Wasted 2 full days in 2 weeks waiting for non-existant courier to pick up a parcel. Not so much as a text to let me know that there will be no collection.

Revised offer for phone saying casing damaged.it was as new since protected from day 1 £ 125 became £37.50. I gather this is not uncommon.hopefully going to get it back as I sent it.

Placed an order for a phone with 24hr delivery however I was kept waiting for 7 days until it arrived. Was not really given assistance when I telephoned, I was told to contact Royal Mail by telephone myself

I sent them my iPhone 6s with the promise that they would give me £219 if it was in GOOD CONDITION! It has never been used out of a case (I even have a couple of cases for it that were never used), has had a brand new battery fitted by Apple this year under the "battery replacement program" Apple ran for this and later models, and was in perfect working order when I swapped the SIM card to my new iPhone X. I packed it up, sent it off and got an email telling me the proximity sensor wasn't working, and as such they could only offer me £90 for my mint condition phone. I declined immediately - I wanted to contact them and give them a rocket, but they had my phone, so I bit my tongue! I waited a week to receive my phone back. It arrived today and I set it up again, called my wife's phone and guess what? It works perfectly! The proximity sensor detected my face and turned off the display as soon as I put it to my ear. They must think everyone that offers them a phone must be either an idiot or desperate for any amount of cash. I am neither of those things ...it's their loss, and they deserve the mauling they get in this review.

TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME. I bought a Samsung Galaxy 8+ smart phone for 459.95 , phone arrived , with no charger or original samsung cable. PROBLEM BEEN , that the fast charge features of the Samsung s8+ will only work with the official charger !!!!!!!!!

They are useless they try to pay us less than they quote that take way longer than they state and tell you there is something wrong with your item when it's brand new avoid at all cost

Perhaps I am the exception as I've seen all the positive reviews. I bought a phone in 'good' condition having seen one my daughter bought from them recently. The phone I received had many dents around the edge and was scratched and rather dirty to be honest. I needed the phone urgently and waited in especially for the delivery. I told Music Magpie all of this but just received a 'standard' response saying they didn't have a replacement and I'd receive a refund. There was no offer to make up for the poor service or inconvenience. I held off writing a review to see if they would put matters right but they have not.

Recently sent a LGK8 to music magpie and was offered £17.00. The phone was working well and I used it a few days before I sent it. A few days later, music magpie emailed to tell me that the SIM port was faulty, and reduced my offer to £1.70. I rang to in to query this, since the phone was working before, and they said my only option was to accept or decline the offer. Declined, and guess what? I have just received my phone back in full working order, as I sent it. I put my Tesco Mobile SIM back in, sent a text and made a phone call. I called customer services again and they still refused to reconsider the offer or apologise for their error. Neither staff members even deviated from their script to listen to my problem, nor were they able to suggest any solutions. Do not send your phone here. They will hook you in with a good price and then knock it down.

Horrible experience. Paid for an item, only after 4 days they let me know the will cancel the order, with two different emails, one saying "It appears that this has occurred in this instance and your order was placed immediately after that of another customer" and the other saying the item "has failed the final quality inspection". They will give me the money back in maybe a week they say. They make free use of my money, and maybe others, without any sort of compensation, and giving excuses away for bad service

Was offered £135 each for 2 x galaxy s6 edge 64gb phones.when magpie received them they offered £40 for one of them and £80 for the other saying one had heavy scratches and the other had screen burn and was faulty.both phones were in perfect working order and one had MINOR scratches on the side casing.WHAT A FARCE!!!!would not recommend magpie go anyone as they want your phone for nothing and then to sell on at a ridiculous profit!!BEWARE!!!!!!!ì

I sent my just under two year old Samsung Edge 6 Plus which was in perfect condition and as new to them after the more than generous quote for £161.00, which seemed too good to be true. It was, they then reported it had screen damage and offered £40. So at some point it either arrived damaged by their courier or dropped on their warehouse floor. So now I have a broken worthless phone. A complete rip off.

Hello Lisa, We're sorry to learn you were unhappy with the service you have received. Having looked into your order, we can see that the two devices were regraded from good condition to faulty. The Samsung Galaxy S6 was found to be faulty due to a cracked screen, whereas the iPhone 5s was regraded due to screen burn. Had both of these revised offers been declined, the items would have been returned to you free of charge - as they were accepted, payment was issued for both devices. Kind regards, mM CS

Purchased Iphone - was faulty. Was advised to return it - I posted it back to them. They are unable to trace this and so I have now lost out on a phone and money!!!! They have failed to provide me details of complaints department and royal mail service. Do not use - extremely unhappy with the service provided!!

Diabolical. My phone has been well looked after. Not a mark on it. Offered 113.00. Then I got the joke email stating it was damaged. Phoned and some bloke said it was bent and worth 11.00 quid. Funny isnt it bloke at carphone warehouse commented on how well looked after is was but couldnt trade as there card machines have been updated and the software for trade ins wasn't working. Beware

Hello Tracey, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. As mentioned, upon testing your device it was found the item was bent meaning the item was regraded to faulty condition. Following your conversation with one of our agents on 13/10, an image of your device was sent to you via email to show the damage to the item. As the revised offer was rejected, the item was returned to you free of charge. Kind regards, mM CS

Sent my mobile to Music Magpie in very good working condition, they contacted me and offered 10% of original amount saying phones screen was damaged. I declined offer and they returned a phone to me. I do not believe the phone returned was my phone as mine had been kept in a case and had no damage at all to back or sides the hone returned to me has. I can see no problem with screen. Not happy

Hello Jane, We're sorry to learn you aren't happy with the service you received. When your device was received and tested, it was found that the screen was lifted, which meant the item was in faulty condition as opposed to good condition, hence the drop in price. We can assure you that the device you received is your own. Kind regards, mM CS
