Hi Lonnie, thanks for your feedback. Vietnam era dogtags transitioned from notched to notchless around 1967, although some bases continued to issue notched tags into the 70s while they used up remaining inventory. “My dog tag came quickly, and I was kept informed about its delivery. However, I ordered mine with the small nails for attachment, which would mean the holes punched in the dog tag would be #4 holes. My plan was to enlarge the holes slightly for 1/8" pulled rivets for attachment. Instead it came with #6 holes for use with #6 sheet metal screws. Nobody uses sheet metal screws for this type attachment on an all aluminum airplane. I'll have to figure another method of attachment.”
