“I was very disappointed that you couldn't or wouldn't cut my plate to a size i required. All i wanted was a plate cut to 61/2"x5" but you took my money then told me my size wasn't on the list. Nicely made plates but wasnt happy with the size Andrew...”

Hi Andrew Many thanks for posting your review & apologize we did not have the exact size of plates you required, due to the way our plates are produced all sizes supplied are as per our website if we do not have the exact size required it would be as close as we could possibly get. “Overall a good experience, the website is a bit dated and garish, but the product is very good, well priced and good delivery. The only really annoying thing is that you did not send me an invoice and you did not email me one either, and I need this as I am a trader.”

“The number plate I ordered has a Lexus logo. The reproduction of this was of poor definition, with a fuzzy appearance. This is in complete contrast to the remainder of the plate which was of high quality. JJR”

“Web site very good for designing your number plates, shows a good picture of how it will look. Quality of product very good and delivery good. Quite expensive for a set of personalised plates, but I guess you have to pay your money to get non standard plates. Will use them again”

“My review would have been very good but my plates came without a gap between numbers and letters,which I realised was my fault because I just entered my reg. number and thought it would be done automatically,When I emailed my showplates about this that I wanted to reorder I never even got a reply.Since then on other sites I have looked at,they tell you if you have not left a gap!”

As we cover many aspects of the industry it is not uncommon for plates to be ordered with no spacing, it is down to the customer when designing their plate to ensure that the correct details are entered in accordance with their requirements, our plate designer page provides a preview of what your plates would have looked like clearly showing this. We would of course have been more than happy to provide you with a new product had you placed a new order, I am sorry to say there was no record of you having tried to contact us. “Overall the plate is of a good quality. My only negative is the boarder colour. My daughter designed the plate with a pink boarder and slogan. The front is pink however the rear came out orange. Guessing that's due to the rear being a yellow plate. My comment would be that there should be a warning stating that this may occur when deciding to have a pink boarder/slogan as the plate don't really match.”

Hi Mark, Thanks for your feedback. the colours on the rear plate may appear darker due to the yellow reflective material. This will be less obvious when you actually have the plates mounted on the car as its more noticeable when held side by side. Thanks again, we have taken your comments on board. “I recently purchased 1 pair of showplaces for my Car. I placed the order for the plates to have a blue border to match my car. I am a car enthusiast & have restored my car so attention to detail matters. On receiving my plates I found that the border on the yellow was Black! I thought that I had made a mistake & so double checked my order & the detail again online. After receiving a reply from My Showplaces it seems that the yellow does not allow the Blue border. I was disappointed & not happy with the service. It was explained to me that this minor detail is in the small print. I do not think that this was fair at all. The website clearly asked you for details as you click your preference & an example is shown...Great! Why is this not taken out of the equation totally in the first place so you do not have the option? It’s like order a brand new car in blue from the colour shown in the catalogue & then when it arrives in black...the dealer says sorry did you ready the small print!! I have just taken my vehicle off the road for winter but I am already looking at purchasing new plates to replace them. I shouldn’t have to. The website feature/option is very misleading. “Good and reliable product and service, used them many times. My only criticisms are that they haven't always had the (odd) sizes for special applications and that some of the side logos available haven't been to the standard of others. If they have what you're looking for then you can order with confidence.”

“The plates arrived the next day, and are good quality. Good service. Would recommend website is updated as having to click on each image to actually see what it looks like is a little long-winded, but the actual physical plates and speed of service are good.”
