Avoid Northern Gas,what a terrible experience from beginning to end.Day one wrong boiler ordered,fitted December After short time half radiators not working,told to bleed radiators,did not work,did not come for weeks to sort it out,without heat over Christmas.Bad communication by staff including managers get phone call to say over run on previous job - car van broken down etc. They phone to make new appointment and then they phone to change it.I phoned the manager Mr Ali four days on the run,but no communication from him at all. :Do not do business with Northern Gas unless you want problems and stress.

We were referred for a new boiler to Northern Gas by EON. We were pleased with the boiler installed last year and then on an inspection it was found that further work needs doing. We were given one appointment for 1 April when we stayed in all day but must have missed a call and were told the engineer had gone to another job. We had only been outside once to the garage and to fetch washing in. Another date was fixed at great inconvenience to us as there was an important event in the morning we had to attend. We were promised an early call so that my husband could meet me. He was told they would be coming at 12pm when he rang and then when he complained they had not come told at 2pm they would be with us in half an hour. At 4pm nobody has come or called to let us know what is happening and my husband has wasted a whole day. Do they think we have nothing to do but wait in for them to decide when is suitable for them.

Fitting team were great. The customer services side was simply abysmal. I would not recommend Northern Gas on this experience alone. I repeatedly raised issues and was repeatedly told someone would call me back, no one ever did. This went on and on, into double figures. Each time I had to waste my own time on hold having to call them. I raised a formal complaint and was told I would receive a call from a manager but they didn't even bother to call me. It took the threat of cancellation to make progress. It remains a very disappointing experience in what was a stressful period of no hot water.

The salesman was a bit pushy and tried to get me to agree there and then and pay a deposit on the day. They did come out cheaper than any competitor but I soon found out why. He had promised they could get the installation done within a couple of weeks and that they wouldn't have to move the boiler (which other companies had claimed would be necessary). It took two weeks before anyone even phoned about arranging the next step and that was just a survey to determine some details for the installation. This continued for several more weeks, I phoned numerous times trying to find out what was happening usually to be told somebody would phone me back but most of the time nobody ever did. After nearly two months they told me that the boiler couldn't go where the salesman said it would and it would cost extra. When it finally got to the day of the installation, nobody showed up or phoned to explain why they hadn't. Several phone calls later and they told me that a previous job had overrun and they wouldn't be coming today (after i'd already taken the day off work to wait for them). The guys who finally turned up did a good job, they arrived about 8:30 am and didn't leave until 8pm. Apart from accidentally disconnecting the socket for my fridge (fortunately there was a spare socket that still worked next to it) they did a pretty good job and worked very hard to fix the company's catalogue of errors. After the poor service I got I really can't recommend this company to anyone and would never use them again, even if things did work out ok in the end. Although even with the higher price they were still a bit cheaper than the next best of the five quotes I obtained.

When I ordered my new boiler I was told specifically that my 10 year full boiler cover included servicing, because I had asked the question. I tried to arrange my first service only to be told that I do not, infact, have servicing in my contract. I was also told that the salesman who I dealt with no longer worked for the company as if that absolved the company for misselling of their services. The installation was on time and the installing team were very good and pleasant, but I am very unhappy with the fact I will need to pay even more on top of the contract price for servicing over the next 10 years.

Had a solar panel instalation and the wiring was left in a dangerous state, even their own trouble shooter said it was dangerous. After three years I needed a new boiler and salesman came, I didnt know he was from Northern Gas. When he told me I said no to his deal to which he replied that he would make sure my solar problems would be guaranteed to be put right. They came to fit my boiler and during the fitting they removed tiling and plaster work, their aim is to do every job as quickly as possible. Some of the problems were corrected and the boiler is very good but the instalation looks aweful. The Wi-Fi thermostat just has a mind of its own and I have to keep setting the temperature manually. Despite numerous phone calls they just ignore my requests and needless to say the problems with my solar panels have yet to be put right. If you want good workmanship and after sales service, DO NO USE Northern Gas Heating.

Still got rubbish and old boiler in front garden no one been to collect it. Ruined the decking to the rear of my house and boiler not fitted properly to the wall this was all noted by the electrishon that fitted the thermostat he also took photos and yet still no follow up call to arrange it to be sorted 2 nearly 3 weeks later 😥

Not a very tidy job as tiles were took of wall and the whole area left in a mess. Plus I have learnt that the boiler should really have had a separate 22 mm supply. It takes forever for the hot water to get to the kitchen sink Plus the fact we have no heating upstairs and no one has addressed that problem. Only have one thermostatic controlled radiator and that's very old. Just unhappy about the whole job. Where the boiler is just looks a messh.

Very un professional, booked an appointment for thursday, took a day off at work rang on the at 9 to find out when the enineer is going to arrive been advided before 11, rang again at 11am said he will be there before 2, rang @ 2 again now they advised the engineer cannot make it and had to rearrange for the next week. On the 2nd booking the guy who installed the boiler was professional and got the job done but i am very disappointed about the communaction with client by the comapny it self.

The plumber was good, the salesman as well but the head office was a bunch of amateurs, I managed to get a plumber after a 3rd appointment, had to call them several times to get an invoice and my contract their admin team is non existent in fact,

I booked a service of my solar thermal system as it hasn't been working properly. I was confirmed a day for such a maintenance. However I had a no show. This has happened on more than one occasion so I feel it necessary to state a poor experience in customer service

All started off well surveyor came day after application was made and was a very nice chap indeed and explained all I needed to know and how much it would cost me I decided to go ahead with the work and signed the contract know this is where the fun began before we made the payment which was November we was told we would have a a new boiler fitted by the first week in December and was advised to pay the fee so the ball can get rolling. As advised I payed I waited till mid December and phoned them again to see what was happening I was told we will phone you in 2 weeks to book installation 2weeks came and gone no call so I rang them back to be answered by a horrible specimen of a human who was rude and cut me off in mid conversation he had no time or patience I couldn't believe it they was quicker enough to take my money anyway the 2 week phone call never happened it was allways me calling them. Then out the blue Sunday late evening 5th Feb I had a phone call can we fit your boiler Monday morning I nearly passed out lol. now due to the previous bull poo I have already been given I was sceptical but due to his word robby the engineer came and what a nice bloke he was and a bloody hard worker he grafted all day on his own untill the job was done couldn't fault the guy the pipework is like artwork a very good job indeed and very tidy no mess and all rubbish was taken away. I want to say thanks again rob if your reading this you have done a bloody good job. Would I recommend the company yes if you don't mind waiting 3 months not 2weeks at the end of the day I paid £350 for a brand new vailent boiler it's a no brainier and on that note I thank you for that northern gas heating.

I had a new boiler installed in March this year. In August I noticed the pipe from the boiler to the waste was leaking on to my bathroom floor. Despite phone calls and emails from me to Northern Gas the pipe is still leaking. I consider this to be very poor customer service . Every communication from mr to the company has been ignored Laura Taylor

I wrote a review a few days ago however its dissapeared. So no one else gets fooled like I was, ill write it again... Boiler installed, used the central heating maybe 3 times then the boiler no longer turned on. After numerous attempts to get the maintenance guy to come have a look, he came down, had a quick look at it and said it was the electrics, not the boiler so he wouldn't touch it. We have been told about 10 times now through the phone that their electrician will 'get back to us this evening/the morning after' That still hasnt happened so we're left in the cold. Avoid this company if you dont like the idea of chasing them down to sort out their own failures.

I am still awaiting a call back for engineer to fix the leaking drain pipe after three visits to do it and since 5 calls to engineers office and messages. The boiler has an intermittent fault where it randomly turns itself on running the pump in relation to the hot water tank altho not power or timer is active to it. I am very disappointed with the communication and retiring of the issue I have twice requested a new boiler as I have no long term confidence in the one currently in.

Not very happy at all with the service,they had to come back twice to repair leaks,left rubble inside and out,didn't put the flooring back right in the bathroom so it has ripples in it and a 1 inch gap at the wash basin,left the towel rail wobbly so it moves when you put a towel on it etc etc.
