“My brother Dave tracked down his birth father US Marine CPL Wes Patterson who was killed by a sniper in Viet Nam in 1966 at the age of 20. Dave was his only child, and Wes never knew about him. In January Dave had a stroke and can't use his left side. Our Dad, the father who raised him, passed in 2001. Dave needs encouragement very much right now and has talked a lot about his birth father and the father we share. I am putting together a memory box for Dave with a rubbing from The Wall of Wes's name and a memorial bracelet. There were certain things we wanted on it that couldn't be accommodated any other way. So I was really pleased to come across your site and have the help of an online assistant. The tags arrived and they are perfect. This is going to be a gift Dave can wear close to his heart. Thank you so much for what you are doing!”

Hi Jeremy, We NEVER see or have access to your credit card information. It is collected securely with encryption by stripe.com (one of the USA's biggest and most trusted payment processors) directly on their secure webserver. Your credit card information NEVER goes through the mydogtag.com web server. I am confident that is your credit card was compromised it was not through us.

“These tags were purchased for a shadow box of a retired member of the USAF. They are an exact duplicate issued during his time in service. System was easy to use; tags were reasonably priced; and delivered right on time. Thank you...!”

“Outstanding what better way for my crab traps to comply with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Saltwater Fishing Rules. I was using self-laminating name tags, which were about as worthless as one can imagine. The My Dog Tags are sturdy, have a long life, and, better yet, are in compliance with the fishing laws. “I was hoping the finish would be the same as my originals, but; it was not. Also; blood type is wrong. May have made the wrong selection.”

Hi Fred, Thanks for your review and your military service. We do indeed offer 3 types of finishes: Matte, semi-gloss, and shiny. One of these should match your originals. It seems that you perhaps made a typo when entering your blood type. Please email us so that we can help you to better match your original tags.

Hi Larry, Thank you for your review. Our tags do accommodate longer service numbers. Our templates for the period of 1975-2015 however are set up for the SSN (9 digits) as they were used on dog tags. We have templates for other periods like the 60s which are formatted for the 10 digit service number including the prefixes. During the customization step you can also change or add information as needed. Have emailed you directly to see about making you a new set of tags that include your last number.
