Just received a revised offer for my brand new and boxed phone, from £275 to £25 as it's damaged yet I took photos of it in mint condition with original screen and back protector on. Obviously I have rejected the offer and expect it back in the same condition.

Hello Andrew, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When your device was received and tested, our technicians found that the proximity sensor was inoperative and the accelerometer was faulty. These issues meant that the item could not be accepted as being in good condition as it is deemed faulty by our specifications. The item was regraded and a revised offer was made to reflect this. As the revised offer has been declined, the item will be returned to you as per our price promise. Kind regards, mM CS

Checked every box myself before packing up and sending, then 10 days later receive an email saying they’ve credited my account for only half the money but no explanation why just that the money has been transferred! A serious lack of communication here, and when I query it they send a list of ‘missing items’, and I do not understand how they have disappeared... requested that they send my entire package back & take their money back but customer services have said no it’s too late, it’s been finalised but I never agreed to receiving a lesser amount and was given no choice in the matter. Very untrustworthy and after reading all other comments I’m clearly not alone!

Purchased 2 dvds from music magpie. Both arrived and they were so filthy dirty and scratched that the film jumps quite a lot throughout and is frustratingly unwatchable! This is not he first time that I have had this issue either and wasted my money with this company! Will not be returning!

Liars, cheats. Offered me a revised offer of £15 after an initial offer of £127! Said there was screen burn, liars that's all they are. Instructed them to return my device.

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. As mentioned, when your device was received and tested, it was found that the item had screen burn. For clarity, a screen burn is where you can see a faint outline of something that was once on the screen - such as an icon, the time, or lines - showing mainly on clear white screen. As this is a fault with the LCD we are not able to offer a higher price than offered for this order. We have a tech price promise in place to ensure the best outcome for our customers. As the revised offer was declined, the item was returned to you free of charge. Kind regards, mM CS

I was quoted £189.72 for an old iMac in good condition. Upon sending it in MusicMagpie assessed the iMac and claimed it was faulty. They sent me an image they used to justify their evaluation of the machine, showing two tiny blemishes on the hard glass. (Look up Imgur image frxL50T to see what they sent me) As you can see there are two barely noticeable blemishes to the hard glass on the front of the iMac, with the screen still being FULLY functional. Customer services has outright refused to reconsider the grading, opting to skip over grading it as poor and only offer the Faulty price of £37.94. MM is clearly chancing it on a number of machines in the hope that customers will decide that the hassle of getting the machine back is too much to bother with and they can bag themselves a bargain. With phones its easy to get the item back, but to get an iMac of this size back would require me to take a day off work to await the delivery which further skews the economics of their offer. Think twice about sending MM any items that will be a logistical problem to take back when they play their grading games.

Hello James, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. The blemishes found on the screen of the device showed signs of liquid damage upon testing, which is why the device was regraded to faulty. When an item is regraded, the revised offer is final so unfortunately, customer services wouldn't have been able to change the grading on the item. As the revised offer was accepted, payment should have cleared with you on 15/10/18. Kind regards, mM CS

Hello John, We're sorry to learn your experience was not as positive. As mentioned, when your device was received and tested, a number of heavy scratches were found on the device. This meant the item could not be in good condition as originally listed, but fits the description of a poor condition device. As the revised offer was declined, the item has been returned to you free of charge, as per our price promise. Kind regards, mM CS

Hello Mike, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. As mentioned, your item was regraded from good condition to faulty due to dust in the camera meaning the camera was not functioning properly. When a device is regraded, a revised offer is made to reflect what we're currently offering for a faulty condition device. As the revised offer was declined, the device was returned to you free of charge on 24/9/18 as per our price promise. Kind regards, mM CS

I sent my iPhone to them once my contract was completed and I had upgraded to the newest model. My phone was in perfect condition when I sent it, wrapped in tissue paper in an iPhone box in a padded bag. I then received an email with a revised offer for £20. Knowing that the phone had no issues I requested that it was sent back to me. Upon opening the box I can see that the screen protector has been removed and the screen badly damaged, I now have a damaged phone which is worth nothing and receiving absolutely appalling customer service from the conpany

Hello Aimee, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When your device was received and tested, it was found that the item had a pixel fault which meant the device was faulty rather than being in the good condition as originally stated. Because of this, the item was regraded and a revised offer was made, which was declined. This meant the item was returned to you free of charge. We requested images of the device prior to sending to determine whether the damage had occurred in transit, but these were not provided. The information for our complaints department has been shared with you through email, should you wish to raise a complaint. Kind regards, mM CS

Hello Ami, We're sorry to learn your experience was not as positive as we'd have hoped. Having looked into your order, we can see that your item was returned to us with a number of cracks which would void the warranty, but the battery of the device was replaced. We have explained this via email - most recently on 5/9/18. Should you need any further assistance, please get in touch with our customer services team so they can help you. Kind regards, mM CS

CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS REF: MC759633 J ORDER ID: 4802166 I sent an immaculate iMac for sale £230. Received an email offering me £44 due to a damaged case. When I queried the damage I was sent pictures of a bent up computer. And asked to prove it wasn’t damaged in that way when I sent it. I had pictures of the basics (screen / keyboard / mouse / packaging etc..) however none of the metal back. Therefore claim was refused. I have had the item returned however the mouse was not included and I am now left with a knackered computer and no compensation. Absolutely disgusting that they have done this and had the cheek to relinquish any responsibility. I didn’t bother with eBay as it this seemed like less hassle, however I couldn’t have been more wrong. I wish I had read some of the reviewers here first. My advice would be to avoid at all costs, however if you insist on using them, ensure you photograph absolutely everything, even the unimaginable damage, as I am sure they will come up with new ways to vandalise people’s goods to get a better price.

Phone was sent to them in perfect condition andni have the photos to prove it. They got in touch saying that magically the phone would not charge becauze the charger was damaged. It was not when it was sent to them. They refused to acknowledge fault and wanted me to accept a deal of 10 pounds for a phone they had originally quoted was worth 110. I did not accept ofcourse and when phone was returned indeed the charging port had been tampered with.

Most awful company ive dealt with. website states next day payment, after three weeks of chasing its finally been processed. they lost my ipad and then found it in the warehouse. they broke the sim tray on my iPhone and sent it back as damaged. they sent back my kindle fire saying it had heavy scratching - there wasn't a single scratch on it. Rip off merchants, out to get what they can by making up issues and hoping youll go along with it for ease. will never ever use again.
