I ordered a gift for someone from Beauty Bay who sent it out within 24 hours (unfortunately by Hermes) and then I received an email from both Beauty Bay and Hermes to say my parcel was at Hermes' depot. Then - nothing other than "there is an issue with your parcel". It took an entire week of ranting on Beauty Bay's Facebook Page to get any response from them (you can only contact them via email/automated bot(!!) or Twitter(??!) - they don't even have a telephone number - and Hermes haven't even bothered to respond at all when I contacted them. This morning, after ranting AGAIN on Beauty Bay's Facebook Page, they responded telling me that Hermes have now said that my parcel is "lost in transit" - what - from their depot to my house??? How did they manage that then? Absolutely disgusting. I have now been given a refund by Beauty Bay that will take "3-5 working days" (funny, it didn't take them that long to take the money....), and someone at Hermes is enjoying my parcel. I allege that because another family member ordered something from another shop the week before which was also sent by Herpes (sorry - Hermes) and ONCE AGAIN was (apparently) "lost in transit". Either Hermes drivers are driving their vans into a lot of lakes and orders are disappearing into the watery depths, or someone at Hermes is stocking up with other peoples' orders. Otherwise, where are all these parcels going??? My order was a gift for someone and they never received it - but someone has..... NEVER USE HERMES (or Beauty Bay for that matter). I am writing a letter of complaint about both companies to Trading Standards.

There’s always a problem when they deliver my parcels, from being thrown in hedges to not arriving. Customer service is non existent. Company should be taken down by trading standards

At 7.20 PM tonight I got an email from Hermes to tell use we have missed our delivery at 5.40 tonight! Funny we have been in all day as we already received 2 other delivery’s from HERMES and yes it was 2 different delivery drivers. So what do we think of Hermes ‘DISAPPOINTMENT’ it’s a company that should stop giving its customers false hope as it does not give customers a service that works. It’s as much use as a chocolate teapot. Do your customers or yourself a favour use another delivery company.

Very poor service, they, like always can’t deliver a simple parcel. A P155 poor service, by a faceless organization, which, when there is a problem, their problem, you cannot actually talk to anyone about it. Shameful. They are a disgrace to the courier industry

Ok until you get a complaint from a recipient. Trying to get through to Hermes to speak to a human is nigh on impossible. Got through one on their 0330 number and was promised a return call within 48 hours. Alas, nothing. Phoned back four days later, waited 30 minutes, then someone on the other end picked up and put the phone down straight away. Shocking service. How is it possible for a company to be allowed to trade like this? Ok, they’re cheap, but cheap for a reason. Just hope your parcel reaches its destination intact, otherwise you’ve lost your money. Insuring your parcel will get you nowhere because they won’t let you get to the point where you can make a claim.

I’m a small business. I paid for a parcel to be collected but no one ever turned up. Tried repeatedly to contact Hermes but it’s virtually impossible and incredibly frustrating. Ended up paying extra for Royal Mail. They owe me £6.71 and I’ll never use them again.

Hermes provides the worst service out of all the couriers I had to deal with. Unreliable, slow, complicated to add any additional info for the delivery. I hope in the future none of my online shopping will be delivered with this company

Missed delivery on Wed as no email sent from hermes then email sent yesterday will be delivered between 12-4pm no delivery, I have waited in again today still not arrived. Worst company ever

Why do companies, especially Amazon, use Hermes? Is it because they are cheaper? My latest returned parcel is still stating as awaiting driver pick-up , since 11th October! Phoning to enquire about an update is beyond frustrating! I regularly receive only appalling service from this cowboy outfit! How in todays competitive market, are these jokers still in business?

No delivery of parcel tracking says parcel has been deliverd was home with family lights on in front of house no card left .Very disappointed as this parcel was for a child's birthday also when they say it was delivered this was 5days late!Tried to ring then can't speak to any one.Have to go on line and speak to a robot!.But didn't get any where . I wouldn't use this firm my self or recommended it been on to seller about poor service and no parcel .But no birthday present .

Damaged goods. Hopeless customer services who fail to read complaints properly. Even writing to the MD had absolutely no result.If you can find an alternative strongly suggest you do.

Hermes lost a next day delivery parcel I sent. They just don't care. Nobody has contacted me. I spent a whole morning to get through to speak to someone, eventually was told a person would get back to me. That was a month ago, I've heard nothing from Hermes. My advice if you care for your customers don't use Hermes to send parcels.

Shipped a high valued item through Amazon return prepaid shipping label using Hermes. Parcel never returned to Amazon. Tracking shows as being picked up by Hermes and scanned at the depot. Raised a lost parcel claim (twice). I never heard back from Hermes regarding the claim. Amazon refused to refund my payment. I'm currently £1400 our of pocket.

From reading other reviews the penny must have dropped by now!! I was texted to say the parcels would be here between ll and 1 today 19.10.20. 1 was inside my house no knock or bell ring my dog barked and when I looked out no one was there. I went outside at 2pm and saw the parcels shoved behind my bin. I didn't give this as a safe place to leave parcels?!!! Also why didn't your driver knock on the bloody door or post a card saying they had been delivered, as I would have found them earlier??? Definitely need some training on "CUSTOMER SERVICE" . Anyone passing could have stolen these due to a driver who couldn't be bothered and I would have had the inconvenience of putting a claim in. Won't be using you as I'm absolutely disgusted with your "so called service".

Shocking service parcel left might i add it says in a safe place on a door step knowing AND can clearly see i lIve in a walk where public walk up and down carparl facing house (enclosed pictures) where clearly the parcel was on display and just dumped with a sorry you wasn't in card not knocked on a neighbours how as I asked them now no parcel the date in the card was wrong tried getting hold of the company alterative option none for stolen item talked to a robot called Holly again no option for stolen parcel emailed them to het a email back saying we don't deal with complaints . Careless even allowing for a parcel to be dumped on a doorstep with out a signature or anything. Joke parcel got delivered on the 16th card says 15th I will never use this company SHOCKING......

for the second time hermes had to deliver my stuff and in both cases they didn't. first time they were like a week late. i wonder how long i'll have to wait for my parcel which was due to be delivered yesterday.
