“My tags had been missing for a couple of years. Couldn't find them in my truck. Someone needed them bad enough to "borrow" them from my rear view mirror. Really missed seeing them as I drove.. “My 16-year-old granddaughter wanted a copy of her Pop's dog tags. (He was killed suddenly by a lightning strike). I ordered these and they were nice but they were much thicker than the original. The steel looked almost like plastic. I could have possibly ordered the wrong type of tags. If I ordered another tag is there a way to be sure I get some more like Pop"s that were issued in 1965?”

Hi Jimmy, Thanks for your feedback. Ironically our most common complaint we get is that our tags are "too thin", whereas you are suggesting they are "too thick". This is indicative of the many suppliers used by the military over the years (50s,60s, 70s) whereby the thickness changed depending on the manufacturer. Nevertheless our replica tags are indeed made of military-spec 304 stainless steel, they are most definitely not made of plastic!

“I’ve ordered several times and each time it was a custom order. I always contact Matthew with an idea and he doesn’t disappoint. The tags he creates are out of this world professionally done. “I love the tags. I made a mistake in not making the second tag different than the first. I should’ve had her vaccinations, the vet name and phone number on the second tag. Also, the silicone silencer added to the order is a disappointment as they stay on maybe 5 minutes. My dog does not chew or scratch it off.”

Thanks for your review and feedback. As stated on our website we do NOT recommend using silicone silencers on the tags with pets as they will indeed fall off easily in the active environment of a dog. Instead, we recommend our latex rubber silencers for pets since they are much more rigid and durable.

“My sister had these made for my nephew whose dad died from cancer at the age of 23 and his son was 5 months old when his dad passed away. My sister gave him his dad's dog tags and he has misplaced them so she got these made for his birthday in November. John was in the Navy and served this country and left his son with no memories of him.”
