“Dog tags are thinner than the military issue and extremely difficult to read. I also expected the rubber/plastic liners so they were silent. None came with them.”

Hi Richard, Thank you for your feedback. The dog tags you received are the exact same ones that the US military currently issues. There can be differences in the thickness of the metal when comparing modern to tags issued decades ago. The lettering on your tags is debossed, which by its design is more difficult to read. Its primary purpose was to make carbon copies of the information onto medical paperwork. The rubber silencer is an option that you can choose to include. “Received my dog tags. Compared to the originals these are thin and the letters are indented instead of raised. They will do for display but do not mimick original issue.”

Hi Gregory, Thank you for your review and the feedback. The thickness of dog tags issued by the military has changed over the years. Depending on when and where your original tags were issued they can be noticeably different from what the military currently issues. Our tags are the same as the military issues.
