I bought a Sigma 500mm from this company for £469.95. When I was checking through the prices and availability on their website, there was one available for cheap but was tatty and, according to the description, had dampness inside the lens. Obviously I avoided this one and spent a bit more on a better one. Why the company was selling a lens with damp in it is beyond me, I guess greed and shoddiness had something to do with it. When I got my lens, it was really tatty, had no box, the lock button didn’t work and it had a damp patch in it and had an intermittent issue with communicating with my camera. It took me almost two weeks of emails to finally get the company to replace my lens, they really were quite reluctant to be of any help and to send me a replacement. They even charged me an extra £10 for a better lens despite all the issues I had. Personally, I won’t be using the company again, they’re not particularly good at what they do, the customer service is unbearably shoddy and I’m guessing I got very lucky in getting a replacement. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy a very poor customer service experience and poor quality products.

Appalling service. Purchased several hundreds of pounds worth of equipment. MPB gave courier service incorrect address - parcel went astray. MPB did not respond for 3 days, then suggested that I go in search of the parcel myself, and if I can’t find it to contact the police and report a theft!

Bad bad bad. I have worked with them couple of time. Until i have a very bad experience. I have biught one camera "good" condition. Is came with a small default. I just kept it because i bought it as "good" not "perfect". The camera that i barely used sat in my shelf for a year. I tried to re use it but got ennoying by the default. So decided to sell it to mpb and bought from them a newer model. Now they do not want to buy it because it has this default.... why sell it at first place then? Ps: i even sent themphoto proof of the camera the day when i received it we can see the camera is in bad shape

This is the worst camera company in USA NEVER SELL THEM ANYTHING. They will damage your equipment and then NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT. They conduct a "fake" research and then deny you. When my lens was returned to me it was not working, and then i sent them proof it was fine before but they deny your claim and probably charge Fedex for shipment insurance.

Do not trust this company very unprofessional and don't care the slightest bit about their customers, ridiculous offers in trade in in first quote but wait until you get the updated quote saying we had to make some changes so don't get conned with the first quote as it never stays the same, and for customer service they are rude and vindictive with no moral compass totally useless when they don't get their own way which usually means rip you off. Their are far better honest camera stores out their steer clear of them.

MPB is not a company you want to do business with. I purchased a Nikon Lens USED , when it arrived , I was sold a GRAY market lens. I wanted to return it as it was not disclosed to me that the Nikon lens was in fact a gray market product, however I was in a bind and had a full schedule and needed a 24-70 lens. 5 weeks later, The lens was bumped, and the lens just fell apart. They refused to fix it, as it was under their 6 month warranty period. They are not a reputable business .

The measure of a company is how they cope when things go wrong. My lens was delivered to the wrong address. The delivery picture shows the lens being thrown over a 2 meter fence. MPB know where the lens is and want me to go on a one kilometre round trip and try find it. MPB seemed surprised that I didn’t want to do this. They refuse to refund until a lengthy investigation has taken place. To compensate me they offered a £25 discount code but only if I spend another £250. Effectively holding my compensation to ransom. I was a loyal customer having spent thousands of pounds with MPB. It costs a lot of money to attract customers and costs nothing to lose them. Never again.

Sure, on paper, this seems great: a platform where you can grab old photo gears at a discount, or even trade in your old gear. The first 2 purchases I made on mpb were great and straightforward. I didn't use the trade in option and purchased old lenses that were as advertised. Then I tried the trade in option, and everything went bad. The first trade in, the team pretended my lens had fungus, same lens was estimated as "like new" by the same team 3 weeks before. They also pretended the lens cover was missing, which wasn't the case. Because of that, the purchase value decreased a lot and I had to pay much more than advertised to receive the gear in exchange. The second trade in was a total scam. DHL came to my home 3 days later than planned, and finally, my lens got lost. It took more than 30 days and tons of long emails for the team to react. A bit of fighting too, the team pretended I didn't send the lens. I finally get reimbursed a part value of the lens that went lost. So, if you're looking for a serious company, IMO, think again and go somewhere else. I might have been lucky 2 times, but this clearly seems to me to be a complete scam. Grabbing a bargain is always nice, but fighting with liars or people who don't care to lose your lenses or cameras is clearly not worth it.

I spent £1,250 on a Nikon Df body which developed a battery drain fault - three bars to dead within a week. I contacted MPB well within the 6 months warranty period and was advised by a staff member to conduct very tests to identify the cause - no SD card, no lens, other battery, other charger etc. I was even persuaded to buy two further Nikon batteries to test. Each test took a week or so to complete and when it was clear it was a camera fault I contact MPB same staff member again to return camera and I was told that the testing had taken us beyond the 6 months warranty period, and they have refused flat to accept the camera for repair, despite having first been informed of the fault well within the 6 months period. All I was offered an insulting £10 voucher on my next £100 spend, but no warranty repair! I'm now left with a £1,250 doorstop or expensive Nikon repair, plus small claim court, which I intend to pursue. I googled MPB reviews and found I wasn't alone - absolutely hundreds of negative experiences with this company! Wish I'd done this first!!

Seems like you can never get a real person to talk to you for customer service. I have been trying to return a lens I had bought from them. But no one seems to want to answer my calls or emails I have sent them. Will never buy from this company again. Such a horrible customer service/lack thereof. I don't even think they exist.... They're fast at charging your card if you purchase from them, but you never hear from them if you need customer service. Bullcrap

It is a shame that I am unable to give -00000 to MPB US Inc. Do yourself a huge favor and deal with a reputable outfit out there instead of MPB and you will save yourself a ton of aggravation & $. I have had a horrible experience dealing with them. The level of incompetence is beyond the pale. They are a scam and fraudulent co. On top of it, very difficult and time consuming to reach anyone that can resolve your issue. But if you get to finally speak to a "Customer Experience Team Lead" named Alastair, you get to be insulted by a very nasty individual and accused of lies and mischaracterizations. Physiological projection at it's finest. I got a quote & shipped a camera to them, I confirmed receipt via tracking. They said they did not receive it. Upon my many kind request, they finally checked the security footage and admitted indeed they had received it, BUT were unable to locate it. After asking them several weeks later, they said they finally found it BUT that it did not work. I voluntarily provided them with a raw file with the included metadata to prove the camera was working just fine just prior to me shipping it in. More than a month has gone by and my case is still not resolved. The level of harassment and hassles that I have had to deal with is incredible. I do believe this is a scam operation in which later they want you to provide them with a photo DL to supposedly conduct an investigation. Now how would anyone in the right mind provide it, if they cant even keep track of the inventory they receive. I have been extremely understanding, courteous, calm and patient with them to no avail. I did not want to publicly air my grievances. I only feel the need to warn people to stay as far away as possible from these con artist. I do hope that if anyone reads this it will help them avoid what could be a horrific experience and loss of your gear. As a professional in business for many years I have NEVER dealt with anything like this in my entire career.

Used to find this a reliable and useful service however have been astounded by latest experience. My Canon lens which was £1250 was thrown over a wall by the delivery driver and their returns policy meant I had to wait a week for a day I was working from home to send the lens back before I could have a replacement sent. This time the delivery driver didn't even show up. Three weeks after paying for next delivery I am still stuck with a lens that has been launched over a 7 foot wall and senior management at the company clearly do not care. They will not be getting my custom again.

Battery was unusable causes error light to flash on charger .. corroded ring with blue gunk on it. Sensor was filthy and took 6 swabs to get usable. Couldn’t get a hold of support through the chat as it’s the only option. This is in the US I’ve heard it’s a good company outside US but unfortunately they can’t be trusted here.

Total scam. I had read previous reviews so I took what I was selling to a local shop expert who said everything was in excellent condition. Took pictures of gear prior to sending (packed in secure road case). Gear had been used on maybe 3 shoots as indoor b-roll and one lens had never left the case but was considered degraded by them. When I brought it up they said they fix them to sell as excellent which is convenient when you never have to prove you did anything to gear that was actually already in great shape. Don’t trust these guys, same thing happened to my wife and she didn’t want to deal with it so sold to them only to see her now good condition gear being sold as pristine.

This is definitely my last time using MPB. I never had any issues before. I received a camera body listed as "Excellent", however the condition was far from it. The camera body clearly has been dropped. The item was probably a grade or two above "bargain" at most. Granted the camera did "function", but it was not cosmetically "Excellent". Actually the USB port was a little bent, so it wasn't fully 100% functional. Meanwhile, the camera that I exchanged it for looked brand new, yet the quote was listed as "Excellent". I don't get how both were graded the same. I then returned the camera body to exchange for a "Like new" graded condition camera body instead, and now it's been crickets for about a week. Definitely over their "2-3" day policy. After 3 days of silence I followed up with customer service. I then received an email stating that my item has been shipped out on June 30th and that I'll receive the camera by July 3rd at the end of the day. Then July 3rd came around and nothing. The tracking status changed from "delivery by the end of day" to "Label Created". Why BS? I don't even care if the shipping was delayed, but come on. The main probably with MPB is the transparency. There's almost none. Most companies provide status details of your order, while MPB keeps you in the dark with assumptions. Whenever I do receive the camera, I'm hoping that the replacement/exchange meets their quality grade. I'm not entirely optimistic, but I'll definitely be shopping at more reputable photography stores from now on.

Dishonest, incompetent, rude. I requested a quote on a Sony HXR-NX70U video camera. Their web site provided a quote but for a HXR-NX80. I did not notice their mistake and sent in my equipment. Once they realized their mistake, they reneged on the deal and sent the equipment back. However, they did not return the user manual, quick start guide and one of two microphones. When I contacted them, they lied, and said the equipment was not in the box they received. I believe they failed to take everything out of the box. They shipped the camera back in different packaging, yet another mistake. It is going to be a lot harder for me to sell the equipment without the instruction manuals. When I asked them to compensate me, they demanded a copy of my driver's license and a copy of the top part of a bank statement - with the account numbers and current balance, of course. Why would they need these? Other than to drain my bank account? When I refused, they said they were "denying my claim" because I refused to provide this personal confidential information. They stole my equipment, or at least lost it, will not accept responsibility, and they lie to me then accuse me of lying. Do not do business with them, they cannot be trusted.

They have no purchase protection. My package stolen because fedex decided to leave the package outside my apartment door without ringing my bell. I am not maybe even fedex staff stole it. They don’t require signature under 500 dollars so they can safe 2 dollars. I would be happy to pay that if I would have any option on website. Anyways after police reports etc they did not honored my purchase. 350!dollars lens just gone like that. They are shady business. I wasted whole week to figure out how to recover my loss. Never again.

This is the most screwed up company that I have ever dealt with, never again. They would not accept my visa credit card for the lens I was buying through a trade for my lens. I owed $74 for the lens I was buying. After two days of no answers of what was wrong, I told them just to send my lenses back. A label was made on 5/26, today is 5/21 at 8:00 pm NY time and Fedex has not received the lens. I checked my transaction on their website and it said I was paid (impossible since I have not set them my account). Their help mode on the website is worthless when something goes wrong, and they hide their phone number. I did finally found their phone number by goggling the internet. I called them only to be told they would call me back when the visa thing was corrected, no call back.

Sold me a lens , I didn’t use it so sold it back to them one and a half months later, they had it for 2 weeks and now say they can’t buy it as it has fungus in the lens. I have just spent £1100 with them and was going to return all the gear and go elsewhere, only to be informed I missed the 14 days return by one day. Total waste of time and money never again.
