Had help from a firearms shop manager. He did most of it. We shall see in the future how this works out for me.

My husband is very unhappy he purchased the PDF finger print file and the ATF said he still had to send manual finger prints. The PDF was like 60 bucks and it was a complete waste of time and money. Very unhappy.

National Gun Trust generated a digital trust for me in minutes. However, the paperwork isn’t as straight forward as I would’ve liked. There was a person from the trust who emailed me to follow up, after one email he stopped responding.

Finger printing location did a terrible job. Had to keep redoing it because the worker didn’t know how to work machine or give a clear print. Hoping that my application passes through.

It was very straightforward to purchase the National Gun Trusts EFT package, and the agent called me almost immediately to schedule my visit to a UPS store for electronic fingerprinting. And soon after that, I received my QR authorization code from PrintScan. The Sterling Identity fingerprinting equipment used at the UPS store just did not work for me. The UPS agent was on the phone with Sterling support and retry after retry Sterling support just started saying "it looks good enough" and overriding the poor prints. Afterward, I called Sterling Identity to express my doubt and ask if they had better equipment nearby. They said yes but directed me back to PrintScan for another QR code. Lucking I talked to a responsible agent and she got me one within a few minutes. I went to the new UPS store where I was directed, and the process went much, much smoother. More knowledgeable UPS agent and better quality prints with only one override. Hopefully, the EFT will satisfy the ATF. Meanwhile, National Gun Trust was unaware of all this as I couldn't reach them.

I think NGT gives good information, but the information is not finite enough for my liking. Response time for my emails was great. Responders tried to clarify for me, but I did not get an answer that clarified my questions. I got fairly frustrated to the point I gave up on doing the trust.

Shipping time on my order was startlingly quick. My order, however, was for cards with NO ORI. The cards I received had NGT's ORI stamped on them. Not a big deal for me...

I thought I'd be getting cards with my details filled in but they were not , no big deal. The directions to fill out the card and a little info on DIY fingerprinting were not there.

We don't make custom cards at this time. There is a link to the fingerprint guide on the packing slip, but you can also view that here too to help you complete your fingerprint cards - https://www.nationalguntrusts.com/blogs/nfa-gun-trust-atf-information-database-blog/atf-compliant-fd-258-fingerprint-cards-walk-through-guide.

Need more accurate descriptions of products. I bought 2 because it only said 1. Ended up with 12 because apparently 1 = 6.

When you place your order for a gun trust you are able to download all Of the necessary forms. The confusing part is that there are no instructions of which forms you need to actually fill out. My gun shop was able to simplify the whole process and let me know which forms I actually needed to fill out.

I was of the understanding that the gun trust was something that I could add to at a later date, apparently not true. If I purchase another firearm I have to do another trust, have my and everyone else’s finger prints taken yet again, and submit the paperwork all over. Don’t you think that the bureaucracy is over the top? My second amendment rights are disappearing right in front of my eyes. Please advise me, if I am incorrect about my gun trust. Regards PLF
