Absolute zero rating. Lowest of the low. I ordered an item on Ebay via the Global Shipping Program, which appears to be a dubious process to begin with, but that is irrelevant and a different discussion altogether. The main glaring issue was with the final stage of the delivery, which was going to be handled by Hermes. Immediately, I had a gut feeling that this wasn't going to end well, and I was absolutely right to be concerned. Being a key worker, I have not been at home when when the courier has shown up. It seems that they attempt to deliver on 3 consecutive days and then simply "return" the parcel, with no method of retrieval. What is this nonsense all about? There are no options for a recipient to alter or specify a suitable delivery date or perhaps even a later delivery time. I was given no option to collect the package from a different location, in person, which I would have happily done. I have elderly neighbours, and what with the current times, I do not want to bother them with taking in deliveries, and I shouldn't have to do that in the first place, if I was given even the slightest of opportunities to be able to communicate with this farce of a company. So, with basically no alternatives, I selected the "safe place" option for the final attempt, which doesn't allow you to manually input any specific location information. There are limited given choices, some of which are guaranteed to make you roll your eyes upwards. Nevertheless, my request was clearly ignored, despite leaving an additional written instruction on my front door. I did, however, receive a BLANK "Sorry I missed you..." slip with absolutely NOTHING filled out on it! Clearly, this schmuck wasn't giving a damn. No initiative, no respect Now my package is being returned, allegedly. Returned to who knows where? I am absolutely seething. It is basically impossible to obtain direct communication, either online or over the phone, with a human being at Hermes. A simple enquiry... now a complaint.. seemingly cannot be made. Every avenue is nothing more than vague automated responses, talking in circles, all of which leads to no resolve. No accountability. Very clever. Of course, this is clearly all by design, as the volume of complaints aimed at this shower of incompetents must be well and truly off the scale. Hermes are nothing short of contemptible. I must stress to others, steer well clear of using them, because you are taking a gamble, and believe me, the odds will never be stacked in your favour. If you are considering a purchase from someone who is planning to use Hermes as the courier, advise them to use a different company, or no deal. Simple as that. This cowboy outfit must be boycotted, period. If anyone can provide a way of speaking to a real live human representative directly at Hermes, I would be very interested indeed. I'm sure others would be also.

This should be zero rating for consistently bad service - don't use them. They don't even knock when delivering, packages left on front door. Package delivered today was totally rain soaked, my window cleaner notified me of the package outside.

Terrible customer service Tried to order an international parcel. When it came to printing off the label it said there was an error and I needed to contact myhermes. Not great when you are in a hurry!! I waited an hour on their live chat. When someone finally spoke to me they ignored my messages for a long time before replying. Each message was asking for information I had already given! In the end I decided to cancel the order for a refund because the chat person was not replying to me and surprise surprise they replied a couple of seconds after I pressed the cancel button saying 'well I cant do anything to help you because youve cancelled it?' . INFURIATING ISN'T THE WORD. DISGUSTING SERVICE.

NEVER USE Awful and useless I used hermes to send a disabled scooter This parcel never arrived and i was told (after countless attempts to contact this company) that the item was damaged so hermes destroyed it, without speaking with me. How a metal scooter can be destroyed is beyond me, but to not contact me regarding this is absolutely appalling Will never use again

They keep charging me 10.80 for parcels overweight but they are at the con and have broken loads of my parcels! They make it very difficult to get refund and you can’t talk to a manager as the calls are only allocated to customer service. Do not use! Absolute joke of a company and the drivers are hashy with goods!!

Not sure what I am actually paying for, absolutely USELESS service from Hermes every single time! Takes forever to arrive, overpriced & their updates are not helpful, they have hardly any information about what’s going on. It’s impossible to speak to anybody to resolve, hope to see the day this company goes under sooner rather than later - it will be doing everyone a favour.

Bought something from the US and it managed to get in the hands of these clowns.... I've been WAITING OVER A MONTH! All of the tracking was being logged... Until it got into the hands of Hermes who have been "expecting" the package for 4 weeks!?

Everything went wrong - Hermes lost my parcel and despite my trying to contact them every day, you cannot get to speak to a real person. Anything other than a basic query the A.I. just does not help. Hermes you missed my sons Birthday by a month No apologies, no compensation - just ignored HERMES = The WORST delivery company

Absolutely Pathetic delivery company Absolutely Pathetic delivery company, they have so far lost 5 parcels with no compensation..They have made it very easy so the claim process is always in their favour.. Items sent with tracking and return address are never located, sent to receiver or even returned to sender Clearly a bunch of incompetance at the regional hub

When receiving parcel i have had them left out for thieves to take. They have put it in my bin with any Information of where it is. They have left it at an entirely different address. They never knock and never leave a card. They never pay compensation even if you can speak to them. They try every trick to fob you off and then they ignore you. They keep your parcels and sell them on ebay, have a look for yourself. They do not care at all.

The Hermes courier delivered my package with a cut in the back of it and the contents having been removed. The picture to prove delivery was taken of the front of the package so it appeared untampered with and in the short space of time it took for me to pick the package up off the floor and turn it over and realise I had been delivered an empty package the courier had already gone. I believe he must of at least seen the damage, I have been waiting almost 3 weeks to hear back from their customer service. I will never use them again and will try not to buy from anyone else that uses them. Disgusting

I returned a package to QVC returns in Liverpool on 13th February. It has not been delivered yet and the tracking has shown the same thing for the last 8 days. I telephoned and they said they would let me know what happened. I will never ever use Hermes again to send parcels. I will go back to Royal Mail

2 Parcels missing,tracking has just stopped, had my m&m direct account closed because cant prove i sent my parcel to hermes to be returned saying tracking number not available so lost out on my money back and had my account closed with a company i aways buy from. Parcel 2 i ordered something of ebay back in November 2020 still waiting for it to this day seller refunded me but only half so lost out there to. I will never use hermes again and when i do buy something now i aways ask who they use to send parcel with if they say hermes i go elsewhere.. HERMES ARE Stealing scams.....

Very poor. Parcels are usually late, sometimes damaged. If I am not in they tend to leave the parcel in my bin or in a ridiculous place. Really wish companies would stop using this awful courier

Contents stolen from box. Box resealed with different tape. Hermes deny any responsibility despite the package being in their care. A disgusting company and they have now lost all my future business.

Supposed to had a parcel delivered o christmas day the seller wont refund he says he has proof of delivery on christmas day and herpes say it was delivered on christmas day so i cant make a claim the are more than useless ???
