I sent them two items: The first item one of their 'most experienced' engineers was unable to turn on?! After providing evidence that it had worked fine at home they granted me a re-test... the device powered on fine. Second item was re-valued after it was 'unable to connect to Wifi'. When I queried this they told me they couldn't turn the Wifi on. I asked which one they meant but after around 3 seperate attempts over the course of a month they failed to get back to me each time. They eventually offered to return the device rather than get a response from their tech department.

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. Cheques were sent for your sending orders on 06/01/2017 and 18/01/2017. Kind regards, mM CS

Sent them a working iPhone 5s for sale. Received an email from them titled "Your item is not as specified. Please view our Revised Offer". They claimed the reason to be "Screen - green frame around LCD more than 1 cm" and so the offer was reduced to £19.50. Needless to say the phone (and screen) was fine when I sent it to them. I instructed them to return the phone - I'd sooner throw it away than give it to them!

Be very careful selling your stuff to this scam company. I've had good experiences but one time I sent a game with a accessory and it was rejected. The game and cable was worth £30+ online and music magpie said they'd pay £15, except they rejected it due to damaged artwork. When I posted it the artwork was very good only minor wear and tear which to be expected from a cardboard box as opposed to a plastic one. I will not be using again.

I sent a phone in excellent condition. Nightmare tracking the delivery of it. When they eventually received it, they dropped the original quote by £50! They are alleging the phone is in poor condition despite it never having been out of it's case, Declined the offer so now I'm waiting for this awful outfit to return it. Check out their phone buying reviews on trustpilot where you will see this is a common trick they try. Most of their reviews are left by people buying CD's for £2!

Hello Eddy, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When your item was received and tested, it was found that the item was not in good condition as originally listed, but rather poor condition. This is due to casing damage on the phone - a number of scuffs and scrapes were noted, which goes beyond the light wear and tear of a good condition device. We received an offensive response via email in regards to the regraded item. Offensive language will not be tolerated. The device was returned to you on 30/12. Kind regards, mM CS

continuous miscommunication between the courier and music magpie. failed to turn up to pick up my stuff entirely on one occasion. upon receiving my goods took an extra day to process despite claiming same day payment and then ammending my offer once processing. samsung galaxy valued at one hundred and ninety pounds by music magpie- phone in perfect working order. as they receive it claim 'poor' condition and offer me one hundred and fifteen pounds. two weeks after starting this process i am left to now wait until they can be bothered to send it back to me. Really really appauling

Hello Tom, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. We apologise for the issues raised with the courier; we have listened to customer feedback on the courier service and removed this option due to a percentage of collections failing. The device in your order was regraded from good condition to poor due to discolouration to the screen. As the revised offer was rejected, the item was returned to you free of charge on 20/12, a day after the offer was rejected. Kind regards, mM CS

Music magpie sent the wrong CD again and refused to send a replacement despite it still being advertised on their website. Not happy with response from customer services and won't be using this company ever again!

Sent immaculate iPhone 6 with no marks as had screen protector on. Was advised poor condition and heavy scratches which was completely untrue with greatly reduced offer price. Refused and phone returned with big scratch across screen which wasn’t there when sent. Absolute scammers will never use again and will ensure as many as possible aware of their underhand scheme. Rang them and completely disinterested. Disgusted - only gave one star as unable to give zero.

Hello Glyn, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. Upon testing, a large scratch was found on the screen of the device, meaning the item could not be accepted as being in good condition. As this is how the item was received, we must assume this is how the item was sent. We would require images of the item prior to sending to look into this issue further. Kind regards, mM CS

It was 3 times now I was waiting for my parcel to be picked up. What a waste of time as they need picking up by Christmas.

Hello Adam, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. Upon testing your device, the camera was found to be faulty - a purple tint was found on the test images. As the camera isn't functioning as it should, this meant the item could not be accepted as being in good condition. The item was regraded and a revised offer was made. As the revised offer was declined, the item was returned to you free of charge. Kind regards, mM CS

Sent my perfect iphone-5s in for £79 only to be told it was found to be faulty and offered £29. I'd been using the phone with no problems up 'til the day I sent it in. I didn't use ebay as I've been turned over by buyers and figured MM was a safe option. Lesson learned!

Hello Ian, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. When your device was received and tested, a green frame was found on the screen of the device. As this is a fault with the LCD of the phone, we cannot offer a higher price for the item. As the revised offer was rejected, the item was returned to you free of charge. Kind regards, mM CS

I sent 3 phones into Music Magpie and was offered considerably lower than quoted. 2 iPhone 6's and a Samsung Galaxy Note. They said that the Note had a badly damaged case (not true), they said that one of the iPhones was "slightly bent" so offered over £100 less, then the other iPhone they said wasn't with the network stated so again offered less. Well, the 2 iPhones were purchased at the same time from the same EE shop so how can this be. VERY disappointed and will never use again!

I purchased Samsung s6 edge on 30 October 2017, received my order on 1st November, but the handset did not meet the standard as described, because it has phantom pressing issue. I returned the phone on the 4th of November using their return label. I got confirmation email from music magpie saying that the device is locked to Samsung. After I showed evidence of wiping off Samsung account and making a complaint through Resolver. Their latest excuse for not refunding my £279.99 is that the handset is locked to my google account which is untrue. I never put any sim card inside the phone. Today is 30 November 2017 still waiting for my refund. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM MUSIC MAGPIE. This is too much money to loose for an unemployed disabled person like me.

When I entered the ISBN numbers of my books into the MusicMagpie website, I was quoted £11.33, plus 10% more with a code. However you only paid me £3.71 for the books I sent in. I've contacted enquiries@musicmagpie.co.uk twice, asking why I'd been paid so much less than I was quoted but no one has replied or acknowledged my emails. What a disappointing service.

Do not send your items to them. I sent a mobike phone and they came back to me saying they had checked my phone on checkMEND and came up as red flag. As a consequence of that they said they could not send my device back or make any payments and were legally required to dispose of the device . They advised me to talk to CheckMEND to get the red flag removed. They referred me to their site which charged me £1.99 to run a check which resulted all clear. Musicmagpie must be getting a referreral fee from CheckMEND . I'm still waiting for a response from Musicmagpie. Such an unprofessional company. I advise you not to send them your items as you won't get a payment and they won't return them to you.

Would give it 0 if I could. Sent off 2 phones in good condition. They reduced the price on both, one due to heavy scratches and one due to the touch screen not working. I rejected both new offers and asked for both phones to be returned. Received them back today and surprise surprise the touch screen does work and the scratches are minor. They are just trying to con people and hope you accept the lower offer. Don't waste your time.

iv bought three phones from your site, the first one was sold to me as good condition and when it went faulty i sent it back and you replaced it under warranty i didnt touch the replacement and i sold it back to you however the day i received it, however you now consider this phone as poor condition, how does this happen to an untouched phone, you send it me as good condition and then i sell it you its then considered poor condition. seems like a bit of a con to me, also in the meantime i upgraded and bought a second phone from you this was considered good condition but then it arrived it was very poor condition and even faulty so i had to send that back, i then bought a third phone from you which can you guess, its now faulty and i need to send this one back.

We sent it back over a month ago with musicmagpie keep saying we're logged in and they can't test it . The Apple store confirmed were logged out and still no refund of our 249.00 ! Next step solictites now! Please avoid these people at all costs unless you have 250.00 to loose and vasts amount if time fighting for your money back when they have clearly ( with proof I might add ) that they received their product back. And thank goodness we have photo evidence and the Apple store confirmation it was faulty.
