Sent a fairly expensive phone (only 2 years old) to them after bought a new one, was offered £170.00 but they emailed that the phone had screen burn and offered only £30. Strange that the screen burn was from a site hardly ever used and would never leave it on long enough to burn the screen so asked for it back. The phone was returned in a filthy disgusting state, finger marks all over it which is a huge concern in this pandemic. The least they could have done was to clean it.

I ordered a refurbished phone online and after purchasing, realised that there was a better phone with more storage for only slightly more money. I returned my original purchase and asked if I could get a voucher or credit note and told that I could only be refunded. I waited for the refund and when it arrived, I purchased the second phone that I saw. The tracking number I was given did not work and I was told to wait 24 hours because maybe it hadn't been processed yet by Royal Mail. Given the current Covid situation, that was completely understandable so I was fine to wait. After 2 days, the tracking number still was not being recognised so I contacted musicmagpie customer support who then told me they couldn't see why it wasn't working but that they would escalate it and I should receive an email with a response. Again, I waited 2 days, and I received no email. I contact customer support again only to be told that the order had been put on hold for suspected fraud, I won't be received a refund until their investigation was over and I also won't be receiving my order. As far as I'm aware, it is my prerogative to change my mind after receiving an online order. I informed the company of my intentions every step of the way since my original order and now they can't even tell me how long this "investigation" is going to take so I can't even use another company to purchase the phone because they are keeping my money. I understand that this is likely a rare set of circumstances and that most buyers won't find themselves in this situation but their customer service support has been awful and I do think that it's the support you receive at the worst of times that show's the value of a company.

This company is a bunch of thieving cow boys. They pay you a pittance for your CDs and then when they arrive they claim there are dozens of the missing when they have all been sent in the same box. Clearly a bunch of thieving Cowboys that cannot be trusted. Do not use this site sell your unwonted goods elsewhere.

Bought an Apple Watch from them. Two weeks in, watch died. Completely lifeless, wouldn't accept a charge. Sent it back using their packaging etc. They told me that the serial number on the watch didn't match the one they had sent me!?!? I only owned the one watch, bought from them and sent it back to them! They effectively accused me of fraud! Gets even worse. They then say they will send my watch back to me,....but they never have. This was a month ago now. I have no watch and they have not issued a refund. Their phone number no longer accepts calls, and every time you email, you get a brand new person "thanking you for for your email" and "it will get looked into etc". What they didn't quite have the guts to accuse me of was fraud. How they have acted is CRIMINAL. Do NOT take the risk with them. To receive some tech from them, it not to work and then them say serial numbers don't match "according to their spreadsheet" absolutely floored me. Just avoid them and their poor Admin and terrible customer services!

I tried selling a phone to them, quoted for a fully working Samsung Note 8 64gb. Whilst there is some colour fade, the phone is in excellent condition with no issues, and having been offered upwards of £165-£180 elsewhere I still went with music magpie at £180. Received an email today stating the phone LCD has SIGNIFICANT bleed, and is therefore faulty and revised the offer to £36. Told them to get lost, and will sell elsewhere for the same amount. Music Magpie - ripping off the consumer for fast money. No thank you!

SCAMMED ME Scammed me of my money , and still have not received it after 4 months. Did not pay me for my DVDS and ignored all my emails. Asked for all my bank details over and over as if they wanted to see all my details , even when I gave them my details, they still asked for pictures of my account. Do not trust this website under all circumstances.

Having sent my phone to this company I received an email stating there was a problem with it not being UK compatible even though I had been using and they would confiscate it. The phone is excellent in every respect as far as I am concerned. When I informed their Customer Care that as they had not paid anything it still belonged to me a person by the name pf Bilall said it would be returned by Royal Mail. A day later I get an email from another employee name of Ruby saying '...I afraid we cannot return your device...I am sorry for any disappointment caused by this.' Really!! Not sure if this is classified as theft on their part.

This Music Magpie is a scammy, lying company that go against their own information on their website and terms and conditions. They give replies that are lies at the very least. My story: I sold a samsung S10 with a cracked screen which according to their website is classed as POOR. Everything else worked great. (bear in mind I have video evidence of all this) I specified as POOR as per their website and sent it. They came back to me saying that they deemed it as faulty and revised the offer from £177 to £59. I copy and pasted their website on both faulty and poor with the same info I gave about the phone. Nowhere does it say about a cracked screen on the faulty definition as it only says about cracked screens on the poor definition of which I specified. They even practically accused me of being dishonest and specifying it wrongly, beside on their terms and conditions, it states that if items are wrong specified they are automatically rejected. Well at least that's what it said but it seems they have changed them now. If this is the case, why wasn't my phone automatically rejected. I also believe because of this pandemic and lockdown, they know people haven't got much money so these scammers are giving excuses to knock offers down, compelling people to accept because they need the money. This is classed as Fraud and obtaining goods under false pretenses. I do not believe this business to be honest and trustworthy so PLEASE stay away from this crummy outfit. I had to write this because I can't reply to their comment below. I will be exposing this Music Magpie for what it is, an untrustworthy company which would only good if it was closed down. Finally, I would not trust the reviews of this company on Trustpilot as some of them seem generic and false, not Trustpilot's fault. I'm sorry it was so long but this scam of a business needs to be closed down and the owner's Steve Oliver and Walter Gleeson need locking up as scammers. This is what happened to me and I have evidence to back it all up. Thank you.

Timewasters always cut the online offer price. Tried to sell my iPhone 8 Plus to them in good condition. They offered me £235 for the phone online then when they received the phone they cut the offer down to £141 quoting deep scratches as the reason. I don’t think they ever pay the online quoted price and offering £141 for an iPhone 8 Plus is quite frankly a joke. Would not use again and would not recommend. Go Mazuna the offer is Usually a bit less but at least they actually pay you what they quote.

Why i am not surprised to have received an email offering a lower amount than stated. My phone was in 'good' condition with only slight wear and tear for the age, a couple of light scuffs and for you to drop the offer from £30 to £18. Everything was in full working order, clean and a couple of slight scuffs, no screen damage, touch screen in still full working order fully operating but like I say not surprised as I bet it could have never been out of the box for you to have offered a revised offer. You can pay me out and I will NOT be using this company again and telling everyone to swerve you.... Joke.... best pay my £5 referral bonus on top of this

I ordered a 4CD set. One disc was missing. I started the returns process etc. Musicmagpie asked why I wanted a refund [?!?] and then 'emailed' me to ask for an 'email address' to send a returns label [ ?!? ] and then when I replied saying use the one I'm 'emailing' you on etc they asked the same question again. This is absurdly poor service and I shall not recommend them. Order number: 16-05294-04399 Item ID: 293471202686 Seller ID: musicmagpie Return ID: 5153436385

Don't bother. Sent me a faulty PS4 clearly untested. I went on chat and they didn't send me the transcript, then they lost the transcript. Now been on chat for an hour trying to confirm refund. I filed a complaint about the service with Music Magpie and when I was not happy with the response I asked what the next step was. I was told that there was nowhere else to go, no further escalation was possible within the company itself and that they are not regulated and neither is there an ombudsman. This is extremely dodgy and if you still want to use this company after reading this review then I must warn you that you are taking a big risk. There are so many other options out there for you, retailers that offer much better customer service with staff who actually take responsibility for their mistakes.

iPhone 7 purchase The phone received was supposed to be “Very Good” but was dirty, very worn and scratched. All the buttons were scratched to the point of bare metal showing beneath and I saw no evidence of refurbishment. I do not believe the phone fitted the description of being in “Very good” condition and do not believe it was worth the money charged. Customer Services took line of “take it or leave it”, so whilst not (hopefully) out of pocket have the inconvenience of trying to get out (COVID-19 restrictions in place) and send the thing back. I have no phone to give as promised present. - Really poor service!

Appalling service. I sent 4 orders which were all picked up at the same time. Apparently there was over 2 weeks between the first one arriving and the last. So don't believe their claims about paying quickly. Also 2 of my orders they reduced the amount without consultation. They also failed to respond to some of my emails chasing up my orders. Will never use them again
