Hello Dawn, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When the returned item was received, liquid damage was found which was not present when the device was sent out. We have emailed you an image to show the damage to the item. The warranty we offer would not cover accidental damage or liquid damage such as this, so we're unable to repair or replace the item. Kind regards, mM CS

Sent my phone that ove had 3 months brand new, no cracks scratches butrns and was quoted £315 i then got an email saying the phone was faulty and they were only going to pay £94 due to large screen burn - i requested the phone back to recieve it in the same condition NO MARKS OR BURNS - trying to scam me out of money!! Disgusting.. a friend of mine recently bought a phone in good condition - it came with no earphones no charger and a screen protecter half the size of the phone! Definitely not worth the money she spent!! Bad company, can even respond to multiple emails

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not as positive as we'd have hoped. Having looked into your order, we can see that your item could not be accepted as being in good condition due to the screen burn on the device - specifically, the keyboard is burning on the screen. We list screen burn as a faulty specification on our site. For clarity, a screen burn is where you can see a faint outline of something that was once on the screen - such as an icon, the time, or lines - showing mainly on clear white screen. Whilst this does not necessarily affect the functionality of the device, it is classified under our ‘Faulty’ specifications. As this is a fault with the LCD we are not able to offer a higher price than offered for this order. When a device is regraded, a revised offer is made to reflect this change. As the revised offer was declined, the item was returned to you on 9/3/18. Kind regards, mM CS

DO NOT BUY FROM MUSIC MAGPIE!!, A one year warranty was given to refurbished mobile, but if your phone stops working before the end of the warranty, they come up with any excuse not to fix and replace the mobile. Really bad customer service too which makes it worse.

Awful company who's only intention is to fleece you, I sent them a Samsung Galaxy tablet and galaxy phone, along with various other cheaper items. They came back to me with a revised price a fraction of what they originally offered me for both saying the tablet was faulty and bent and that the phone wasn't as described and was damaged . Now if I hadn't been working in international Art shipping for the past 4 years, and I hadn't packed million pound paintings and sculptures well enough to survive car accidents and drops from heights I may have believed them. Very convenient how it was the two most expensive item's in a group of 40 pieces that they have an issue with. Needless to say I declined their offer and will hopefully get my items back.

Hello Nathan, We're sorry to learn your experience was not as positive as we'd have hoped. Having looked into order 4247123, we can see that the price offered for your Galaxy S5 Mini was changed due to the fact your order was completed in October 2017 yet the item wasn't received until February 2018. Tech offers are valid for 14 days; when items are received outside of this time frame, the offer is likely to change. As the revised offer was accepted, payment was issued for the item. For the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 P5210 Wi-Fi, when tested it was found that the casing of the item was bent, rendering the item faulty. Your item was regraded as faulty and a revised offer was made. As the revised offer was rejected, the item was returned to you free of charge. Kind regards, mM CS

I sent two products back to Music Magpie I received the money from one item but not the more expensive PS3 with games. I sent both parcels back and got receipts from the shop that had a Pass my Parcel service. I tracked both parcels on the Pass my Parcel web site. I could se both parcels had been delivered. I received the money for the Nintendo Wii but not the PS3. I sent an email explaining the situation I got a response saying the tracking number was no longer on their system. I followed the complaints procedure and have heard nothing. Please be aware if you send your items through this service even though you have a receipt of postage you may not get your money. Terrible company.

Only received part payment and after phone call said you would pay difference. Didn't receive it rung again and told payment on its way takes up to 7 days! Got an email sayIng wouldn't pay as items not received! Rung again and eventually got payment. I sent 3 boxes for which I had receipts but it would appear only 3 received! Will never use Music Magpie again.

Hello June, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When your orders were received, a number of items were missing which altered the final payment. As you'd gotten in touch with us and said they had been sent in, we issued payment for the downfall. This payment was authorised on 14/2, due to clear the next working day. Kind regards, mM CS

Quick delivery, cheap product and plenty of options. Would give five stars but on separate order, they didn't bother informing me they couldn't find item, despite two weeks' delay and have provided no way of refunding the value of a product they are essentially residing to ever ship to me. Daylight robbery!

Poor customer service, traded in an immaculate iphone 6, ensured it was very well packaged, musicmagpie contacted me saying the screen was cracked, reduced my offer, i declined, they returned my phone with a new crack on the screen and without my charger, emailed them, they sent cable, no plug, had to email again only to be told they had sent it for recyle!!!! My phone has now lost value due to them wasting time. what a tin can company!!!!

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When you search for the item you want to sell, such as an iPhone 6, we state the following on our site: Don’t have a charger, accessories or the original box? Don’t worry: we’ll still buy your phone and the price won’t be affected! So a charger is not essential for sale, and we don't ask for accessories. When your item was received and tested, a crack was found on the screen of the device. A crack goes beyond the light wear and tear of a good condition item, and is in fact a fault. Because of this, the item was regraded and a revised offer was made. As the offer was rejected, the device was returned to you free of charge. We apologise that the charger was not returned to you but additional accessories are often recycled as they are not essential for sale. Kind regards, mM CS

After thinking this would have been less hassle than selling my iPad through other means I was sadly proved wrong. My iPad was in good condition and sent wrapped as per instructions in original packaging complete with charger. I initially received an email saying they had received it but the product was locked. I then promptly followed the instruction to unlock the device and confirmed to music magpie this had been done. I then much to my dismay received a further email saying the screen was cracked and they would now give me £15. Conveniently for them they did not advice to take pictures before I sent the device so I cannot prove the crack ( if there actually is one) was not present before. If you’re thinking of using them to trade in any of your possessions I would reconsider as this experience has been a waste of time and effort.

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not as positive as we'd have hoped. When your device was tested, once unlocked, a crack was found on the screen of the device, close to the home button. A cracked screen is clearly listed in the faulty specifications for the item: Damaged ports or faulty / cracked / bleeding screen As the revised offer was rejected, the device was returned to you, free of charge. Kind regards, mM CS

Hello Rosemary, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When a fault develops with a device bought from our store, and is within the 12 month warranty, the item needs to be returned to us so this can be looked into. We received your returned item on 29/1, with the fault being repaired the following day. We dispatched your device on 30/1 and the returned item was signed for on 3/2. Kind regards, mM CS

Hello Kath, We're sorry to learn your experience was not as positive as we'd have hoped. Having looked into your order, we can see that you listed a Galaxy Ace 3 in good condition, which we were offering £10.10 for. The device we received was a Galaxy Ace 2 which was faulty as the device would not power up. We regraded the item and the revised offer was accepted. Also listed in your order was a Galaxy Ace 4 in good condition whereas we received a S6810 Galaxy Fame in good condition. The price we were offering for the item we received was £1.40, as opposed to the £16.10 for the Ace 4. The revised offer was also accepted. The final item in your order was listed as a Xperia L1. This again was not what was received - the last time was a Xperia T which was faulty. It was found to be faulty due to the broken back panel and the pressure marks on the screen of the device. The revised offer was accepted. As all of the items weren't as listed, and the conditions had changed for some of the devices, this meant the price offered was altered from £41.20 to £3.11. Kind regards, mM CS

Hello Sandra, We're sorry to learn your experience was not as positive as we'd have hoped. Your order was created for an iPhone 5s (16gb) Vodafone and iPhone 6s (16gb) Vodafone. These are not the devices we received; when your order was received, it contained an iPhone 4s and an iPhone 6. When the iPhone 6 was tested, liquid damage was found to the screen of the device alongside a number of heavy scratches. This damage meant the item could not be accepted as being in good condition as it was in poor condition. The 4s was found to be in poor condition due to heavy scratches to the screen. Both items were regraded and a revised offer was made. These offers reflected what we were offering at the time of receipt. As both offers were declined, both items were returned to you free of charge, as per our price promise. Kind regards, mM CS

I sent my phone with USB charger cable and charger to musicmagpie after an agreed sale. My phone failed a quality assessment due to screen burn. Seems a common problem they find. They returned my phone without it’s USB cable and charger and also setup a password on my phone. I now can’t access my phone and they won’t give me the password.

Hello Kevin, We're sorry to learn your experience was not as positive as we'd have hoped. As we do not ask for chargers when selling phones, but only the device, chargers are often recycled upon receipt. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes. A password should not have been set up on your phone when it was tested - if this has been the case, we apologise. As explained via email, the device can be returned to us so this lock can be rectified. Kind regards, mM CS
