“I like it, I wear it in honor of my Dad. Not sure if it the same as he was issued but according to the information I looked up it's the one's they were issued during WWII”

Hi Marie, Thanks for your review. You ordered our mil-spec red aluminum medical tags, which unlike our standard mil-spec dogtags do NOT have a rolled edge. These do indeed have a "harder" edge. Over time the edge will eventually wear slightly and soften itself. You can soften the edge yourself by using a nail file if it is bothersome.

Hi Vicky, Our high carbon rust-prone tags are designed to rust quickly (unlike our stainless steel mil-spec tags that will never rust). To accelerate the rusting brush some saltwater on to the tags.

“They look good, but were punched the wrong way. That may have been my fault as I might have overlooked the option to have it punched the correct way. But as they were for my daughter and not for official use, it's not that important.”

Hi Joshua, thanks for your review. You ordered modern embossed dogtags, when perhaps you wanted 60's era debossed tags. For what it's worth, embossed tags are much easier to read, however if you would prefer debossed please email us.

“My son had lost his dog tags after they had to cut them off of him when he was airlifted so we had to order another set. He does like the quality of these dog tags. He was leaving with his unit and needed to get them as quickly as possible. I ordered them on the 24th and got them on the 27th which is three days not the two days I paid for. Regardless my son got them before his unit left. I’m not happy with the three day turnaround but I’m thankful that he got them in time.”

Hi Brad, The silencer should indeed stay on the dogtag if worn around your neck. Hi Fred, Thanks for your review and your military service. We do indeed offer 3 types of finishes: Matte, semi-gloss, and shiny. One of these should match your originals. It seems that you perhaps made a typo when entering your blood type. Please email us so that we can help you to better match your original tags.

Hi Joanne, The small chain we provide is military spec, however you can still easily shorten it yourself if desired using simple wire cutters. Also, the silicone silencers are intended to keep the tags from clanking together.

“iI ordered tags for my entire family as a id because i have 3 boys in school and a girl soon to follow these tags have all their info on them in case of an emergency and GOD knows what may happen in todays world i only wish other parents would wake up and do the same for their loved ones”

“I lost my dog tags years ago. I wasn't really worried about it. However, my father, who was an airforce vet passed away and my oldest son joined the Marines at around the same time.
