly fall short in how they handle customers finances and their products whilst advertised and marketed well, are not good financial decisions and in some cases such as Flex can harm customers. Their bank accounts and fees are ok for most and would appeal to the younger customers due to their apps etc, however they offer poor value on the paid accounts with little actual useful benefit beyond a different card design. They also have tendency to obscure or hide information in an effort to make things like loans or cards easier and quicker to apply for at the expense of customers being fully informed. This lack of clarity could harm customers as the ease of applying for products or services may lead them to make financial decisions not in their best interests. Flex is a good example of this, easy and quick to apply for an marketed as a credit card. However this is quite blatantly mis-selling as they are quick to tell you it isn’t a credit card the second you want to do something like a balance transfer. Flex should you end up paying interest is insanely expensive and a really bad product to use that many customers may end up using purely because it was easy and appeared simple so they didn’t do the research. Monzo know this and deliberately take advantage by defaulting to interest paying periods, offering high limits, and misleading customers. They similarly do the same with loans where the ease of applying and relative lack of upfront clarity means customers may not think to look elsewhere. Monzo is an ok bank, but don’t use anything beyond the basic account. If you want actual banking then look elsewhere for an established bank that is not driven entirely by marketing and fancy apps. I would summarise by saying that Monzo simply cannot be trusted to do what’s best for their customers and is more interested in treading a fine line between the bare minimum required by regulators and outright mis-selling of financial services. Personally I’d look elsewhere.

Monzo have closed my account down without a explanation I had 1578.00 in there what I can't get back I've called the monzo customer service and got tossed around been a month now what can I do to get my money back....
