The courses are amazing. I learn so much from the Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust classes. However, I bought a year's membership to NBI CLE and began several OnDemand classes with the understanding that I would have 6 months, as stated on their web site, to complete the courses. I went to continue these courses, after paying 1,200 during 2023 for them, and found out that you do NOT have 6 months to watch them, you have only until 7 days after the subscription ends. I am a solo practitioner, so I don't have 1,200 to spend per year, and nor do I have the time to watch all the needed CLEs without the 6 months to view them. This felt fraudulent, and I was very disappointed with this lack of customer service.

While one lecturer was qualified, prepared, and effective, the other was wholly unqualified, ineffective in presenting, and quite disorganized. It was quite disappointing.

NBI overall is a good resource, the course I just took regarding outlook was useless. It should have been interactive. The slides did not even show what to do. The only thing I learned was a website to help track time. Sorry. Not worth the money.

I have been an avid CCW person for 6.5 years. The information as to CCW was "right on" I'm happy to say that I already knew it all. Other than that, the seminar was really of no use to me. Atty. G. Drew Rolston 6-12-23

I was very excited about this class. Unfortunately, it was not worth the time or money. Charging $400 to have multiple lecturers not show up and then end an hour early because you did not have enough people to fill the time is simply inexcusable. If you are going to ask attorneys to block off an entire day and pay that kind of money for your class, make it worth their while.

Disappointed with the content. Very little time was spent on the topics of reviewing and summarizing medical records and too much time was given to the concepts around protected information. While understanding how to handle protected information is important it is not a significant contributor to the actual summarization of medical records. Amy Johnson was the only presenter that provided any relevant information.

All but one paper was not prepared by the speaker or the speaker failed to provide the material in time. The speakers were o.k.

Two of the three speakers were difficult to listen to. They were clearly experts but they were not great speakers. They had lots of verbal pauses which I found distracting. Additionally, the fact that almost none of the presentations were accompanied by visual slides made it very difficult for me to focus. I am a visual learner so not having something tangible to ground me to the presentation made this a very difficult day for me.

The seminar ended early because a speaker was unavailable. The follow up email is confusing, so now I will need to call NBI to get clarification.

Probate is really state specific and I'm in Ohio. So not much for me as far as procedure. Hundreds of pages of materials but not very helpful. The first speaker refers to her questionairre for new clients, but does not include one for a model. Also, in Ohio, we use the phrase "safe deposit box". I guess some people use safety deposit box but I found it irksome that the wrong word was used over and over. As for digital assets, there was no definition as to whether those are tangible or intangible, I would have like some explanation. Also, in Ohio if a creditor doesn't make a claim within 6 months its claim is not considered valid. I don't know about sending out notice to creditors and would have liked a better explanation of how that's handled. I can't help but think that there was a better way to do a step by step explanation of the tax return. Transfer of real estate is an issue, sell or just transfer to heirs? Why is one better? I was disappointed and frankly feel I wasted my money. Deborah Spychalski

Not pleased right now. The Seminar was fine, but your administration is the issue. I clicked on the icon to get credit for the seminar and got no response. I followed up with an email asking for confirmation that I would get credit .....and, again got no response. I still have not.

The presenters did a great job: were well prepared and knowledgeable; it would have been a great CLE for counsel beginning practice in the estate area, perfect for my son who just graduated from law school, however, this was to be an advanced estate planning course and it was basic instead. Again great presenters, just not what was advertised, so kind of a wasted day but for the credits. Thanks.

I purchased the "Louisiana" Probate process and Executor Duties: Master Checklist with Deadlines. Unfortunately, only about 10% was from Louisiana, and the rest was in regards to New York State. As most people know, and definitely everyone in Louisiana, Louisiana has a civil law system like most of the world and not common law like the other 49 states and countries formally or currently under British rule.

I was a little disappointed with the last program I attended. It was titled "Complex issues" with the ADA and FMLA. I did not find they discussed complex issues but more basic information. Some of the time was wasted discussing the FFCRA which is no longer applicable. If I had known it was more of a basic program, I would not have signed up. However, the presenters were very good and certainly very knowledgeable.
