Terrible service... the worse! 2 of my parcels never arrived lost somewhere in transit which can be translated as stolen

My orders never leave their Depot to be delivered. The last time I placed an order to be delivered by Hermes was via QVC, order went into Hermes Depot and never came out. Ordered via The Body Shop recently who have only just started to use Hermes. Again went into their Depot and never came out. They must offer great rates to businesses as why else is virtually every business using them. I have to check with every company first who their courier is so it makes shopping online practically non existent. STOP USING HERMES!!!!

Appalling service every time Appalling service every, single, time. My parcels are left in random places with no clues to where. Places I have found  are, parcels under a neighbours car on thier drive, under my car on my drive, in the middle of my back garden lawn*an impressive throw to get it there) in my neighbours bin on bin day(parcel got thrown out when bin men emptied bin), in my bin on bin day. In a tree in our back garden which we only found when we went to put a bird box up.on my front door step for all and sundry to see( parcel got stolen). And not once did I get an email or a card through the door. The delivery guy doesn't even knock the door. I now do not purchase items from any seller/businesses that use hermes and I tell them this and why. Customer service consists of automated email replies or automated chat bot. . An absolute shambles of a service of which I would be throughly embarrassed if I worked for them.

Hermes stole my package, NEVER under any circumstances use them as a courier. 0 customer service. They're a criminal organisation who will steal your post. I attach a picture of the delivery photo the courier took.

I am giving this review after they failed 3 times miserably. 1st delivery was from Wren kitchen before 1st Lockdown. They received the item from Bosch, but never delivered it despite giving me time and date. Tried calling everywhere and no help with unfriendly customer service. 2nd time I ordered Shoes as Christmas present for my niece from Footlocker which were due to be delivered on the 17/12/20 never got them nor they replied, despite Footlocker confirmed they have send them out on the 11/12/20.Again no help over the phone or their Bot web chat. However I put a claim and got my money back from PayPal. 3rd time was a order from Debenham, which was due to be delivered on the 3rd of Jan 21 and here we are, its the 7th of Jan but still no sign of delivery and no information. Well done Hermes, then people wonder why they loose their job and get replaced by machines.

My package arrived broken and it seems totally IMPOSSIBLE to speak to anyone on the phone, i.e a real human being, to discuss the problem and request compensation. The inability to actually speak to a himan being is even more worrying than the gross mishandling of the package, that looked as if it had been trodden on, and then part of the damaged wrapping removed ,before delivery. The chair inside had been broken, which MUST have required someone to step on it.

Appalling service. Hermes took the money for two parcels, failed to collect for five days. Impossible to contact. Then I discovered that although paid for, there was absolutely no record of these transactions on my account which meant that I couldn't even claim a refund for non collection - as the transactions did not exist as far as they were concerned, although they had taken £16.79 for it. I have spent hours trying to sort this out, but to no avail. I have proof of everything - but what's the point when they say my parcels never existed? Thieves.

Not only did Hermes lose my parcel, a week before xmas. I reordered and Hermes sent an email stating it was due to be delivered which again wasn't still waiting 2 weeks later!! Another 2 items also in email by Hermes stated due yesterday which failed to arrived, or though was emailed saying they have had to reschedule for today! Can you guess did not arrive and had no up date with a reason as to why!!! Retailers that use Hermes they will be wasting money on a unreliable courier company, find someone else as being covid 19 at present customers are relying on online orders that Hermes cannot fulfill!!!

They've lost 3/155 parcels I have sent with them over the last 2-3 months. Those are not the stats of a competent or dare I say it, moral company. It's impossible to simply lose parcels, they are reasonable large, well wrapped and with the address inside and out. To lose 3/155 and cost my business £500 is wrong, there is no doubt about that and the company should be investigated by the police.

Unreliable, ineffective, disgusting service! please AVOID!!!!! I purchased an item from online retailer on 20.12.2020. The parcel was dispatched on the next day via Hermes services. The last available update was on 22.12.2020 and it says “We're sorry your parcel has been delayed, we'll have it on the move in the next 24 hours” After two weeks of chasing the parcel and trying to contact customer service (which does not exist!!!) I received an email from online retailer that the parcel cannot be located and has been lost. It is within the realm of possibility that my parcel was stolen as it was larger parcel that cannot just stay unnoticed. Not to mention the last update location was from the local depot!!! I have tried to contact Hermes customer service via email, online chat (which is absolutely useless) and phone call. This company has no customer service whatsoever!!! No matter what you try, you will be unable to speak to anyone. An utterly inadequate way to treat customers. I would never use their services ever again. This has not been the fist time I had to deal with them. Waste of time and money! If you can, please avoid them!

I’ve only ever had 2 problems when buying something online and both were sent with Hermes delivery. 1- Notification said my package had arrived and it wasn’t outside the door or anything, a few hours later when going to the shop I found it at the door step of a closed fish and chip shop around the back of my house.. luckily no one walking by had picked it up. 2- Happened yesterday, I got a notification saying my parcel had arrived whilst I was at home again. It wasn’t outside my door and I also checked the chip shop where it was left last time. This morning I got a text from my friend who works in another chip shop a minute away from my house that i had a parcel there. Luckily I’m friends with some of the workers, otherwise I probably never would have got it and definitely would not have known it was there!

It took Hermes a month to deciede they have lost my parcel, and then said it isnt their problem as their contract is with the supplier not me. If you want your parcel delivering dont ever use hermes.

Oh where to start with this company? On the 16/12/2020 we sent a small package from The Netherlands to The United Kingdom. Nothing flash, just some small food items for my parents as a Christmas gift. I hand write the address on fully in capital letters so as not to cause any confusion. We passed it to the local supermarket Jumbo who applied the details in their systems and forwarded it to PostNL. Once the tracking details appeared in the system we noticed that Jumbo had put the wrong postcode on the tracking (keep in mind that the address is still fully written on the parcel). They had managed to put TS1 instead of TS7. For those of you clued up on UK postcodes these are postcodes for the same area (Teesside), just a few miles apart (give or take a maximum of 10 miles). After the Hermes delivery system flagged a postcode mismatch I figured I’ll contact them to let them know what the correct postcode should be. No fewer than 6 (yes 6) emails had to bounce back and forth for them to keep giving the same replies of either “use the automated website robot” or “we’ve updated the tracking and it will be delivered within 24-48 hours.” As of writing this it is now 06/01/2021 and an email was sent to me yesterday saying “oh we lost it, don’t know where it is, sorry, go talk to PostNL for a refund.” That’s correct, a parcel that was acknowledged as a postcode mismatch and held in a depot has ‘gone missing’ all of a sudden. What I find most amusing is that anyone who lives in Teesside including the local delivery drivers know that TS7 is an area near two of the most famous landmarks in Teesside; Captain Cook’s monument and Roseberry Topping. You literally cannot miss the things. So ok, I get that Middlesbrough isn’t all that tiny but my questions remain unanswered and no one at Hermes cares one bit. How can someone operating in an area as small as Teesside not know how to read an address on a parcel rather than just using a scanner on a barcode? How do you lose a parcel stored in a depot? How is it that delivery drivers or depot workers in this day and age haven’t heard of using satnav, Google maps or delivery databases? You can literally use Post Office’s website in about two clicks to find an address on a partial form. It’s obvious that someone, somewhere is currently indulging themselves on a few chocolates, a bag of liquorice and some Old Amsterdam cheese because they didn’t use the internet. Bravo Hermes, you’ve excelled yourselves.

Terrible customer service. There was no communication from them. I still do not know why they could not deliver the package. It was not possible to speak to anyone on their phone number, it was just an automated service. I gave them my phone number and email, but heard nothing. My order was not delivered. A terrible experience and I will never use them again, or the company they were serving.

worse by far than any other courier company, couldnt pick a parcel up from my front door, couldn't drop another parcel at my front door but hid it inside the stairwell of adjoining flats. lost a package and refused to honour insurance. Why does this company still exist??

Hermes is hands down the worst courier company in the country. Constantly provide false info, make it impossible to contact them, and always deliver very late. If I shop with an online retailer and see they use Hermes I abandon the cart and email them to say that I won't be shopping won't them because Hermes is so poor.
