Had at least 4 seperate 'failed' deliveries of different items over last couple of months. If the driver actually waited more than a few seconds to get to door before driving off with package it would help. On waiting in for one particular delivery she literally had gone before I had chance to get down the stairs. There have also been several times when a delivery has supposedly been attempted (with no evidence, i.e a picture) and we have all been in the front room!! Why lie?? Worst of all is the online help assistant as it does not recognise your complaint and apparently even my address now?! Even the phone number is incorrect. Maybe I'm just unlucky with the particular drivers in my area but it's certainly made me never want to use Hermes to handle anything I will send.

Had issues tracking a parcel, my doorbell doesn't work so I asked them to leave it with a neighbour all 3 times. They didn't even ring the neighbour. Impossible to contact them, unhelpful bot Holly directs you to the website and the 'live chat line open Monday-Saturday' is also automated and directs you to Holly. Worst courier company. So frustrating. Hundreds of online threads titled 'talk to a person Hermes 2018/2019/2020/2021' and still nothing. Not just a Covid issue, they just provide appalling service. No complaints channel either. No idea why so many retailers use Hermes, I make an active choice not to buy from places that ship with Hermes.

This is the worst delivery service I have ever used and I won't be using them again. I sent several parcels over a couple of days and every single parcel was at least 8 days late, one parcel still hasn't been delivered and is 18 days late. The automated assistant is a complete waste of time, the phone number is automated and therefore is also a complete waste of time, there is no email to contact anyone about issues, I don't know how this company can get away with operating a business this way, the customer has to have a way of speaking to a human being when they have an issue. I think an ombudsman needs to investigate this disgraceful company and force them to change the way they operate.

It is only as good as the local courier. Mine was excellent the new courier is not. ‘Verified GPS Location’ which was 5 miles from my house and a photo which was a pitch black screenshot. Unable to deliver despite the fact I was outside the house at the time the delivery was unable to take place as there was no one in….why would anyone risk their reputation with such a dire company - John Lewis, Mark’s and Spencer etc. take note. Worst of all there is no mechanism for contacting them only the worst ‘digital assistant’ that gives you the tracking information you already have trouble is it is a complete work of fiction. Company is just the worst there is.

The most diabolical NON customer service I’ve ever experienced . To the point I will never use them again .Parcel missing for just over a week no correspondence just automated replies . Unable to discuss problem I’ve resorted to emailing the CEO . Holly needs to be binned utterly shambolic badly run company

Do not deserve 1 star I have been waiting for 2 parcels for over 6 weeks now No tracking update can not get any answers from Myhermes .Waste of time nearly £500 worth of goods have just vanished into thin air ??????? Shocking

not the first time that this happens. delivery left at main entrance of building. I live in a building with 42 flats. we have a reception downstairs but they not there to take on deliveries for tenants. again hermes just left it at entrance near reception not even contacted reception. didn't even ring my doorbell . now everyone who walks in main entrance could take the parcel. this one is a heavy one. how do I get it to my flat ? I have limited mobility and live on my own on tracking it says left in porch. we don't have a porch. proof of delivery is a picture of parcel inside building beside reception. delivery address is flat 14 NOT reception . so fed up with this happening every time and no way to contact hermes at all. virtual assistant that's all. shame on you hermes. very poor service.

Don't really deserve 1 star - should be zero. Absolutely hopeless company. I am disabled and live in a block of flats but they don't bother to ring the bell so I can let them in - they just dump the parcel outside and then send an email saying "successfully delivered". This has happened six times in the past few weeks. I have to ask a neighbour to go and find my parcel. I have complained each time but they just apologise and say it won't happen again but obviously do not inform the drivers that any parcels should be delivered to the recipient's door. DON'T USE THEM!!!

Good evening I am writing this email concerning the appalling service that has been provided from Hermes for the collection of five boxes which were arranged to be collected in 24 hours on Sunday 18th July. Said collection was arranged to be done in the next 24 hours, 19th of July because my son had to leave his accommodation in Exeter on Tuesday, 20th of July and had a train ticket at 12 pm to London. Not only no one contacted my son about the delay but on 20th July, one day late, when eventually someone turned up, the vehicle was too small to put the boxes in it. That was under one hour from the train departure. I have tried to contact customer service at 8.05 on Monday, 19th of July, but as you already know, there is just a recording message asking for track numbers and that’s all. The recorded message finishes saying: “you don’t need to speak to us”. That’s it. But as it happens, indeed I needed to speak to someone. This is a dreadful customer services. In fact, there isn’t one. The website shows a paragraph: “a dedicated phone line” for customer service with a telephone number which is a recorded message. Moreover, said website mentions “find out more about our commitment to customer service”. Is that a joke? And an assistant online which, of course, is a robot. Please note what the meaning of customer services is: the assistance and advice provided by a company to those people who buy or use its products or services. Assistance from Hermes? None Advice with the problem created for delayed collection time: None Due to all the above mentioned facts, I would like to receive compensation for the unnecessary stress caused and above all for not complying with the time stipulated when I entered a contract with the company, Hermes. I would like this complaint to be dealt by a manager and I look forward to hearing from you. Automated reply: Thank you for contacting Hermes. This email address is no longer a Customer Service contact channel so if you have a question about a parcel, please visit https://new.myhermes.co.uk/help-and-support/contact-us.html where you can use our Digital Assistant, Holly, to log an enquiry with Customer Services or she will point you in the right direction.

Don’t trust this courier. Driver stole my expensive bangle and earrings and then delivered the parcel and handed it like it wasn’t touched and he had a suspicious look. No way to complain to these idiots no email or phone number to ring them. Absolutely diabolical.

parcel left in outside entrance below inter-com entryphone buzzers of block of flats-never rings entryphone just sends photo showing parcel. I do not live in the entrance I liv on 3rd flr with a lift. Anyone can just walk in & steal parcel. Van 71 always does this. Terrible service. Got nowhere with live chat! Disgusting service that we pay for with postage added to purchase.

LOST PARCEL, NO REFUND Hermes lost my parcel, I filled out a claim form. Email indicated I needed to wait up to 28 days. I waited and waited. Nothing! I call Customer Services three times (first two times it’s answered but someone rustles a crisp packet of sorts before hanging up). Apparently they emailed me for some info and gave me 7 days to respond (which I didn’t receive) so they closed the case. Not willing to reopen, not willing to start a new claim, NO REFUND. Apparently I can email the claims team but they probably won’t even open the email!!! AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!!! Don’t use this company !!!

Ordered a clothes airer , delivered battered and bent by couriers , packaging all ripped , two bars bent and one dented ! Useless couldn’t care less ! Also waiting for pottery owl and on tracking it says there has been an issue in transit ! Giving a claim number to seller !! What about my pottery that I paid for as a bloody gift . I worked for this company years ago and I know what goes on 😰

Parcel not collected. No one to talk to. Shamful way to carry out a sevice organisation. Must change by law to provide a human interface apart from a digital interface.

I have two parcels on my doorstep that Hermes have given me tracking numbers for and tell me they were collected on Thursday - this is Saturday and they are still here! Even worse, I can’t get to speak with anyone! Appalling service!

I was expecting a parcel today, to be delivered by Hermes (unfortunately, it wasn't my choice). Today, as with my previous experiences with Hermes (again: none by choice) the parcel did not arrive. It usually takes 4-6 days of further delays before... before we receive another notice that the parcel will be delayed a little bit more. It takes over a week of delays to receive your stuff. I don't know if the people of that company are deliberately sabotaging the business or what. Such consistent incompetent service cannot be by luck!

My parcel to Austria is not arriving, the friendly and dedicated telephone helpline promised is just a digital voice and no help facility - no matter which answer you give gets you through to a human. Tracking doesn;t work and my important parcel is stuck somewhere. How can it be legal that a company is trading without an impressum on any of its communications, an email address that takes you back into a torturous merry go around as does their facebook page. It is a service of disregard and pretence, quite frankly - SHOCKING but seemingly becoming an accepted culture within the service industry. Some suffering customer has simply turned his frustration into constructive action starting a Government Petition: Regulate the courier service industry with penalties for undelivered parcels - https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/582809 just google it and sign!
