Sent my iPhone to them in pristine condition after they valued it higher at £90 . They then offered me only £22 claiming it was already damaged (2 white spots on the screen) I know for a fact that it was in excellent condition . After I rejected their offer they returned the phone to me damaged. Basically my opinion is ; it’s a scam where if you don’t accept the reduced offer they damage the phone and send it back to you claiming this was the way the phone was before you sent it to them. Stay away from this company like the coronavirus! My advice would be to take a most recent picture of your phone before you send it to them. Otherwise you have no evidence to substantiate your claim. Also there is no proper helpline other than an email service so no kind of Customer Service to get to the bottom of what happened. A Stonewalled generic response from them .

In January I sent over 100 CDs and DVDs via Music Magpie's chosen courier (Hermes) to be sold. About 10 days after the goods were collected I followed up with the Customer Service team to query why I hadn't been paid yet. The response was that they couldn't chase the courier yet but they would follow up on my behalf. Nothing further happened on their part. Upon my recent follow-up email, I was advised that since my request was outside their 28 day period, nothing could be done. This means I have effectively donated the goods for free since I won't be getting paid now. Luckily it was only a very modest amount I was due to be paid so I'm not bothered financially. However, the fact remains that the service is extremely poor and if I had known what I know now, I would have simply donated the goods to one of my local charities instead. I won't ever use Music Magpie again or recommend it to anybody. They are beyond useless. DO NOT SELL ANYTHING TO THIS COMPANY.

1. They claim to be contactable by telephone; they have no customer service phone number. 2. What customer services say they will do (by email) is not adhered to. 3. Despite volunteering to refund on an item that was not as described, they switched to offering a replacement after I had bought an alternative on the basis of what they proposed.

Hi, bought Lenovo tablet 8 inch and 10 inch. Both of them returned. But there told me 10 inch Lenovo is serial number is don’t match. So there don’t wanted to return the items. The tablet is I bought from Magpies, I have receipts. I ‘m also returned on time . But no luck to return. So don’t buy from this Company. There don’t have customer contact number at all.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Purchased a phone, as I needed it urgently for work, paying for the next day delivery. Phone was described as in 'good' condition, which was not the case - phone is covered in dents, and the whole surface is extremely scratched (description promised it'll be a scratch or two that's easy to cover with the protector). Phone also arrived broken - home button was stuck in, making phone impossible to use, and once again not meeting description of the product on the website. When got in touch with Customer Support, I was put through to the lad called 'Sam G.' who refused to help me and then his manager 'Jamie' refused to speak to me without giving me any reason. So not only, musicmagpie sells evidently broken phones, it also refuses to resolve any customer issues and managers are not bothered either.

no customer service phone line, you must contact them online. they dont automatically return your phone when they decide not to buy it, you have to contact them and request it ... scam , it causes the old phone to lose value in the weeks you spend trying to get it back

Almost 3 weeks since posting items and still no payment. Made an enquiry & then told certain items scanned and listed weren’t in the box, including a mobile phone. I checked & packed the box personally! On reflection I wish I had given it all to charity or sold as bulk on eBay. Never use this company again!

Sent in a Galaxy S8 in excellent condition, expecting £140. I then received an email to say that the offer had been reduced to £25 as the phone case was bent and beyond repair. I asked for the phone back and it has been returned in the same perfect condition. I lodged a complaint, they asked for photos from the front and side, I included a straight edge to show there was no bend. The end result, they are right and I am mistaken, despite proving otherwise. I can only assume they were up to no good, hoping I would accept the lower offer.

Living proof of the sharp practice at Music Magpie when selling your phone. Reduced offer from £75 to £7 due to phone being ‘severely damaged etc’. Declined the offer. Received phone back today after kicking off. Arrived back as pristine as when I sent it, box intact etc. Nice try! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!

Shocking customer service. Bought Xbox One X and arrived without battery and cable for the controller. Contacted customer service and advised by 2 different people that it’s mistake on their behalf and they’ll send one ASAP. 7 days later I contact customer service only to be told that the order had been DECLINED as the Xbox One X was not supposed to have the battery and cable inside at first place - obviously nobody bothered to tell me that and the guy says that I should read the description better and although I was misinformed it’s my mistake! Beware as you’ll have to buy one yourself and the customer service is terrible!

shabby service. on their site it valued my phone at £26 so i sent it in. 4 days later i receive an email stating it isn't a model they would buy, so they are going to recycle it. if it isn't a model you would buy, then why does your site value it so? no option given to return it to me, just that they were going to recycle it appropriately.

Paid £95 for a “very good” condition iPhone SE, received the phone but checked Battery Health under general settings; this said 91% overall battery but the phone had experienced an unexpected shutdown (not good at all) Emailed CC who replied to say return the phone, I asked if they’d match the “pristine” condition price of the handset they said no, Thats why they’ve got 1 star. Clearly not doing the “90 different checks” it advertises. Sent phone back they received on Monday, then email today to say they’ve received and will investigate the phone within 3 working days, slow and slack. When companies do away with phone calls and insist on email only it just shows there probably fed up of dealing with customers, how is it quicker when it takes you a day to respond? Not even interested in your response tbh. Avoid.

MusicMagpie provided me with a faulty device, a Samsung S7 edge that wouldn't charge. They failed to fix it on two occasions and when I sent it back for a full refund they returned it to me requesting that I log out of the phone first (something I couldn't do because the phone had no charge!), they then took two months to return the phone to be logged out and when they did it still could not charge and I still could not log out. The warranty period has now expired and they are refusing to assist any further or to provide a refund despite their failure to provide a working device, fix that device or return the device in a timely manner, even though the fault was reported to them several times throughout the warranty period and I requested a refund 4 months before the warranty expired.
