Despite having emails to say that they had received my goods, I then had an email to say they hadn't recieved anything so weren't paying for anything. Turns out they did have my goods all along. Very poor service. Felt like they were trying to con me out of my money. Will not be using them again.

Over three months of numerous ‘chats’ and emails to MusicMagpieI I finally got my money refunded for a purchase I made in December 2018. The issue arose when the mobile phone I purchased from MusicMagpie for £265.49 was faulty. As a result, I returned the phone to them on 7th of October 2019. Which I then received an email to say “I’m pleased to inform you that we have successfully repaired the reported fault.” They had not and proceeded to send me a faulty iPhone with the home button not working- bizarrely the phone I sent back home button was working. So yet again I had to send the phone back. There was an attempt to pay the monies owed to me to a closed bank account on 29/12/2019 and from their point of view it was ‘Refunded’. Even though the money was returned immediately from the bank they did not believe me and I had to play a cat and mouse game every day to get contradicting answers about my money, Saying they had refunded me again, so I waited then contacted them to inform them they had not. They told me they couldn't refund it. Frustrating was not even the word. Customer service is awful, contradicting and sarcastic. For a cheap phone you get cheap service. Would not waste your money with this website. Phone becomes unusable within months, and is just a hassle to get your own money sent back to you. Perhaps they hope you will stop trying after hours a week of chasing it. I tried to complain and no response. Awful.

Absolutely disgusting customer service, they sold me an xbox 360 game that doesn't work, took pictures of the screen to show them that not even 5 minutes into the game it stops. Sent back for a refund, they now say they haven't received it back yet I have my proof of posting, sent them a picture of the receipt and guess what, no reply and no refund! And now I've just received a notification that the game I purchased has been relisted! Not happy at all, will never be using their company ever again. By the looks of the reviews I'm not the only one. Well over a month later and still not received my refund!

After getting an online valuation I sent the item then received an email informing me they were not prepared to pay for it but they will be recycling the item not returning it to me.

***DO NOT USE MUSIC MAGPIE*** Sent them a fully working iPhone in the original box which I had packed in a larger box with packaging paper, then they email me saying the phone is “bent beyond repair” and try and scam me out of £300. Joke of a company they just hope you can’t be bothered and accept the lower offer.

Feel robbed and let down ☹️. 1st time user, packed all my goods up, given a price, then all of a sudden a whole box goes missing! £70 pounds down.ruby at customer service was unhelpful, even contacted the MD to just get someone to just take a look for the missing goods but just robot answers. Money was to help reflective who's been shielding in lockdown. Feel let down and sick to my stomach a company this size has such a poor customer service and regard for users. Word of mouth travels fast, I'd avoid like the plague any goods could vanish without a trace!

Appalling service. I ordered a replacement phone and paid for next day 24 hour delivery. The item was ordered on Thursday for arrival on Friday. The RM tracking shows the parcel still at the northwest delivery centre, as I live in Somerset it is clear that it is not at the right place. Try to speak to customer service is appalling, they are not accepting calls, they do not answer requests and chat has a 10-15 minute queue. When you do finally get through on chat all you get is lame excuses and no help to solve the problem. If your reading this I advise you to avoid this company.

I returned my order on the 29th May, we are now on the 18th June and I have had no response and have not received my refund. I have messaged Music Magpie on 3 Separate occasions asking where my refund is and how long should this take, sadly no response...disappointed. Won’t be using them again.

Guys I would really avoid this service if selling a phone. They offer you a higher than average price but then pick tiny tiny faults & drastically reduce the price. I was quoted £340 and then sent in my perfectly functioning phone it’s says they allow wear and tear. They reduced my price to £90 for a tiny crack on the rear. However in the correspondence they said it was on the screen and that this was causing dead spots which is entirely untrue. The reviews on trust pilot don’t seem genuine either written by employees or friends of the company. They flag all the negative comments to get them removed and they only get reinstated once the reviewer provides all the email correspondence with the company which most people probably can’t be bothered too hence there are not many negative reviews. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS I sent an iPhone 8 64gb and was offered £192 the phone was in perfect condition with no scratches on the screen, I have photo evidence of the phone on day of posting, 1 week later I receive an email telling my they had revised the offer due to poor condition of the screen stating it has heavy scratches and now offered me £102. I emailed them and contacted them via social media and asked to speak to someone regarding it. No one has came back to me so I have now rejected the offer and I'm waiting for my phone to return. Avoid this company at all costs. I've always used mazuma mobile with no issues but chose these because of higher offer. I will send my phone to mazuma and will receive the £160 offered without them trying to con me. Avoid at all costs

Sent them a perfect condition MacBook Pro, Sat delivered at their warehouse for 7 days before being "logged in to their system" 20 minutes later another email received saying the screen was smashed and offering me £60, not the £363.00 original offer. Declined it and have had it retuned to me (so far the only part of the whole process that has worked as advertised!) MacBook has arrived back in perfect condition as sent, and has been sold for £150 more than they offered me originally on Facebook Market place. No replies to any email complaints sent to them. Will avoid in the future.

Sent my phone in perfect condition. They offered £303 did the testing and said It had heavy damage to the casing and they reviewed the offer and offered £83.00 for an iPhone X. A complete insult and farce having to now wait for it to be sent back to me.

Embarrassingly bad pick up service. My first attempt at using musicMagpie was absolutely rubbish. I got a fair valuation for some games and film etc. Selected the courier pick up option for next day. (sadly Hermes). Note, This is promised as anywhere between 8am and 8pm ! Kept an eye out all day. No pickup! Email to customer service gets a reply (a day and a half later) “ok when would like it picked up then?’ My response ‘tomorrow”. Next reply, a day later, was ‘no, we need 24 hours notice, our next available slot is in 4 days’ (including weekend) (!!!) I begrudgingly accepted and this was confirmed. Guess what, same again, no pickup! Follow up email still hasn’t been answered in 48 hours... Absolutely useless, we can blame Hermes, maybe, either way, musicMagpie are not to be trusted!

i recently ordered some books from musicmagpie, to make lockdown more bearable. One of the books i was sent was covered in blood. Now, this isnt great at the best of times, however, during a pandemic; i feel like this would warrant more than just a standard form response. Since music magpie dont have a customer service number, everything has had to be done by email. I have been corresponding with them all day, getting standard response after standard response. They have refunded me for the book and offered me 30% off my next order (which again may or may not be covered in Biohazard and/or people parts). They have also asked me to 'dispose of book'. Meaning, i'm without the book i ordered, but i at least get 30% off if i want to roll the dice and place another order with them. I've been offered no compensation or vouchers for being sent a book covered in blood that could be infected with Coronavirus, during the middle of a pandemic I decided i wasnt happy with this resolution, and asked which ombudsman they answer to, so i can lodge a formal complaint. I have now asked 5 times which ombudsman they answer to, and they are refusing to tell me, saying that they have escalated this issue internally.

Sounds like a con to me ! I sent a perfectly working iPhone XR only 1 year old in bubble wrap and in the original box. Offered went from £340 all the way down to £90 because apparently the screen is completely cracked/ smashed. This seems highly unlikely to have happened in transit as it was in bubble wrap, the Apple box and in a padded envelope!
