This is the first time I have used Music Magpie and have to say it will be the last. I purchased a used iPhone 7 for my son's birthday. It arrived quickly and appeared in good condition. Unfortunately there was a problem with the phone, which would not charge (the charging cable was new and provided by Music Magpie). I returned the phone the following day and asked for a refund for this faulty device. Their customer service was terrible with them taking far too long to reply to emails. Phone calls also failed to speed the process and in the end I had to raise a formal complaint. The phone was returned on 5th Feb and it was only on 11th March that I received a refund. I decided to buy from Music Magpie as I believed them to be one of the larger more reputable companies. Unfortunately this has not been the case.

They offer very little money for dvds. Then when they pay out it is less money than they quoted. Customer service is nonexistent, absolutely hopeless.they said that they would contact me but didn’t. They then sell the dvds on eBay for a lot more money than you were paid. Would rather give my dvds to a charity shop than use them again. Try Ziffit better offers. For some reason this site won’t let me rate them with 1 star. If I could I’d rate them zero

Very poor service. My revised offer was reduced from £75 to £22.50 for an iphone 6. My main issue was the reason given wasn't even true about the device! I obviously declined the offer and will be going elsewhere and would recommend you save yourself the hassle and do the same.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! This company advitises SAME DAY TRANSFER from when they receive the parcel. THIS IS A LIE! musicMagpie DO NOT do same day transfers - The proof is right here! I had sent two items on the 6th March 2019 both of which got delivered to musicMagpie this morning at 8am. Managers refuse to take calls due to headset health & safety.. what a load of rubbish! This company after the experience I have just received would not be recommended to anybody as they lie and are deceitful. DO NOT SEND YOUR VALUABLE ITEMS TO musicMagpie.. *** NO SAME DAY TRANSFER *** For same day transfers visit: Carphone Warehouse trade on or visit the link provided below. CARPHONE WAREHOUSE SAME DAY TRANSFERS: www. carphonewarehouse.com /mobiles/trade-in.html CARPHONE WAREHOUSE DO THE SAME DAY TRANSFER OR YOU CAN POP INTO ONE OF THEIR MANY STORES ACROSS THE UK TO COMPLETE YOUR TRADE IN FOR CASH IN STORE OR ONLINE CARPHONE WAREHOUSE TRADE IN IS A MUCH BETTER OPTION AND YOU CAN SPEAK AND DEAL WITH HUMANS.. It’s great! with SAME DAY TRANSFER GUARANTEED unlike this company musicMagpie! MusicMagpie TAKE THE BISCUIT when it comes to transfers! Liers is what they are and very rude staff in call centres one of which told me I can not even have my stuff back then hung up the call with me so I had to call back.. we’ll it didn’t get any better. I wish I had not sent my items to this company.. think twice please don’t make the same mistake I did. Regards, Indy Singh

Where do I even start? I purchased an iPhone 7 from musicMagpie back in November. Delivery time was great and on arrival everything looked good. Fast forward to February and I went to Apple to get an official battery replacement. Upon the specialist inspecting the phone he stated that the phone contained a non-genuine Apple display and just about all of the internals were non-apple and non-genuine, and for that reason Apple couldn't service my device. I was surprised to hear this and immediately contacted musicMagpie the day after as I've pretty much been sold a non-genuine device. They finally replied via email 3 days later asking for the order number. I provided the order number and communication has stopped. I sent another email asking for a refund or replacement, no reply. We are now at the 7th March, 2 weeks later from where I first raised the issue and no contact. I got sick of waiting around and decided that I'd sell the phone back to them (at a £100+ loss), and they have received the phone and have the cheek to say that the microphone is now faulty and reduced the amount even further. The phone is still covered by their supposed 12 month guarantee. Honestly this whole thing has just been pathetic with customer service that take days to respond (if they eventually do) and I just want a full refund. I have sent 2 emails today, one to customer service and one to their dedicated complaints department, again stating they now have my phone and that I would happily be out of pocket and take the amount they originally offered when I sold it back to them. I am in talks with my bank about this and they are advising me on what can be done to get a full refund. Honestly this is disappointing as I've bought and sold to magpie loads of times in the past and have always recommended them to friends and family but never again. Initial order number from when I bought the phone - R612345346 Selling order number - 5175619

Shocking customer service, worst experience ever! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Shocking customer service I have had the worst customer experience with Music magpie ever. I ordered a phone on Jan 31st. The phone I was sent was Faulty. I returned it and 2 weeks later after chasing numerous times was sent a second phone that was also faulty, I returned the 2nd phone and asked for a 3rd attempt but for them to please check the phone thoroughly before sending it out. I received the 3rd phone and to my dismay it was the original phone they sent out to me which was still faulty! and I have had to return for a 3rd time. we are now 4th March and I am still chasing my refund. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. Bad products and even worse service! I asked for a manager to call me so that I could make a complaint only to be told that managers don't speak to the public!!! Completely disgraceful!

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. As mentioned, when your item was received and tested, it was found to be in poor condition as the screen of the device was heavily scratched. The level of damage found to the device went beyond what we could accept as a good condition phone. The device was regraded to poor and a revised offer was made to reflect the change. The revised offer was declined, so we returned the item free of charge, as per our price promise. As we received a heavily scratched device, we have to assume the item was sent to us in this condition. Please get in touch with our customer service team so this can be further investigated. Kind regards, mM CS

I wanted to sell them, ipad 4 mini offered a price of 140 f while ipad reached them and they offered me 12 f is some zart. I did not give my consent. Ipad was in the state of A ++ and returned to me without a protective glass, sim card and in addition with a scratched display. I suppose that when the glass was peeled off they damaged the display. I do not recommend these cheaters !!!!

Hello Mariusz, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When your item was received and tested, it was found that the casing of the device was bent which deems it to be faulty. We regraded the item because of this and made a revised offer. As the revised offer was rejected, the item was returned to you free of charge. The likes of a SIM card would be disposed of upon testing and we advise that these are not included when items are sent to us. If you feel your device has been returned in a different condition to when it was sent to us, please get in touch with our customer services team directly so this can be investigated. Kind regards, mM CS

Avoid like the plague. Offered me 10% of the original price when they received the item. Said the screen was water damaged. Nothing wrong with it. Can't refuse the offer as they won't let you log into your account to tell them to return it. Phone line is not answered and emails not replied to. Scam merchants.

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When your item was received and tested, liquid damage was found on the screen of the device, which shows clearly as white spots on both sides. Liquid damage deems the item to be faulty as per our specifications. The item was regraded because of this and a revised offer was made. Avoid. Bought a refurbished iphone 6 for my son. When it arrived the screen was slightly raised and it wasn't an iPhone screen. The company should inform you of this in description of the item but they don't. The screen froze within a week and the phone cut out. Returned the phone to music magpie who then informed me the phone had a damaged screen and casing despite me sending it back to them undamaged. Despite numerous e mails asking for a refund because the phone was not fit for purpose they are refusing a refund stating I have damaged the phone. Music Magpie have pocketed 250 pounds of my money..sold me a faulty phone then are refusing a refund on the basis it was damaged. The hairline crack in the screen would not cause the screen to freeze. The refurbished phones do not have original parts, they told me this but it is not in their description of the phone. This has breached my consumer rights Their customer service and response to complaints is shocking..wouldn't use again.

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. For clarity, we do not state that the items on our store come with original parts as we cannot guarantee that. We're also unable to create bespoke listings for our items due to the high volume we have. As we state on our website, our warranty does not cover accidental damage. A crack in the screen would be accidental damage so we're unable to repair the item and the warranty is void. The item was returned to you as is standard procedure, as listed on our site: if the warranty has been voided (for example if the item has been accidentally damaged) we will return the item to you free of charge. We can see that the complaints information has been provided, but we're unable to locate a complaint regarding this order. When one has been raised, our dedicated team will investigate further. Kind regards, mM CS

Don't trust them. I sent in a perfectly working iphone and they claim it doesnt work and try to offer half the original trade in value. Sharp practice. Go elsewhere.

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When your item was received and tested, it was found that the earpiece was faulty and that the front microphone was inoperative. These issues meant the device was faulty rather than being in good condition as originally listed. Because of this, the item was regraded and a revised offer was made to reflect the faulty condition. As the revised offer was declined, the item was returned to you free of charge as per our price promise. We're sorry it hasn't worked out on this occasion. Kind regards, mM CS

My phone came this morning and to my disappointment, it was not charging despite being plugged in. I phoned customer service and I can only describe the advisor as either chewing gum down the phone line or I interrupted her lunch! Terrible first time experience and will not be using again!

Sent a iPhone 4s along with 2 other phones all wrapped secured and boxed. They sent me a email stating it did not boot up and offered me £30 less. I declined and they returned the phone back smashed as though the phone was forced open. Will never use again !!

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. Having looked into your order, we can see that an iPhone 4s was listed in good condition for £16.70. However, when the item was received and tested the item was found to be faulty so we could only offer £2 for it. Faults found with the device are as follows: Power - device not booting or powering up, also expanded battery, lifted back glass, cracked screen, faulty sim tray slot. Unable to check for accounts or restore. The difference in price is £14.70 as opposed to £30 as mentioned. As the revised offer was rejected, the item was returned to you in the condition in which we received it, free of charge as per our price promise. We're sorry it hasn't worked out on this occasion. Kind regards, mM CS

Bought an expensive iphone after about 3 months the battery stopped charging. They asked me to send it back and that usually it would be back with me in 5 to 7 days. They have had it now for 10 days and insist I delete my apple account before they will look at it (even though the battery is the problem) I rang them and they said they would ask the technician if I could just give my passcode but then said no. So 10 days no further forward. Had to delete my account (with all the hassle that causes) Will never use them again

Hello Gary, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. We apologise for any delay in processing of your returned item. When the returns label is provided, we include instructions on how to remove the iCloud or Google account - this needs to be removed so we can access the device. Unfortunately as the account wasn't removed upon receipt, the process was delayed. As the iCloud account was removed, we were able to access the item and the fault was repaired. The device has been returned to you. Your patience is appreciated. Kind regards, mM CS

Basically, i sent lots of dvds and books nicely packaged and collected by Hermes on the day as scheduled. I received an email from MusicMagpie stating that about half of the items were missing! How is that even possible? If the box ripped apart, they would have all gone. If the box arrived safely, they would have all been there. I didn't even bother with an investigation, how am i gonna prove I put everything in the box once it's been delivered. Shocking really, i only received half of what i was going to in terms of payment. Would have been better to take everything to the local charity shop. Lesson learnt - never us MusicMagpie again, it's a con.

Hello Cavit, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When your order was received and checked, a number of items were missing so we could not issue payment for them. Had the parcel been damaged, this would have been noted but it was found to be intact. We notified you of the items we did not receive and continued the order without them as per your request. We're sorry it hasn't worked out on this occasion. Kind regards, mM CS

They are doing a dodgy credit deal with PayPal and not offering better, fairer offers at point of sale - they hide the better offer and push though higher interest instalment plans. Their customer service response was just a rude and condescending brush off to PayPal, who had already told me MusicMagpie set the terms. Offered absolutely no help despite them being a broker for PayPal. Avoid. Order no R221359395
