I sent my iPhone to them once my contract was completed and I had upgraded to the newest model. My phone was in perfect condition when I sent it, wrapped in tissue paper in an iPhone box in a padded bag. I then received an email with a revised offer for £20. Knowing that the phone had no issues I requested that it was sent back to me. Upon opening the box I can see that the screen protector has been removed and the screen badly damaged, I now have a damaged phone which is worth nothing and receiving absolutely appalling customer service from the conpany

Hello Aimee, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When your device was received and tested, it was found that the item had a pixel fault which meant the device was faulty rather than being in the good condition as originally stated. Because of this, the item was regraded and a revised offer was made, which was declined. This meant the item was returned to you free of charge. We requested images of the device prior to sending to determine whether the damage had occurred in transit, but these were not provided. The information for our complaints department has been shared with you through email, should you wish to raise a complaint. Kind regards, mM CS

Hello Ami, We're sorry to learn your experience was not as positive as we'd have hoped. Having looked into your order, we can see that your item was returned to us with a number of cracks which would void the warranty, but the battery of the device was replaced. We have explained this via email - most recently on 5/9/18. Should you need any further assistance, please get in touch with our customer services team so they can help you. Kind regards, mM CS

CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS REF: MC759633 J ORDER ID: 4802166 I sent an immaculate iMac for sale £230. Received an email offering me £44 due to a damaged case. When I queried the damage I was sent pictures of a bent up computer. And asked to prove it wasn’t damaged in that way when I sent it. I had pictures of the basics (screen / keyboard / mouse / packaging etc..) however none of the metal back. Therefore claim was refused. I have had the item returned however the mouse was not included and I am now left with a knackered computer and no compensation. Absolutely disgusting that they have done this and had the cheek to relinquish any responsibility. I didn’t bother with eBay as it this seemed like less hassle, however I couldn’t have been more wrong. I wish I had read some of the reviewers here first. My advice would be to avoid at all costs, however if you insist on using them, ensure you photograph absolutely everything, even the unimaginable damage, as I am sure they will come up with new ways to vandalise people’s goods to get a better price.

Phone was sent to them in perfect condition andni have the photos to prove it. They got in touch saying that magically the phone would not charge becauze the charger was damaged. It was not when it was sent to them. They refused to acknowledge fault and wanted me to accept a deal of 10 pounds for a phone they had originally quoted was worth 110. I did not accept ofcourse and when phone was returned indeed the charging port had been tampered with.

Most awful company ive dealt with. website states next day payment, after three weeks of chasing its finally been processed. they lost my ipad and then found it in the warehouse. they broke the sim tray on my iPhone and sent it back as damaged. they sent back my kindle fire saying it had heavy scratching - there wasn't a single scratch on it. Rip off merchants, out to get what they can by making up issues and hoping youll go along with it for ease. will never ever use again.

Avoid at all cost!!!! Would give zero stars if possible!!! Sent in an Iphone 6s in good condition and was quoted £136 pound - MM obviously revised their offer stating the phone had a cracked screen (it has a small crack at the bottom of the phone - not on the screen) They asked if it was in good condition - not excellent condition!!! Offered me £22 for the phone!!! Obviously declined!!! Second item I sent to them was a MacBook Pro - sent to them in good faith - item in good working condition, etc - received email to say I sent them a product they do not sell and that they will have to recycle my MacBook Pro as they cannot return it to me!!!!!!! That is theft and I will not leave it at that!!!!!!! Avoid at all cost - scammers that lure you with offers and end up wanting to pay you pennies for your products!!!! Very unhappy customer - wish I had read reviews before using MM. Again - how can they tell me they are going to recycle my MacBook Pro???? Disgusted and disappointed!!!! Think Rip-Off Britain will be contacted regarding this company!!!

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. Having looked into your order, we can see that the iPhone 6s in your order was originally listed as being in good condition yet upon testing it was found to be faulty. This is due to cracks in the screen. Our technicians noted a crack along the top of the screen, close to the front facing camera, as well as a crack along the right hand side of the device. Aside from those cracks, there is damage to the casing of the device, as dents and chunks have been taken out in the corner of the item. Please note, we have a grading system of three grades: good condition, poor condition or faulty. 'Excellent' condition is not listed on our site, yet good condition clearly states light wear and tear can be accepted. Cracked screens goes beyond this, and what we can accept for a poor condition device. The price we offered reflected the price we're offering for a faulty iPhone 6s at this moment. In regards to the Macbook in the order, you listed the item as: MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.2 15-Inch (2007) whereas the item we received is MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.16 15-Inch (2006). This is an item we aren't accepting and is not listed on our site for this reason. As we aren't accepting it, we could not give you a price for it. A request has been put in with our technicians so the device can be returned to you. Kind regards, mM CS

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When your order was received and tested, it was found that the iPhone was locked to an iCloud account. We ask that this is removed prior to sending as it can slow the process down. The item was marked for a retest on 1/8/18, the unlock was successful and our technicians regraded the device to poor condition from good condition due to heavy scratches. The revised offer was accepted on 3/8/18 after 4pm, so payment could not be authorised the same day. The payment was then authorised on 6/8/18, the next working day as per our terms and conditions. Having looked into your order and account, we could not locate any emails from the email address provided. Can you please confirm which email address you had written to? Kind regards, mM CS

Really disappointed as I wasn’t aware two orders could not be sent in the same box, the box was then lost by the courier, and I only received the lower amount of the two orders, so I’m £25 out of pocket. Be warned....do not send two orders in the same box!

Hello Julie, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When orders are confirmed, we provide welcome packs with the relevant labels and information regarding sending your items to us. Each separate order will have its own label and tracking, which is required to claim in the event of a parcel going missing. As both orders were in one box, we could not claim for the orders individually. As a claim was raised for order 4732583 with the relevant receipt, this is the order we paid out. Kind regards, mM CS

Nothing short of a rip off really. Offered me £165 for iPhone 6s. Sent it and then offered £85 due to scratches. I asked for phone back. There’s no scratches on it what so ever. Must get so many people just accepting the lower price. Wouldn’t use them again. Hey

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. Having looked into your order, we can see that your item was revised from good condition to poor condition due to heavy scratches and casing damage. Our technicians notes scratches on the screen of the device - notably one close to the home button. Alongside the scratches on the screen, there are some scuffs or dents on the top of the phone as well as dents and a chunk taken out of the casing near the bottom, close to the headphone jack. This kind of damage meant the phone was in poor condition so the item was regraded and a revised offer was made. As the revised offer was declined, the item was returned to you free of charge. Kind regards, mM CS

Sent 2 orders in one box to be told this isn’t possible, then paid the lower order amount of £7 instead of the higher order of £22+! It’s disgraceful and will strongly recommend people take caution if they use music magpie!

Hello Julie, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. We do not recommend sending multiple orders into one box as it can cause delays in processing - we advise sending each order in their own box. As multiple orders were sent in one box, we cannot account for them separately. A claim was raised for your order as we had the relevant information for it. Kind regards, mM CS

I decided to use MusicMagpie to sell a large bulk of DVD's I had collected over the years. Based on their customer reviews and their advertisement, the process looked to be quick and straightforward. How wrong I was. After scanning, boxing and sending around 180 DVD's to MusicMagpie I eagerly awaited notification that the items had been received. 6 months down the line and a few ignored emails later, nothing. After deciding that 6 months is long enough to wait I called MuicMagpie's customer service. The lady on the phone seemed nice enough at first as I explained to her the situation. After a few minutes, she put me on hold so that she could speak to her superior. When she came back something had changed. She became rude and snappy. She told me that 120 of the 180 DVD's I'd sent 6 months ago "never reached" them and that they could only pay me for the 60 or so that they "definitely had received". Lacking the time or the effort to argue for the sake of £15 or so (out of the £24 I was quoted for 180 DVD's), I accepted the (undisclosed) payment they "definitely" could pay me which would be in my bank "within 2 days" and left it at that. 2 weeks later, am yet to receive payment for the 60 of 180 DVD's I had originally sent to MusicMagpie, with the other 120 still mysteriously missing? To conclude, I am disgusted with the quality of service offered by MusicMagpie. Ignorance to emails, rude over the phone and to be frank, they have robbed me blind. I will never use MusicMagpie again and most certainly will not be recommending to a friend.

Hello Ben, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. Having looked into your order, we can see that it was originally created in December 2017. We received a small amount of items in your order, but the vast majority of it did not reach us. This would indicate that a parcel, or a number of parcels, have been lost in transit to our warehouse. Should this situation arise, the customer would need to notify us to begin the claim procedure. To make a claim for a lost parcel that has been sent through Hermes, we have to be notified within a 28 day period as is their time frame, along with the receipt for the collection. Outside of the 28 day window, there is nothing more we can do. We state this in our terms and conditions: 14.3 You must notify us in writing of any loss or damage, giving rise to a claim within twenty-eight (28) days of the date on which your Package was accepted by the Pass my Parcel or Hermes ParcelShop, Post Office or MyHermes as applicable (the date of which will be shown on your returns receipt). We apologise that the payment for the items we have received have not reached you. The amount for the items we did receive is £5.15. This will be raised to ensure it is paid. Looking into your order and on our database, we could not find any emails from the email account you have provided. Can you please confirm which email address you had contacted? Kind regards, mM CS

What an absolute disgrace. I sent a phone, a ps3 and some games. Supposed to be same day payment. Delivered on the Thursday morning, nothing happens until Friday. Obviously not same day. First they say there were scratches on the screen (there were no scratches and it had a screen protector on at all times and in a wallet case) and took £50 off the value. Then when I begrudgingly accepted nothing happened for 4 days so I went on chat and was asked if I sent the PS3. Yes I did, well apparently they have lost it (I do not believe a word of that) and they would now need to start an investigation which will take 48 hours. Called up to speak to a manager, apparently their managers are mutes who cannot take calls, but was told nothing I could do and wait for the investigation. After some back and forth, he spoke to his mute manager to must have used smoke signals to say he will bypass the investigation and make payment. No email or anything to say they could not locate the PS3 and they just do not give a damn. Scamming company. I would rather throw the lot in the river than deals with these charlatans again. -100 stars would be too good for these idiots.

Hello Paul, We're sorry to learn your experience was not as positive as we'd have hoped. Having looked into your order, we can see that your items arrived with us on 13/7/18 - a Friday - and we emailed you to let you know we received your items. As your order was not complete on the Friday, we could not issue payment. The Galaxy S6 in your order was originally listed as being in good condition, yet upon testing it was found that this was not the case. Due to heavy scratches on the screen of the device, the item was regraded to poor condition and a revised offer was made. As per your chat conversation, our agent advised that if you decline the revised offer the item would be returned to you free of charge. As you accepted the offer, payment would be issued instead. As per your chat, our agent did not state that the PS3 in the order was lost - they reiterated that it had not been scanned. This issue was then raised with our tech department to ensure the issue could be looked into further. Your console was located and tested, and found to be in the condition originally listed on the order. We'll email you when payment has been authorised. Please note that payment can take one working day to clear. Kind regards, mM CS
