“Two of the three speakers were difficult to listen to. They were clearly experts but they were not great speakers. They had lots of verbal pauses which I found distracting. Additionally, the fact that almost none of the presentations were accompanied by visual slides made it very difficult for me to focus. I am a visual learner so not having something tangible to ground me to the presentation made this a very difficult day for me.”

“Probate is really state specific and I'm in Ohio. So not much for me as far as procedure. Hundreds of pages of materials but not very helpful. The first speaker refers to her questionairre for new clients, but does not include one for a model. Also, in Ohio, we use the phrase "safe deposit box". I guess some people use safety deposit box but I found it irksome that the wrong word was used over and over.
As for digital assets, there was no definition as to whether those are tangible or intangible, I would have like some explanation.
Also, in Ohio if a creditor doesn't make a claim within 6 months its claim is not considered valid. I don't know about sending out notice to creditors and would have liked a better explanation of how that's handled.
I can't help but think that there was a better way to do a step by step explanation of the tax return.
Transfer of real estate is an issue, sell or just transfer to heirs? Why is one better?
I was disappointed and frankly feel I wasted my money.

“Not pleased right now. The Seminar was fine, but your administration is the issue. I clicked on the icon to get credit for the seminar and got no response. I followed up with an email asking for confirmation that I would get credit .....and, again got no response. I still have not.”

“The presenters did a great job: were well prepared and knowledgeable; it would have been a great CLE for counsel beginning practice in the estate area, perfect for my son who just graduated from law school, however, this was to be an advanced estate planning course and it was basic instead. Again great presenters, just not what was advertised, so kind of a wasted day but for the credits. Thanks.”

“I purchased the "Louisiana" Probate process and Executor Duties: Master Checklist with Deadlines. Unfortunately, only about 10% was from Louisiana, and the rest was in regards to New York State. As most people know, and definitely everyone in Louisiana, Louisiana has a civil law system like most of the world and not common law like the other 49 states and countries formally or currently under British rule.”

“I was a little disappointed with the last program I attended. It was titled "Complex issues" with the ADA and FMLA. I did not find they discussed complex issues but more basic information. Some of the time was wasted discussing the FFCRA which is no longer applicable. If I had known it was more of a basic program, I would not have signed up. However, the presenters were very good and certainly very knowledgeable.”

“The speakers could not stick to the schedule so much of the material was not covered. The slides were very bare bones. The whole presentation was like listening to a lecture. A ton of information that is not digestible and not engaging.”

“You either need to keep your speakers on time or cut them off but to cut short breaks and short lunch periods is absurd. You cannot concentrate all day without sufficient time to eat and regroup
The quality of the speakers was was overall not good. One speaker read from a script!! If this is not the lawyers area of expertise they should not be speaking.
Very disappointed in the quality of the Overall program. There were two excellent presentations the rest were not good.”

“I was not impressed by the information contained in the Ethics and Law Office Management Toolkit for Paralegals. The information was very basic and did not apply to my firm. NBI should recommend seminars for a specific type of firm. This specific seminar was aimed at small businesses/solo practitioners, where a paralegal wears multiple hats. I believe it was a waste of my time and my firm's money by listening to information that was not applicable to me and lacked in details. I was most interested in the topics regarding billing and management of non-lawyers, however, these contained basic information that can be taught by any lay person. I expected details regarding better billing techniques or meaningful information on how to better manage others.”
We’re sorry to hear this course didn’t meet your expectations. This course did cover a wide array of topics for paralegals wearing multiple hats and it sounds like that wasn’t the best fit for your needs. Please give us a call at 800.931.5944 - we would love to hear more about your experience and discuss how we can make this right.
“I did an all day CLE. Throughout the morning presentation the attendance prompt did not come up. Over the lunch hour I contacted NBI and was told that I was on the wrong page - apparently following along with the materials on my screen did not allow the attendance prompt to come up. I was instructed to keep the screen with the presenter open to see the prompts clearly. No attendance prompts came up for the afternoon session despite being on the screen with the presenter. I’m certain I did not get the full benefit of the seminar because of my preoccupation with providing evidence of my attendance i.e. time stamped notes and photographs throughout and the inability to follow along with the materials. Not unexpectedly I received an email suggesting that my request for credit required an explanation as to why I did not engage with the attendance prompts. Of course I would have engaged with the attendance prompts had there been any attendance prompts to engage.”
Dear Cheryl, thanks for sharing your feedback. We're sorry you had this experience. It was an uncommon instance and we'll do better in the future. We will be reaching out to learn more about what happened, why it happened, and discuss what we can do to make this right.
“I spent a long day in the program and have not received the Certificate of Attendance that I need for CLE. There was an audio/video glitch that shut us down for 20 minutes during the afternoon and three of the hour-long segments had no powerpoint materials at all. Very frustrating.”
“Content is good but I had a lot of issues with the on demand video. I had to re-start entire program if I had to take a break. Wasn’t comparable with my iPhone apparently. Customer service could not help fix the issue.”
“Although the content was satisfactory, the virtual sessions were difficult to stay engaged with. There is not an opportunity for immediate conversation with the presenters, which make asking questions and staying engaged difficult.”
“Re: NH Trust and Probate Administration. I was unable to attend the program in person on May 18, 2021. I ordered the video download. I understand that it wasn’t promised until June, but I was assured that it would probably come sooner. It has not yet arrived. It takes TOO LONG to get it. Thanks!”
