awful company. Online value was £144, when I sent it to them it was in perfect condition, not a mark on it (I took pictures as evidence) and the contact me to offer £99 due to deep scratches. There was not one scratch on the phone at all. Their TV advert is so misleading, they do not want to pay the correct price and fully intend to offer less before you send the phone. I will be going to trading standards.

My payment was downgraded For my MacBook Pro because of lack of power supply. I could have understood if a) it has been asked for and b) the adjustment was for the cost of a new one. It was for ten times the amount of a new one. Looking for any excuse to downgrade hoping that you’ll just push sell. I agree with other comments to this effect.

needed to return 3 items but opera, edge and firefox browser clearly show no return buton, so cant even return it with a printed label. also android app 2020, march/april, also doesnt have a return button. i feel this is a dispickable move by magpie to help stop you returning items. you have to email them and well ill tell you what happensa there lol,.. Stay away if you want a retun option thats simple and up to date. hell you you even just want a return option. n still waiting to see whats happened.

I ordered an UNLOCKED Iphone, but received one that was locked to Vodafone. How RUBBISH is that? After correspondence (no ability to speak to anyone), I was advised either to send it back to get it unlocked, which could take several days, or to send it back for a refund and order another one - which would be quicker but which would involve me having to fork out another £400, before getting a refund for the first one. And the new one I would have to order is more expensive - nice one, Music Magpie!) So I have now sent it back(the refund had better come quickly) , as I need a new phone urgently, but have as yet heard nothing to follow up on my request for some consideration that the new phone would be more expensive. No sense of accommodating the customer due to a fairly major mistake on their part. I am now without a phone, which is a major problem given I need it for work, and is my main means of contact with family and friends (in these times of isolation). NOT IMPRESSED!!!!

Do not use to sell your old gadgets. I sent off my MacBook and two iPhones to cash in. Once they arrived at their wares house they drastically reduced the price and told me they were simply faulty. No explanation at all. So I opted to have the gadgets returned. My laptop was returned smashed and one of my iPhones was covered in scratches all over the screen like it had been kicked along the floor. I couldn’t believe it. When I questioned this with them they were abrupt in telling me that this must have happened in transit but I couldn’t claim any compensation. A few weeks later I bit the bullet and sent them off again just accepting the faulty price. 2 weeks later and nothing.... eventually I got in contact with a rude live chat assistant who told me only the phone had arrived and the MacBook didn’t. I couldn’t believe it! They were in the same box. Such an awful awful experience. Oh and by the way, they don’t have a contact telephone number. I wonder why! Complete scam.

Sent my iPhone to them in pristine condition after they valued it higher at £90 . They then offered me only £22 claiming it was already damaged (2 white spots on the screen) I know for a fact that it was in excellent condition . After I rejected their offer they returned the phone to me damaged. Basically my opinion is ; it’s a scam where if you don’t accept the reduced offer they damage the phone and send it back to you claiming this was the way the phone was before you sent it to them. Stay away from this company like the coronavirus! My advice would be to take a most recent picture of your phone before you send it to them. Otherwise you have no evidence to substantiate your claim. Also there is no proper helpline other than an email service so no kind of Customer Service to get to the bottom of what happened. A Stonewalled generic response from them .

In January I sent over 100 CDs and DVDs via Music Magpie's chosen courier (Hermes) to be sold. About 10 days after the goods were collected I followed up with the Customer Service team to query why I hadn't been paid yet. The response was that they couldn't chase the courier yet but they would follow up on my behalf. Nothing further happened on their part. Upon my recent follow-up email, I was advised that since my request was outside their 28 day period, nothing could be done. This means I have effectively donated the goods for free since I won't be getting paid now. Luckily it was only a very modest amount I was due to be paid so I'm not bothered financially. However, the fact remains that the service is extremely poor and if I had known what I know now, I would have simply donated the goods to one of my local charities instead. I won't ever use Music Magpie again or recommend it to anybody. They are beyond useless. DO NOT SELL ANYTHING TO THIS COMPANY.

1. They claim to be contactable by telephone; they have no customer service phone number. 2. What customer services say they will do (by email) is not adhered to. 3. Despite volunteering to refund on an item that was not as described, they switched to offering a replacement after I had bought an alternative on the basis of what they proposed.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Purchased a phone, as I needed it urgently for work, paying for the next day delivery. Phone was described as in 'good' condition, which was not the case - phone is covered in dents, and the whole surface is extremely scratched (description promised it'll be a scratch or two that's easy to cover with the protector). Phone also arrived broken - home button was stuck in, making phone impossible to use, and once again not meeting description of the product on the website. When got in touch with Customer Support, I was put through to the lad called 'Sam G.' who refused to help me and then his manager 'Jamie' refused to speak to me without giving me any reason. So not only, musicmagpie sells evidently broken phones, it also refuses to resolve any customer issues and managers are not bothered either.

no customer service phone line, you must contact them online. they dont automatically return your phone when they decide not to buy it, you have to contact them and request it ... scam , it causes the old phone to lose value in the weeks you spend trying to get it back

Almost 3 weeks since posting items and still no payment. Made an enquiry & then told certain items scanned and listed weren’t in the box, including a mobile phone. I checked & packed the box personally! On reflection I wish I had given it all to charity or sold as bulk on eBay. Never use this company again!
